Thank you for sharing something so personable. The reason I subscribe is because I have Graves’ disease as well. I use to feel so bad not being able to garden like other people but when you made that one video to help garden with an autoimmune disease I was hooked. I also going into surgery for endometriosis next month. I feel for you as I cried because I been advocating for myself for years. Gardening is the only thing I can feel center and at peace with my body. Thank you for being you.
Thank you for sharing your story about chronic pain and fertility struggles. It really is true that women's pain is not taken seriously, and there have been studies in healthcare that show that. I'm glad you found a provider to take you seriously so you can get the care you deserve. I went to a GYN a year ago and had a terrible experience, and there's such a long wait time to see other providers that I just gave up. Thank goodness for the garden. 🌻
Oh gurl, I feel for you so hard. I went through unexplained infertility, too. I have psoriatic arthritis and was just diagnosed with scleroderma. It’s very lonely and the emotional toll is not talked about enough. The unpacking of your worth as a woman is totally what I have gone through too. The stigma, the sadness… it’s so much. Hugs to you ❤ we are not alone. Thanks for all you share!
I’m sorry you can relate 💚 it really is too much some days. I read the mental toll of infertility is comparable to a cancer diagnosis and endo is considered one of the top ten most painful conditions. It’s wild that we can know that and still be gaslit into believing nothing is wrong.
@@thecottagepeach thank you. I’m sorry you’re going through this too ❤️ wow, that is really scary news to receive. I read that scleroderma is considered the “worst autoimmune disease,” because of the decrease in life expectancy. Sometimes what we read can be alarming, but when you don’t feel listened to, what choice do we have but to do our own research and advocate for ourselves?
Awesome, informative video! I am so glad i watched! I grew ground cherries 15 yrs ago and forgot all about them! Thank you!!❤ I am sorry you arent being heard. I have seen a lot of women speaking on women's health being brushed off. I do hope you find the perfect provider that truly listens❤
Thank you! I’m glad it was helpful. I did recently find an amazing provider who gave me the diagnosis. I honestly had to take some time to really process the fact that someone finally believed me. But things are finally looking up and I’m glad I have a plan 💚
Ooh I'm also a big knitter, crocheter, and handspinner! Have you ever considered growing your own flax or keeping silkworms? (you can actually let them fully develop, you don't have to boil them to get the cocoons!) I wanna grow dye plants - hopi black dye sunflower, hopi red dye amaranth, dyers' chamomile, dyers' woad, madder...A ton of different options! I'm probably gonna try making a dye garden this coming year with my mom (she and I both do fiber things). I'd love to hear if you do anything similar! Also...oof, the whole not taking women's pain seriously thing. I feel that *so hard.* I've had chronic back pain for almost a decade now and I still don't have a diagnosis. I'm gonna start pressing my doc for further testing because I can't keep living like this, it keeps getting worse, and...yeah. I'm so sorry it took 20 years for your pain to be taken seriously and to get answers about it. Best of luck with everything in your fertility journey.
I haven’t! Tbh, spinning fine has never been my jam - I’m not a very precise spinner 😂 flax could be sooo fun though!! Hmm I need to think on this. Maybe a fiber garden is in my future. The only natural dye I’ve done so far is avocado but a whole dye garden sounds amazing 🤩 Sorry you can relate to the chronic pain 💚 I hope you can get some answers soon. It’s so frustrating having to be your own advocate when you aren’t feeling well
Thanks for sharing! I know it wasn't easy to do. ❤ Also, it is soooo hard to stop getting tattoos once you start! I'm no where near 18 but I love your tattoos for sure.
Thank you for listening! 💚 the tattoo struggle is real hahah. I started getting more last year as a way to improve my relationship with myself since I’ve had a lot of negative self talk due to all my health problems. It’s really therapeutic!
@@thecottagepeach I had a friend with chronic pain and we would go get Friday the 13th tattoos together because it helped her forget her pain for awhile.

Thank you for listening, and sharing your own story 💚 I hope you can get some relief with your surgery! Thank goodness for the garden

Thanks for listening! It’s awful how common these bad experiences are. The garden makes everything better 💚
