I wrote newtons law of motion on my encouragement board. “A body in motion stays in motion, a body at rest stays at rest…” I have set myself the target of sleeping without my phone in my room and 100 hundred days of physical activity. On day seven today and feeling great.

It's about balance between addiction and isolation. It's hard to find the balance for many, including me. The internet has so much to teach and learn and be connected, but for some it's a way to leave real life- not so different than tv back in the day. No different at all. It makes me so mad about how many people ruin a good thing.

Totally relatable - but for me it's escapism. It's avoiding the trauma from my past that I'm still allowing to creep in and cause anxiety.
I'm so self-aware that THIS IN ITSELF causes stress responses and anxieties in the KNOWING of what I'm doing to myself.

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

Is anyone at all feeling this way? I'm 33 a single mum but was always very motivated determined, even before being a mum. Over the years especially 2020 and 2021 where I decided was going to be my best years. I was living temporarily living with family who are negative and not very ambitious. I feel like I'm at this stage where I'm fighting to be the best version of me but I'm exhausted as I feel like over the last 10 years or so people have tried to change me, change my perception of the world because of their own unhappiness. I was feeling amazing at both the start of 2020 and 2021 and I want to feel the same for 2022 I want my excitement back. I feel however that soo many pieces of me have been taken away in some form that has lead me to feel like I'm at this weird stage of fighting yet again or just becoming mediocre in life which was never me. I used to be excited, passionate and truly believed we can have or be anything. Has anyone learnt to overcome this and get your true self back and even better. My daughters only 4 and I want to be high on life how I was previously

I turn on a Mel video immediately when I wake. Just about any Mel video gets me on track. It doesn't need to be a specific subject. Just hearing her talk puts me in a state of action. Reminds me I'm changing for the better. Mel Robbins connects with me like no motivational speaker has. I have stopped hitting snooze, I wake up earlier, I high-5, but I need the 10 min meditation, 5 goals for day/Journaling parts to feel more organized. These videos are still my training wheels. I am less depressed than I've been in many years. I think when I get my morning routine down I'll be ok with leaving phone off or out of room, but right now, I'm in the best state I've been in because I found MR about a month ago.

OMYGOD Mel great advice!! I've been trying SO hard to keep my phone in the other room so I DON'T go for it first thing upon awakening and start scrolling and never looked at doing that as "bombarding your brain with bs." But I haven't because I don't want to get up and have to go to the other room to turn it off lol. But I'm definitely doing it starting this TONIGHT. I do however, make my bed first thing in the morning because I learned that it makes you feel like you've accomplished something early in the day and when you get home, it's already made vs, being tempted to want to jump back into a messy bed lol.❤️🥰🙏🏼

My morning routine…Get up early, meditation in bed, make bed, glass of water, cup of tea, feed the fur babies, yoga, shower, walk dog, quick breakfast, go to work by 6:45 a.m.
