"the new red playground" . . . think it's fair to say in many ways our daughter grew up on that playground/park. that Green St. lane is the first lane I've had her use and 1/2 now. that's cool I didn't know you were there. JP Westie rides

😂ha I was just thinking no riding the inner circle when you said it

pretty solid respect of the inner I would say. Here and there I've seen people cycling inside. Lot of room there to stretch it out and ride.

@ I only learned this Fall that the walkways at Millennium are supposed to be bike free. One of my birding friends admonished me when she caught me on my bike there. 😀

@@LawrenceConnolly really? are you saying all of those paths inside Millennium should have zero biking? seems like a great resource for all people outdoors biking or walking

@@LawrenceConnolly maybe Boston could use Back Bay Fens as an example to lay out clear cut walking/running vis a vis cycling paths if that is what the city sees as the best solution. That park is always under some type of construction/restriction and there is no signage in terms of the paths and where they want you to be cycling. And add clarity on Millennium and others.

@ yep, couldn’t believe it myself but it’s right there on the Park signage

From Green, you should go straight at Centre and take Myrtle St to Pond St. This avoids going on Centre, which is a door zone death trap.

Good points. Right turn easily versus possible wait at light probably habit. Plus I like going by The Joint🚴🏼

I think I'll compare this a few times. That left turn onto Pond from Myrtle you have to inch your way out depending on cars coming down Pond towards Centre. Sun could be an issue as well. Entering Pond early has advantages but you have to deal with Centre as you point out.

Since this came up I'll toss in my Centre St plan - no parking or cars from the Fire Station to the Post Office (of course first responders and commercial deliveries, ride share). Improve the sidewalks and streets, add seating, more bike racks but most importantly let the buses flow through and have clear cut and protected bus stops. Build vertical - max 4 stories (which is already there but nobody admits it).
