Yeah Shinji is pretty much the product of what Anno set out to do. A realistic take on a kid being pushed by adults to fight against an unfathomable enemy, while being expected to just tank the losses and pain. I don't know if Anno expected people to hate Shinji, or even if he thought about how his MC would be perceived. Narrative-wise this was new territory (aside from maybe Ender's Game), so he might've just gone "let's find out what happens".

All of the events are the same as the anime except that Shinji ever fell In depression, so this time he was the only one to maintain his synchronization rates, and he also was there for Asuka, this changes the ending of the anime and the End of Evangelion. Because not only did he never get controlled by Kaworu, Asuka was also in perfect condition and managed to eat all of the mass produced Eva models sustaining only superficial wounds. And all of his was written organically so it doesn't fell like it was a forced good ending

Asia is unfairly hated because she doesn't even do anything truly annoying. She tries to get Issei like all the other girls, and she doesn't act too possessive like Rias or Akeno. She's always on Issei's side, supporting him, and showing him her genuine love. Heck, she doesn't even act like a tsundere to be annoying. It's hard to live in a world where a character is hated for being innocent and kind.

She has the most bright thoughts, she has never done anything wrong to anyone, she even had to endure pain. And she's not so popular in anime to hate her. Near actually didn't solved the case easily.He taked help of " Melow ", the " FBI " and his other associates. L left a recording before his death in which he stated that Light who was working as a " Second L " was kira. It helped a lot to " Near ". With this help he already knew " Light " was kira and he exposed him by using " Melow " as a bait and the officers working with light. The whole anime was about to find the " Kira " ,which L did. If it wasn't for L 's help Near could never find the kira no matter what. Cuz Light was the smartest character in the whole anime and it took many geniuses to stop him.

The Sakura hate is very much a bandwagon thing and unwarranted. The reasons people give for hating her are dumb or make no sense. It's almost like people ignored the anime when watching it. The memes made it so much worse to the point that newcomers automatically think bad of her. Once that sets in it's hard to change.

People actually take that part as a joke. I haven't seen anyone take it as fact yet. The two characters' situations and memes can not be compared. Memes can affect how people view a character by exaggerating certain things.

Around about the mid 2010s is when the memes got out of hand, but the hate wasn't that bad. Around about when the C19 hit, that's when it got bad. That's when the number of newcomers skyrocketed. Mind you, the story was over for years at that point. No, it wasn't humiliation since she was not a hated character before the story ended. She still remained in the top 10 of the most popular Naruto characters to this day.

This just tells me that she wasn't that popular with many female fans. He never regretted writing her. He only had a slight thought of making hinata the heroine because of her popularity. the thing about Kazuya Kinoshita is the whole manga is being viewed from his POV which includes his self thoughts about everything. Remove this part he's much likable person than the FMC because Kazuya does wonderful things just to make Chizuru happy and avoid the other girls become sad (Ruka). If you think about it removing the cute girl defense Chizuru, Mami ande Ruka are the ones who deserves to be hated for being pain in the ass to Kazuya. I blame Reiji for not giving Kazuya some justice because he's like Gojo he's being hated by his own author too. Additionally the author's obsession with Chizuru puts the manga in question if Reiji really wants for deliver what his readers expects him to do or he wants Chizuru to end up with his self character Umi. I think this stats are only focusing on the western readers which fully centered on stereotypes and bandwagon on which character should be hated because it makes them look cool.
Gabi - Hated for killing Sasha, who was an enemy soldier at the time, and eventually came to regret it on seeing the aftermath. Eren - Considered a tragic character for killing billions of people including babies and either directly or indirectly getting most of his friends and comrades killed...including Sasha (who he laughed at when she died), and rejoiced when he reached the point of total sociopathy when he lost all empathy for misery he caused. ...I think AOT fans loathe the wrong character.

Plus, she did a good job demonstrating just how monstrous (power wise), the top tier fighters in the tournament really were. She was by no means my favorite character; but, she served her purpose well enough. I can’t hate for that.

But when I see clips of her in Japanese, I find her soo annoying, really it's the repetition, the tone of voice, uggh I think it's because "Kurosaki kun" is long to say, and in french obv she calls him Ichigo cause names don't work the same way as in japanese, so the voice actor has 2 syllabes they have to replace with other words, so even if it's doesn't really change the overall meaning of the scene, it does wonders to not make it seems like she's a parrot 😂. I wonder if it's the same in the english dub, for example "Ichigo, be safe !" instead of "Kurosaki kun !" ?

1:25 there is a character in a fanfiction I made about a different anime from code geass, where there is a character who is similar to Nina. She is much more insane, and she is kidnapping various individuals with ties to the organization known as Chevalier and torturing them for information (essentially she is an intelligence hound). During a search, she gets lured into a trap, and she ultimately falls into the ocean while trying to escape, where she drowns.
I didn't saw some of these anime, but don't understand why all this hate for Sakuna, she is a good person, loyal to her companions, and Tsunade is training her as a great healer.

I never got the Near hate. Although he does inhabit the same character archetype as L, I personally find him a bit more relatable. As for "easily" solving the Kira case, I think that's a misconception. Near took a different road to L by not directly approaching Light until the very end. This allowed him to act more freely in regards to the case than L could, and that is one of the key aspects why Kira finally got cornered.

The thing that got me to hate her was when she lied to Naruto telling him that she loved him now and not Sasuke. This was easily her worst offense.

I agree with almost everything on this list. Sakura, though hated in the first half of the Naruto/Shippuden series, did later redeem herself compared to other female protagonists in other anime.
Sakura doesn't deserver all this hate, she's amazing! Without her help, a lot of people will be dead ; plus, she's one of those who has the most merit because it fights relying only on its own abilities and without any Kekkei Genkai. I'm totally agree that she was very unbearable and weak compared to the rest of the team in Naruto, but that's why I like her much better in Naruto shippuden because she has changed a lot and become much stronger and USEFUL.

Yeah Shinji is pretty much the product of what Anno set out to do. A realistic take on a kid being pushed by adults to fight against an unfathomable enemy, while being expected to just tank the losses and pain.
I don't know if Anno expected people to hate Shinji, or even if he thought about how his MC would be perceived. Narrative-wise this was new territory (aside from maybe Ender's Game), so he might've just gone "let's find out what happens".

Because not only did he never get controlled by Kaworu, Asuka was also in perfect condition and managed to eat all of the mass produced Eva models sustaining only superficial wounds. And all of his was written organically so it doesn't fell like it was a forced good ending

L left a recording before his death in which he stated that Light who was working as a " Second L " was kira. It helped a lot to " Near ". With this help he already knew " Light " was kira and he exposed him by using " Melow " as a bait and the officers working with light. The whole anime was about to find the " Kira " ,which L did. The Sakura hate is very much a bandwagon thing and unwarranted. The reasons people give for hating her are dumb or make no sense. It's almost like people ignored the anime when watching it. The memes made it so much worse to the point that newcomers automatically think bad of her. Once that sets in it's hard to change.

Around about the mid 2010s is when the memes got out of hand, but the hate wasn't that bad. Around about when the C19 hit, that's when it got bad. That's when the number of newcomers skyrocketed. Mind you, the story was over for years at that point. No, it wasn't humiliation since she was not a hated character before the story ended. She still remained in the top 10 of the most popular Naruto characters to this day.

This just tells me that she wasn't that popular with many female fans. He never regretted writing her. He only had a slight thought of making hinata the heroine because of her popularity. the thing about Kazuya Kinoshita is the whole manga is being viewed from his POV which includes his self thoughts about everything. Remove this part he's much likable person than the FMC because Kazuya does wonderful things just to make Chizuru happy and avoid the other girls become sad (Ruka). If you think about it removing the cute girl defense Chizuru, Mami ande Ruka are the ones who deserves to be hated for being pain in the ass to Kazuya.
I blame Reiji for not giving Kazuya some justice because he's like Gojo he's being hated by his own author too. Additionally the author's obsession with Chizuru puts the manga in question if Reiji really wants for deliver what his readers expects him to do or he wants Chizuru to end up with his self character Umi.
I think this stats are only focusing on the western readers which fully centered on stereotypes and bandwagon on which character should be hated because it makes them look cool.

Personally, I thought her and her team did a pretty good job breaking the tension during much of the arc. I think it's because "Kurosaki kun" is long to say, and in french obv she calls him Ichigo cause names don't work the same way as in japanese, so the voice actor has 2 syllabes they have to replace with other words, so even if it's doesn't really change the overall meaning of the scene, it does wonders to not make it seems like she's a parrot 😂.
I wonder if it's the same in the english dub, for example "Ichigo, be safe !" instead of "Kurosaki kun !" ?

I never got the Near hate. Although he does inhabit the same character archetype as L, I personally find him a bit more relatable.
As for "easily" solving the Kira case, I think that's a misconception. Near took a different road to L by not directly approaching Light until the very end. This allowed him to act more freely in regards to the case than L could, and that is one of the key aspects why Kira finally got cornered.

The thing that got me to hate her was when she lied to Naruto telling him that she loved him now and not Sasuke. This was easily her worst offense.

I agree with almost everything on this list. Sakura, though hated in the first half of the Naruto/Shippuden series, did later redeem herself compared to other female protagonists in other anime.
Sakura doesn't deserver all this hate, she's amazing! Without her help, a lot of people will be dead ; plus, she's one of those who has the most merit because it fights relying only on its own abilities and without any Kekkei Genkai.
I'm totally agree that she was very unbearable and weak compared to the rest of the team in Naruto, but that's why I like her much better in Naruto shippuden because she has changed a lot and become much stronger and USEFUL.
