- Hey there, it's me, Jen! Today, I'm gonna be talking about my CT myelogram recovery journey with you.
As many of you know, I underwent two CT myelograms, 24 hours apart, to assess a potential CSF Venus fistula. And I’m pretty sure you’re all curious to know how the recovery period went and how long did it take. So, in this video, I'll dive into what it was like on the day of the CT myelogram procedure, how I felt immediately afterward, and the days that followed.
To be honest with you, my CT myelogram experience was a bit of a rollercoaster, from the procedure day to the recovery process, and I want to give you a firsthand account of it all.
Let’s talk about managing post-procedure nausea, soreness, and even the rebound high-pressure headache. Plus, I'll also share some insights on how my CT myelogram recovery was impacted by getting a fibrin patch and dealing with a head cold shortly after the procedure.

I freaked out about getting my first MRI for the longest, bc I heard all the horror stories and people taking sedatives. I got through without sedatives, and actually got totally relaxed and comfy, it went super fast. I had a great tech, he was a little eccentric lol 😅but super supportive. I believe sharing personal experience soooo helps people. So thank you so much. Oh the Daily back pains with the positional headaches, ear ringing…. And suffering through it knowing you have a leak but your doctors are submissive of your symptoms.

Can't wait till Tuesday!!!!! (And we completely understand if you ultimately decide that you aren't comfortable sharing the CSF leak dr.'s name) This significantly lessens my stress about it if I ever have to go through a myelogram (we're still trying to figure out whether my "allergies" are just from a deviated septum (since they do respond to allergy meds, but even those aren't always enough to keep them at bay), or from something more serious, like an actual CSF leak, or it's possible that it's actually both - hopefully I'll know within the next week) - it sounded really scary when you were talking about it back when you were trying to decide between blood patch and myelogram, but these recent videos have definitely put my mind at ease (my only real concern at this point is that my back being cold is a seizure trigger for me (and it won't stop until my back warms up), so they'd have to take special precautions to keep that from happening).

I have heart a lot of people talk about getting sick after a flight. Colds aren't contagious, so maybe it is just the sinus pressure changes? It is just curious. 🤔
The cold, man 😩 agreed they're not contagious - I think it was the disruption of travel and the horrendous lack of sleep pre myelograms that stressed me to the point of becoming ill.
@@MommingwithMigraine Probably. Also could be a quick change of allergens in the air.
Either way, God please let Jen heal quickly and completely. Please let these tests give her the answers she needs to move towards the healing You have already set in motion. Please give her doctors the wisdom they need to find the problem and fix it. In Jesus' name, amen!
