He asked Anna to accept this new version of his mom. There was never any real conflict between Kento and Anna. He just thought that in time she would become the mother he remembered.
I loved this series definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a while. Kento is such a special character and it’s so easy to relate to him and root for him. I really hope we get a season two to find out what happened with Anna. I feel she stayed back to learn more about her abilities and her full potential so that would be great to see.
Kentos mom was never revived. The time demon was not able to "restore" her consciousness in time and just copied her body to trick Kento fulfilling his wish to resurrect Pandaemonium. The real body was picked up by that company and was even seen inside a glass boy within one of the trucks
Kento’s design, personality, and English voice is pulling some mind tricks on me. Every time I see him, I just wanna protect him and cuddle him as if he was my son. First time I’ve ever felt that about a character.

Anna was so cute and sweet and i just wanted to give her all the pets and snuggles. Kento was a wonderful protaganist and I loved that he gained a new family. I feel like they left it open for a season 2. If it happens great, if not thats ok too because the way it ended was beautiful. But if a season 2 does happen, I think we all know what we want to happen. Anna returning to Kento. Until then, ill believe that she does some years down the line.

I just finished this show. Personally, I thought it’s one of the best shows I’ve watched recently. Was it a bit predictable and tropey? Yeah, perhaps. But maybe where it lacks original elements, the animation, design and characters made up for it. I love that genre of post-apocalyptic fiction where it’s several decades later and society’s just.. getting on with it? Some cities have stayed the same, some have adapted, and entirely new settlements have sprung up amongst the ruins of old ones. The truck stop town especially was full of life and character. Speaking of characters - while yes, there were a lot of tropes here too, I loved that nobody was inherently good or evil (expect for Kento, who is the purest and best boy). The head of the Peace Organisation was, at the end of the day, a grandfather who wanted justice for his family. The daemon users were simply doing their jobs and trying their best to survive. Even Kiriko, who was responsible for some of the most shocking and heart-wrenching scenes in the show, just wanted daemons to be free from persecution and accepted Kento as the victor in the end. Even the characters who only stuck around for an episode or two had heart and personality. My favourite was Kokonoe - everyone rallies their daemons’ abilities to save everyone on that bridge and the dude just rushes up and grabs the back end of a car?? Iconic. Yes, some of the beats were predictable - I knew full well that Kento and Anna would not be together by the show’s end, and that Anna would likely sacrifice herself in some way because that’s just how the trope goes, but it was great fun getting there. I really hope we get a season 2 and they were definitely trying to set it up that way, but I also think the way it ended could work as a singular story.

Oh my gosh!!! I love this anime so much!! I have been so jaded by horrible anime that i stoped watching it all together, but this!! This was the anime i needed 😭 the main character is such a sweet boy 😢 i just wanna give him a big hug and Anna is so cute too. The woman that helped them and her monster where amazing characters too 😢 and that one balloon monster! Over all i absolutely adore this show. A part of me wnats a season 2 but the other part of me dont want another season cus the ending was a pretty closed and shut case and "second season syndrome" might hit this show and ruined it 😭. Over all an absolutely amazing anime the passing and characters were all spectacular!! 10/10 would watch again
It made me think "Teen/adult version of Pokémon, with a lot of cliche story beats" I loved every moment of this show, but I probably wouldn't have even watched it at all if Anna weren't so cute

My theory for Season 2 is that another Storage Daemon might be the next antagonist since the Seori Island was absorbed by a different Storage Deamon. The granddaughter of the chairman might be the protagonist for that season since it's all about her mother and the missing Seori Island.
They said they were creatures from hell that got pulled into their world and mutated from the nuclear power plant that went off. But Daemons can also come from and grow in humans if they’re exposed to the nuclear power plant radiation.
Just finished the last episode. Took me a bit of time to get used to the animation style but it eventually grew on me. Overall I enjoyed this series and wouldn’t mind seeing another season. I can definitely see this working as some sort of RPG game
this movie made me bawl my tears out, not even the last episode I was already crying through many episodes. The last one hits me the most.. Gosh its such a masterpiece, Netflix's animation is no joke sometimes..
Its pokemon x httyd but adult. It isn't unique, but it is well done and it really resonated with me, even though it was a bit tropey. I enjoyed the adventure. Not every story has to be new, or unpredictable, it just has to be done well with likable characters.
Ill actually be mad if they make a season 2 of this. It had a good start, an adventure to attach yourself to the characters. And a satisfying ending that would be ruined by a season 2. The show isnt perfect, but its incredibly rare for an anime to actually end to begin with, even more so to end with sacrifice that isnt completely reversed by reviving a dead major character
I think much of the enjoyment comes from the Daemons themselves - if you geek who likes weird freaky creatures but you want to see them as something more than villains, you might enjoy it. I love horror design of all the creatures and some of the abbilities, those are super creative. But i agree, story lacks originality. If it was released like 20 years ago, than maybe it would be classic. I know you complained about how episodes are structured but I personally like how those expand the world and shows different way human and daemons can interact. I aspecially was impressed by idea of daemon who regrew more legs every time he was cut, so his owner keep hurting him till daemon got completely insane. This is just... so damn tragic. I think the biggest problem are Kento and Anna themselves. You just dont care enough for them. The story reminded me of SweetTooth, but Sweet Tooth is so much more interesting character than Kento and Anna (he is kinda mix of both... the series are very similar btw) Also i think this series would probably work better as 2d animation. im not against cgi, but i feel like most adult cgi animations are... too bright. Dunno how to explain it, they look pretty, aspecially the background, but they lack depth. Even nights are never dark cause all of the neons and stuff

I’d give the show a solid 7/10. The only reason I wouldn’t give it a 10/10 is because the show is way too predictable and stuff in the show has happened multiple times in other media.

I’m just curious on what they’ll do with the island that disappeared cause that’s definitely going to be their next mission.
Some cool creatures, I liked some of the animation. Biggest annoyance, too much of the little boy's dialog was not believable little boy dialog. On and on how cute the little mongrel was for 5th time.
