SAAB FESTIVAL 2019
This is my very first Saab vlog video so please bear with me :) Thanks :)
We wanted to show you guys what you are missing so join us on our trip to the Saab Festival 2019 in Trollhättan, Sweden. Although there are many amazing Saabs we will focus mainly on Saab 9-5 NG and Saab 9-4X. So please enjoy the video and let the Saab passion intoxicate you.
We had an unusual trip on friday we started at noon to catch the Saab photo shoot at the former Saab factory now Nevs. We then had a really relaxing weekend. To bad it was raining a bit to much. Sadly I lost 2 memory cards from the Gopro cameras so missing some videos.

Thank you for you're amazing work love this I'm a fellow Saab enthusiast in the USA I have 3 glacier blue metallic manual saab 95. 2 sedans arc trim 2 of the 6 made for usa and a aero wagon manual 1 of 3 I know of one more of the wagons owed by an enthusiast also have not located the final glacier aero manual wagon here in usa yet and I have a 2005 black auto aero 95 wagon no sunroof no roof rails rare here in usa and it has navigation and cd changer also. I'm in love the the brand saab! I'm trying to preserve these for history. Will follow your account and enjoy all your content

i feel saabs biggest problem was that they were always 10 years head of their time and noone really understood em.. Cars still look freaking fresh and could have rolled of any production line today.

This comment is pretty freaky, I picked up my 3rd saab at the weekend and My 18 year old son literally said exactly the same thing (almost word for word) 😁
GM another contributer to theire demise.
Yeah just if they where a little bit old school
Saab was sold alongside Saturn and Pontiac. They weren’t marketed properly by GM. Probably because even GM didn’t understand what they had bought. Saabs engineers were nuts and it’s a damn shame that GM couldn’t market it properly. I fault GM for Saabs demise. They wanted Saab to sell rebadged crap, and Saabs engineers refused because it went against everything they had built, and because of that GM pulled the plug.
So many perfect cars in such a perfect home and final resting place. I am passionate about cars and about 7 years ago I discovered Saab.... when I see videos like this I am truly gutted that such an iconic and pioneering brand is gone replaced by generic hatchbacks and saloons all on sharing platforms.
Thankyou for this video reminding us that although the brand itself is gone the enthusiasts are more alive than ever ! :)
Yes is so sad what happened with Saab :( This was a great event and meeting so many Saab fans is just great. 😍😍

If you own and love your Saab, you must go to Sweden on that pilgrimage to the Saab museum. We as a family went in 92’ in then our 82’ 5 door turbo.. 24hour crossing from UK to Gothenburg. Happy days love you Sweden ❤️

I had to learn to do basic maintenance myself when Saab dealers disappeared in the NYC area. Very doable by watching Saab owner DIY channels. I appreciate the SAAB engineering much more now that I look under the hood more.

Really enjoyed this as a new fan to the Saab mark here in Australia. Good to see the cars are well respected and supported in their home country.

Years ago I bought a used Saab because I couldn’t afford a BMW and the Saab was in really good shape, I didn’t know what the brand was, but it was fast and in perfect shape, after that I went and bought two more Saab’s, when things got a lot better for me, I went and bought the BMW and Mercedes always wanted and guess what? I just back back my old 2006 Saab I had sold 10 years ago and I am planing on rebuilding the entire car because no other car has given me as much satisfaction as my old Saab

My youngest son got his 1st car in March2019&its a 1owner 2004 SAAB95-2.3TURBO AERO&we are fixing a few things on it that happen after 15years on the roads in Louisiana,but it runs great&interior is perfect.Just a few cosmetic issues mainly the clearcoat in the hood&top&trunk lid.we have wet sanded it &sprayed it but when I save the money Im gonna get it painted for him.
Those 9-5 Wagon are one of the best car ever made.

FIAT group in the past wanted SAAB and OPEL, GM said NO.
@@ciro534 they sold it to spyker eww they could have sold it to koenigsegg or fiat but koenigsegg would have done it perfectly

My son has a 2004 Saab 95 2.3turbo Aero ,it was a one owner&he enjoys his 1st ride&I like it to&being GM bought em in 1987 some of the parts aren't hard are costly to find.

@@MMSaabChannel Definetely! Usually it is not allowed to park in front of the Scandic Swania hotel, but during the festival it was recommended by the hotel itself.

At 28 minutes in - that SAAB is so pretty... We are on our 5th SAAB - 2008 9-3 sportcombi aero.. Its in almost most of our edits too. Ours is blue too.

Thanks for this video! I didn’t see any 99’s or many 900 5-doors! I must try to visit the Festival in one of mine! My pals from Nottingham, UK go to this event, and now you have shown what it’s like I feel I need to see it too. I’ve had 11 900’s & 2 99’s.
My 1990 900SE i 5- door is my daily driver just on 175,000 miles, & I love it!
Wow! 11! A true Saabie 😍 Yes there was many 900/99 it's hard to get all the Saabs on film plus focus is on the late 9-5 NG sc/sedan 9-4X. But so many beatiful Saabs. Next year you need to come for a visit then :)

I think the problem was they did not do wide enough range to get enough sales, like other car brands, a mini, a hatchback, small saloon, medium saloon, large luxury, sports and SUV etc. Thats what they all do nowadays to cover the public demand in each area.
Regardless what happened with Saab this video shows that we are many out there still driving Saab everyday! :)

I currently drive a 9,3 Turbo X 2008 XWD, simply amazing, and the one before was a Viggen, i wrote before it was a 2003 which cannot be but i think it was a 2002, i just don't remember exactly, aging memory!!! And no papers or pictures to help...

Why are there so few 93 Aero Sedans (2007-2011 facelift)? I've just bought one in snow silver with a few Hirsch Performance mods and it's one of the best looking in my opinion. It looks similar to the one at 47:12. Is it a rare model ? I'm in the UK.
Actually not a rare car in Sweden. But guessing they scrapping out the cars in UK faster then any other country sadly :(
@@MMSaabChannel They are not very popular here. Probably because Saab is no longer around and parts are expensive. I hope mine lives a long life, I already love driving it.

I can't say how many years I drive Saab, because I risk ruining the square with the girls, but they are many years, the first was a 96, then a 900i16, then a 900 t, then again a 9000 aero, then again a 93 , a 9.3 TiD and a 9-5. I wanted to know if you plan to repeat the initiative in 2020. Thanks Giovanni from Venice-Italy

They are Hirsch wheels 😍 Very hard to find these days. Cost around 40 000kr or 4500 US dollars new. Sometimes they come up for sale in facebook group. Also been made a few copies in very simular design.
It are only the newer saab we have seen not the old ownes like the 900 900
