I'm 6 ft and 300 ib. Just bought the Ariel Rider Kepler step through. It's plenty big for me. I've only put on 24 miles so far around the neighborhood and I'm loving this ebike. 👍🥰

Bought 2 Magicycle & loving them. My husband is now on a bike again it has been 6years since his last ride. He is 6'6" 275lbs & the Magicycle is a great fit. He is 62. He wants to know why we didn't get e-bikes years ago. I am 54, 5'9" & back on a bike again after a 2 year hiatus. I have hip issues & I am loving this bike. I now ride at least 5 miles a day. If I want to go more than 30 mph then I jump on 1 of my motorcycles.

I have been looking bought 2 Lectric bikes of my doctor friend. He bought 2 I set him up for him. Not much to do. He got
on no helmet decided to show off.hit a bush broke his wrist. I used both for a few months. Gave them back After a month
he sold them. Great entry but I wanted a lot more. Decided on the Ocelot pro then saw a number of reviews bought the
Deer received it today. Tomorrow is the big day. Noticed you have horses we have 1 horse and one Donkey. Wonderful creatures…

I purchased the Magicycle pro step over combo that came with an Xtra battery. They had a 1/2 off second battery promotion so total cost was $2232. I've had it for about a week now and it's wonderful. Unbelievable power. One thing you'd isn't mention was the Magicycle has the ability to change how many pas levels you want up to 9 and the percentage of power on each level. So simple and fast to change you can do it when your stopped at a light. Great feature for first time riders. Hope this helps. Thank you Keith W.

Ive seen that about the PAS lvl adjustments on the Pro also {nice feature} the display on the pro is much better than the kepler
the kepler has NO adjustments for each PAS level, bummer
How is the low end torque on the pro?
how does the pro do on hill climbing?
the keplers not so good, just a tiny bit better than my 48v 750 watt flurry. so im still searching for a better ebike.
that M Pro is looking good, I need to see "if" its better at climbing [top speeds not so important to me]
20 mph is good enough & 28 to 30? is faster than I want to go on a trail. [ignore the limits ha ha]

Thanks for a great review. I have the Magicycle Pro Step-thru and love it. I was worried about the greater speed option with a couple of other brands, but find that I am averaging 18-20 on most bike paths, and especially love the front basket and mirrors. I have over 100,000 on Gold Wings but am almost 80 years old & have decided to let that part of the adventure go. The two year warranty is a major plus to me. I've become a subscriber - good luck.

Kepler for the win imo because of a couple things.. much taller vertical handle bar stem plus a long adjustable stem on top of that for much more upright riding position. The Kepler gearing is a major plus with a 52t chain ring to a 11t rear sprocket for the highest gear. This means a much more slower cadence at higher speeds. The Magicycle has a 44 or 42t chain ring to a 14t rear sprocket for the highest gear. This means you're spinning your legs like crazy to hit 28mph. And obviously the 1000w vs 750w motor. Much bigger, more sturdy rack on the Kepler. Unlock to 35+mph. These reasons and being $200 less makes the Kepler the better bike.

    • @drobostoko5714

Backrack looks more sturdy to me on the Magicycle. But the rest of the comment makes sense.

@Drobo Stoko Actually it's the opposite. The Kepler rear rack is larger & sturdier with a 77 lb capacity. The Magicycle one is dinky.

There is no question the Kepler is an amazing bike. I just turned 70 and unless I’m going down a very large hill . And living
in New England we have some very large hills. Doing 28 mph is not something I’m looking to do. I really like the Ocelot but
now after reading and watching on UA-cam the Magicycle Deer with full suspension this really seems to be the E Bike for me.
Also at least in my state. You can get a rebate if the bike is under 1000 w. And the motor they use is one of the best..

My wife and I chose the Magicycle. My wife got the Ocelot Pro and I chose the Deer. We're very happy with our choice. I really like this Ariel Rider Kepler though. I actually had never heard of it when we bought ours but one main deciding point for me was we have a Magicycle dealer locally so we were able to give our bikes a test ride before buying. We bought locally so the bikes were already assembled and ready to go as well as the bike rack for the car. Also I bought the demo Deer he had at 1,900.00 out the door because it had 52 miles on it and a very, very tiny scratch on the crank. All in all we're really happy, however if we had no choice but to order on line I'm sure we would have considered the Ariel Rider Kepler had I known about it. This was a great comparison video and I don't think you will regret purchasing either one.

  • @Joseph-kk8bq
    @Joseph-kk8bq 2 роки тому +7

Your comparisons are excellent, as is your voice. I ordered the Cruiser Pro Step-Over Sunday and according to FedEx it will be delivered tomorrow. I hadn’t heard of Ariel when I made the decision (but I did comparisons to at least 7 other manufacturers). After learning that Ariel takes at least 6 weeks to ship, versus 2 business days for Magicycle, I don’t expect to be returning the bike. I have seen several complaints on the web about Ariel’s manufacturing defects, but none against Magicycle. I imagine that with the approx. 5 mph better speed, slightly higher torque, and $90 lower price, most people will agree with you and choose the Kepler. The Kepler might technically require a license plate, but I agree that could probably be avoided by claiming the display settings limit it to 750 watts and 20 mph. For all I know I will be scared to go faster than 20 mph, but if I find that 30 is not fast enough, I will buy a Kepler too and do my own comparisons! FYI, according to a video I saw, the Magicycle has adjustable handlebars too, although Magicycle does not advertise that feature. Nor do they advertise the USB charging; I learned about that feature from you. Another commenter claims that unlike the Ariel, the Magicycle has cruise control; if true, that advantage will be huge! Magicyle also has a significantly better website and more accessories, like batteries (as you mentioned). Bottom line is Ariel is really shooting themselves in the foot with their 6 week production delay. If not for that, I would choose their lower price and approx. 5 mph faster speed over Magicycle.

im leaning towards the pro too.
the biggest concern for me is "actual" hillgrade climbing ability.
the kep display adjustment are limited [in a few key [to me areas]
the magic pro has a better display as for view, adjustability [IMO] anyway
warranty & better known? goes to pro, Buut
my largest question is the ability to climb a grade better on the pro?

I have a couple more differences. I see someone has already mentioned the extra bottle cage mounting area on the Kepler. The Magicycle has the controller mounted there. The other thing is the weld quality. On the step thru versions (not sure about the other) the Kepler has polished the welds. It's a nice quality touch. All in all, I'm pretty sure anyone would be happy with either of these bikes.

I bought the Kepler and the stand over height is way off...the 28" is where the top bar connects with the seat post bar...I returned my Kepler and got the step thru model instead...still both of the bikes are very big...They actually changed the spec on their website based on a pic I sent them for where to measure, it's now listed at 31.5" stand over. They were very understanding of my position and offer great customer service and help. Top notch parts and a great running bike but really wish I would have bought a smaller size bike with either 20" or 24" tires. I'm 5'8" tall and these are big bikes for me...Can't imagine most females fitting on either one...If you are looking to buy please keep that in mind. The models they show in their ads must all be large adults...

I would definitely go with the Ariel Rider Kepler , for 1, I already have a Himiway Cruiser which I bought for $1500 2 years ago that's been fantastic and I figure that if somethings going to go wrong , it will happen within the 1st year. 2nd It's all about speed with me , I'd love to have a little more speed and power than my cruiser. It already goes 28 - 30mph and I get around 30 miles on a charge without peddling in favorable conditions . I've seen that the Rider only gets around 22 miles at aprox 36mph however. So I would definitely need at least 1 spare battery because this is my only form of transportation. Thank you for the fantastic breakdown .

WOW! GREAT COMPARISON VIDEO! WELL DONE!
I have already done my own comparison on these two with the Aventon Level. The Kepler won for various reasons, many mentioned in your video. There were a couple in the video I had not considered. These confirmed my choice of the Kepler.
I love in Knoxville, TN and it is an uphill cycle climb going and returning in any direction; at times extremely steep, down right sick inclines. The sheer hill climbing torque is what caused me to return to this bike again and again, deciding to purchase.
Still, I'm glad I watched this video. Very informative, well researched presentation.

Minimum rider height for the Kepler low step is 5'2" in my family. And that means the seat is all the way down, which is kind of tricky. You have to rotate the seat to the side, lower it so the bottom of the seat is below the rack, and then rotate the seat back in place. This means the underside of the seat is below the rack, and the top part of the seat is above or nearly flush with the rack.

Excellent comparison, and although you did not have the bikes to toss around in person, you went the extra mile with your research. For me it would be the Keppler, but that puts me in a quandary. Locked to genuine class 2, there's nothing outstanding about the speed. Unlock it, and the bike is illegal, yet can't be registered as a moped unless it has a VIN. Ariel rider flaunts being above the law, but no one is sure how long that gravy train will last. No, I'm not a killjoy, and I actually ride a52v dual Tesla battery RadMini that peaks at 3200 watts and 45mph.

I agree with your conclusion, between the two, I'd pick the Kepler. However, what I personally purchased was the Ocelot Pro. I'm short. I'm a senior. I've been injury-prone. Accessibility is a must feature for me. The Ocelot is well-suited for riders like me. I'm very happy with my choice. It's fast, it's nimble, and it has plenty enough range for my needs. It beats the hills of everything in my neighborhood. There is one steep hill in downtown that I haven't tried yet (I'm not proficient enough to try to ride it in traffic).

Great review, however, my Kepler does not have a usb charging port in the display as indicated in the video. Maybe that's because I got the first version.
You are also not limited to 5 levels of assist with the Kepler. You can change the assist levels up to as many as 9, but that doesn't make the bike go faster. It just divides the speed range into that many target points. In other words, if I set it to have 4 levels of assist, Level 4 will hit the top speed of 32 mph, whereas with 9 levels of assist, Level 4 will only go up to 19 mph. Level 9 will hit 32.

Not sure what Magicycle's warranty exactly is. Magicycle's warranty terms are worded very poorly but from what I understand. "All Magicycle bikes are covered under our 2-year, all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects." The section that mentions the 7 day coverage is under the "Parts and Components" section which makes be think they are referring to the separate replacement parts that are purchased separately through their site (like if you buy a battery charger separately). Their warranty also states "Magicycle will offer free components and replacement parts" but will charge for shipping. So, who knows.
They definitely need to clarify their warranty - or maybe it's muddy on purpose.

I don't know much about Magiycle either so for all I know they treat their customers similarly however the two-year warranty, if they actually honor it, would make that one of the biggest pluses to consider. Because when/if stuff breaks, a 1 year warranty for a powerful bike produced by a company that tells you to pound sand when you try to get assistance is worthless.

battery voltage doesn't increase capacity or max power output which are related to the number of cells and individual cells characteristics. changing the serial parallel configuration trades Volts vs Ah and A.
for same battery size and motor, more voltage means higher rpm, less torque and better efficiency. of course, as long as the motor supports the voltage and amperage. battery should be designed around the motor, and ideally provide both the highest voltage and highest amps that it can take. from there, adding more Ah will simply increase capacity and also will make sure the battery doesn't overheat during heavy use, but usually a BMS will do it anyway.

    • @Altema22
      @Altema22 2 роки тому

Voltage does increase overall storage capacity. A 48 volt battery pack has 13 cells per string, a 52 volt battery has 14 cells per string. Not a huge difference in the real world (960Wh versus 1040Wh), only enough to give you 41.6 miles instead of 38.4 miles at a usage rate of 25Wh per mile, but it is SOME difference 😉. The bigger difference is speed (kv x V=RPM), but even in that department the difference is not huge by itself, which is why I use field weakening. Maximum amperage output is a factor of the cell discharge rate and the BMS, but companies usually put a more robust BMS in higher voltage batteries.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, *The everlasting Father,* The Prince of Peace.
    Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, *God with us.*
    John 1:1 & 14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word was made flesh (Lord Jesus), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
    John 8:24 (Jesus speaking)
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
    John 14:9 (Jesus speaking)
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
Hebrews 1:1-3, & 8 (God calls His Son "O God" because Jesus IS God in the flesh)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
    2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
    3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
    1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, *the Almighty.*
    Revelation 22:13 (Jesus speaking)
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

There Are None Righteous / How To Be Saved
    Romans 3:10 & 23
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
    23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
    Luke 5:31-32 (Jesus speaking)
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
1 Peter 3:18 (The word “quicken” means “to make alive”)
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
    Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
    Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
    Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Repent of your sins or suffer the consequences. Lord Jesus died in our places personally to take the death punishment that sin deserves and then resurrected by the power of God. Believe this and sincerely repent of your sins each time you sin and you will have eternal life and nothing to fear. Fail to repent and you will end up in the Lake of Fire.

All of the world's little children will be taken to Heaven by Lord Jesus to escape the end of the world. They will suddenly disappear into thin air all at once.
Right before the final 7 years of mankind's rebellion to God's will is initiated (called the Tribulation / apocalypse) there will be a great rescue of the little children from earth to Heaven. Lord Jesus will have taken them home to safety. This includes little babies and toddlers and even those babies that are still growing from conception in their mother's wombs.
      Matthew 19:14 (Jesus speaking)
But Jesus said, Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.
      Matthew 24:19 (Jesus speaking)
How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
(At the start of the Tribulation - why not dreadful for the children themselves?)
      Isaiah 47:9
But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children...
      Isaiah 49:22 & 25
22 Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they (angels) shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
25 ...and I will save thy children.
      Jeremiah 10:20
My home is gone, and no one is left to help me rebuild it. My children have been taken away, and I will never see them again.
      Jeremiah 31:15
This is what the Lord says: A cry is heard in Ramah, deep anguish and bitter weeping. Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children are gone.
      Micah 1:16
Shave your heads in sorrow, for the children you love will be snatched away. Make yourselves as bald as a vulture, for your little ones have been removed from you!
Right after the little children are rescued from what's coming the next major event to happen will be a major asteroid impact. This will come with signs of light in the skies heralding its arrival 3 days in advance, described below.
      Matthew 24:27 (Jesus speaking)
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
      Luke 10:18 (Jesus speaking)
And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
This next bit comes from dreams and visions God has given us over the years. The skies turning colors is directly in reference to Matthew 24:27 where Jesus warned us that there would be a crazy light show going on right before the 2nd rapture. Jesus Himself set the course of the coming asteroid in order to wake people from their sleep. Upon impact this asteroid will cause a 12.0 earthquake, a mega flaming shockwave for many hundreds of miles, world wide mega tsunamis, will split America in two, and will even stop time for 3 days as the sun and moon will stay in their places in the sky for those 3 days, and finally will kill millions of people.
This asteroid is going to land between the island of Mona and the city of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico at 2:00am Puerto Rico time. (We know the hour, but not the date).
When you see these final signs you'll know it's beginning:
      - The skies all over the entire world will turn colors like the auras
      - After that the skies will turn red for 3 days as a final warning
      - Then the asteroid hits
      - Then the 3 days of darkness arrive where all the light on the earth is extinguished. No light from the sun or moon or stars. It will be so dark you will be blind.
      Revelation 8:8-9 (The asteroid)
      8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
We now know that we’re waiting for the children to be taken home and the skies to turn colors like the auras. When the skies start acting up, there’s 3 days left and we know the asteroid impacts at 2:00am Puerto Rico time.

A single 750 watt motor is lame. 1,000 watt motor with 1,800 watt peak is awesome.
