Lovely, this seems so much more punchy and driven than the album version. Love it. Only thing that challenges me is that this came from 1981 - amazing :D
Got 1 copy left with this excellent maxi single ,the fine thing it's pure mint condition, unplayed and and the record seal is unbroken ;). Had a huge Kraftwerk collection i sold for over 20 years ago, collected with a friend who past away in the late 80s. Thought many times what that collection would have been worth today. Probably over 20 000 euro.. Well we collected together, and without my friend o couldn't feel the same way about the gathering and investigations for super rare vinyls and other Kraftwerk related stuff.
"Computer Welt" is maybe the second best Kraftwerk song for long road trips... "Autobahn" will always take the number one spot for that. (Number three: Probably "Tour de France."!)
Lot of people today dont understand how complex this music needed to be programmed in those days. Recoding was analog so your "editing" was very limited. Midi standard was implimented one year later in 1982 meaning the synths are all played via cv or live. Anyway the hardware was exotic, had to be soldered diy, expensive and limited. No market for such music yet. Musical and Creational imagination skills/thinking out of the box (it was rock or classic, the mayority grew up to). Considering all this its so fascinating to listen/hear even today.
I kinda prefer this version of Computerwelt. Those Korg basslines from Bartos are far more prominent and agressive compared to the studio version. In fact, the basslines are more similar to the ones during the Computer World Tour.
I can't get over this version of this works. It's like hearing the Talking Heads Burning Down The House Live Version,...You Can't go back and listen to the Studio one Crap!!! And this is up for debate? DEVO Satisfaction? Need to say No More.
You think these guy's started all this electronic Tecno sound in around 73 74 stuff like this wasn't herd of then that's whot made these guys special way way ahead of time and as for this I like the sound
The diverging volume levels.... when I cued it back to start of 'numbers ' I overshot long story short it blew my mid bass driver.... : ( I don't even think numbers IS the EP or even deutsch version thumb down : (
lol willem, you are ignorant. Why would Trump hate this song? It's a great song and predicts the future. Not all republicans like Trump, smartass! He's nowhere near perfect but he's better than every other president America's had for the past decade and a bit.
I was lucky enough to see them in 1981 - Hammersmith Odeon !
Computerworld tour !! - what a 21st birthday pressie !!!
30 years later and still actual ;-) bekomme immer noch Gänsehaut
Don’t you mean 40 years? Even more mind boggling!
This comment is so 2011
Love the little nuances that the cd version doesn't have. It is amazing to hear this in all its sonic goodness!!!
Tempra1997
It sounds different than the version on the LP because this is the 12" inch "Special Mix."
The remaster is way better sounding.
@@iliketowatch. Thanks...
@@SonofHendrik but the remaster is the album version right? this sounds different in sound and different lyrics
Die deutschen Fassungen der Lieder klingen besser, echter und schöner.
Play more Kraftwerk. Play more Kraftwerk Now.Play... And be happy. RIP Florian.
This is a great version. Computerwelt is probably their best album and well ahead of its time.
It's the original version. All other versions are offshoots of this version.
Amazing version!! Grazie Florian per la musica che ha accompagnato la mia vita fin da adolescente. R.I.P.
1 - Computerwelt (0:00)
2 - Nummern (5:05)
3 - Computerwelt 2 (8:25)

I beleive this is a love performance version. It has some of the characteristics of their earlier live shows

Music for driving long distances on a clear road
In one of the early 3D-open-world-Games, like the Mercenary series.

"Tour de France."!)
@@iliketowatch. computer liebe #1 song
I hope you get busted
Immer noch aktuell.super grupe
Kraftwerk's music must go beyond from the year this came out: 1981 and the 2040's.
Definitely ahead of their times and ground breaking musik

Was this released before or after the album? Sounds amazing, more uplifting than the album version (but that one's still really good though)

And I'm coding right now. This is funny, don't you think so?
The fourth dude on the right looks like Bill Skarsgard.
But is Ralf
altamont und ghb.
okk
It's too fast and too limited. Thank you for the upload.
In one part sounds like it's saying hungary.
Handel
Tremendous
😅🎉
Florian Schneider on vocal, rarity!
Deu um ar mais sério do que a voz do Ralf.
The lone dislike is Donald Trump.
Clinton owns the Internet, she did it
The Internet was invented by FRAKTUS! Kraftwerk is BTW only a rip-off of FRAKTUS.
Now three
republicans have that "i know you are but what am i" rebuttals. very immature just like their orange god
