Major General VPS Bhakuni, VSM, was commissioned into the Dogra Regiment in 1981. He has rendered distinguished service of 37 years in the Armed Forces. The General Officer has participated in various operations including Counter Insurgency operations viz., Operation Pawan (Sri Lanka-IPKF), Operation Rakshak, and Operation Parakram in Jammu & Kashmir. The General Officer has performed the duties of Colonel General Staff (Operations) of a Corps in Western Theatre and MGGS (Info Sys) and Chief of Staff of the prestigious 15 Corps in Srinagar when Kashmir was under floods in Sep 2015. The General Officer assumed the responsibility of Commandant, Selection Centre South in Jan 2016 which is tasked to select officers for Army, Navy, and Air Force till his retirement in June 2018.

I got recommended in nda145. I have a doubt, is it possible that some afsb aspirant with army as 2nd prefernce can take seat of army just because he has more marks with condition he is fit for army in medicals. Like can someone's 2nd prefernce take over someone's 1st prefernce just because he has more marks?
Yes. If a person who has IAF as first preference but he is not AF fit then he will be given Army or Navy based on his preference and fitness. His rank will obviously based on marks in all rounds
@@amanraj7184 yes sir, i am aware of that. My query is, if we have 2 candidates now for 1 army seat one is army preference 1 and other is the af candidate whose army preference is 2. Now who will get the seat will that be on basis of marks or preference
The one with higher marks
As your preference is secondary and subject to fulfilment of medical standards and seats available. If is not fit for Air Force and Navy but has more marks than someone with Army as first prefence, he is getting that seat.

Que:- sir I am 2 times confrenced out repeater for cdse INA and IMA entry , I graduated in 2019, from then I kept focusing on defence forces particularly cdse and I didn't try for other jobs , even till today I m preparing self for my next ssb ! Sir my question to you is :-

@Maroon Aspirant I felt the same and I even went for job but the job lead to me into another way, I was not able to manage time for studies , as it was 12 hours of job in construction project. And also there was no leave on sunday like I had to work 12*31 a month. , Thus I thought again and left the job as I was getting degraded everyday.
But yes I m planning to start giving tuitions.
