Thanks for the specifics about torquing the inner and outer nuts. Advice from others to by-guess-and-by-golly the torque on those nuts is risky business.
I just subscribed... good luck on your way to 1000. Great video, clear and easy to follow. That said, you should have waited until morning to finish as it was hard to see things after dark.
Great video, just picked up a 93 w250 and going through it. What were the specs on the lug nuts you used?? Just want to confirm I am ordering the right ones. Thanks so much!
@@Fishinguy962 Ok so the lugnuts are 9/16"-18 PN: 611-204. The discs I needed were PN: 18A169A Thanks again for subscribing I really really appreciate it
@@Fishinguy962 I looked through my receipts and I'm not seeing em. Rock Auto is a good place to obtain the part numbers for various things on these trucks, then google those part numbers to find the best price.
I inherited my parent's 1992 D350 Dually 2wd 5.9L 12V Diesel. Being new to all this I found a wheel guy who had done stud conversions before, so paid him to do the stud conversion & bought a set of Vision wheels. I tried to do my own research & called around to local "specialized" diesel/wheel shops with no success. Found minimal info out there & I was clueless so got excited when I found a pro. To do the conversion from 5/8 to 9/16, he said he used Dorman 610-297 studs. Now seeing posts that 610-283 or 610-346 are a better fit. Will I be okay with the 610-297? After the kinda money I just dropped, I'm now worried. He said he matched the knurel size but Im now concerned & don't want to question it until I know more. Please help.
Hey Christina, thanks for subscribing I appreciate it! I just have 25 more to go then UA-cam will actually pay me for the ads it annoys you guys with! I will try to remember to help answer your question when I get home, please remind me if I forget.

Glad it was helpful for you! I've got lots more first gen stuff coming out soon, feel free to subscribe.
Great video man. Nice to see someone doing it without any real fancy tools or anything, definitely more of an easy backyard fix this way. Cheers!

What wheels are those?
Mickey Thompson Classic Lock, I don't believe they are produced anymore.
What size is the socket for the spindle nuts?
It's an odd size special socket 2 1/2" I believe. If you look up Dana 60 spindle nut special socket, it should come up
does ANYONE know where to get the 3 rings from 4:43-5:13
did you try ebay? maybe search D60 kingpin locking hubs snap rings?
