I agree. She even smiles as soon as she says "it crushes them" when they find out. I feel like even though she does need sympathy and understanding, she also still needs to be held responsible for what she's done by spending time in a correctional facility. Every evil action deserves consequences. No consequences for her= no sympathy from her so make her pay.
Agreed. Short life expectancy or not, mentally ill or not, this is the life she chose for herself. She should not be exempt from the consequences just because she's developmentally different. It's a lesson that needs to be learned. She chose this.

she needs to be in a facility or at least have someone be in charge of her funds and affairs for her and others sake!!!!. She is at mental age of a preteen and will keep on doing this! An appointed guardian would see if she has odd money flow.

The producer lady was so patient and gentle with her. The part that struck me was how much she had to mother her like you would with a young child. I'm not excusing what she did , it was terrible and painful, but she may need mental therapy.
I'm also amazed how calm the other guest are at first , like it seems they just want to understand

No one loved her.
Because people genuinely don't care. I know a girl from high school who behaves very similar to her. She was bullied heavily and barely anyone wanted to hang out with her because she would begin to stalk you and harass you constantly for attention. One time she took pictures of someone else's baby, another teenage girl, and posted them on Tik Tok pretending the baby was hers. And then randomly posted that the baby died when she got caught. It's absolutely sick and disturbing but everyone saw it. Teachers, administrators, parents all saw it. But instead of getting her help they just made excuses for her. Really sad.
Because society doesn't care Emilia girl, that's the simple truth. Early intervention through home and school is the best outcome for disability and challenging children. Most cases its because the school is at fault and doesn't protect the child from bullying and they act out because they are frustrated and aggression is what they use to communicate. I see it all the time through my children's schools and unless your strong and voice your opinion, the children slip through the cracks.

I have a 26 year old daughter that reminds me of this young lady. My daughter doesn’t scam anyone but she has special needs. She has a chromosomal deletion. It’s called DiGeorge Syndrome, or Velo-Cardio Facial Syndrome. There is a laundry list of symptoms and not all are present with every person with this disorder. The thing is...My child is on the Autism Spectrum but she is bright in some ways...very manipulative...yet...She just doesn’t behave like a person who is not affected by her disorder. Reality is skewed for these folks. They don’t feel entitled to act volatile they just act the way this girl is and think they are acting like they should. This is probably the saddest episode for me. Special needs adults don’t just have Down Syndrome. Some of them are darker than that. They take a village to raise and support through life. Literally, a village. My heart goes out to all of these people that were scammed but, I feel for this young woman and her Father. I hope she gets all the help she needs.

All the hate and comments making fun of this girl is awful. I do not excuse her actions, I couldn't imagine and it's deviating, but her brain doesn't work like ours. Who only knows what it's like to be her. I applaud the couple, because although they are hurt and angry they are also so understanding and compassionate. The other women I believe they were out for "blood" until they realized the situation and didn't want to be the bad guy being mean to a mentally ill girl. In the end though it has nothing to do with any one of the people watching,me included, so to see all the hatred makes me sick.
I have a brother with special needs. If he hurts someone he says he’s sorry and he looks like he’s sorry. This girl should not get a pass. Being developmentally delayed does not give you permission to be cruel.

I'm commenting from my sons account but it's really sad to me to see people without comprehensive knowledge of mental illness commenting on this when in reality the smiling and abnormal behavior is extremely typical of people with certain mental disorders or delays and is not indicative of lack of empathy but rather the person does feel empathy/remorse/guilt but smiling or other tics are displayed as a way of coping often times due to a social aspect that goes along with whatever disorder or delay they may be suffering with.

Marie Chanel this. You didn’t attack her appearance or anything which I appreciate human to human, but this is the sort of thing she needs to see about this situation to change into a better version of herself.
I think what she liked was playing the role of the pregnant woman. She was scamming the couples, but she was BEING the pregnant girls. And interacting with the couples about the “baby” was a high for her, because knowing she had convinced someone else of her fantasy made it a little more real in her head. Someone else out there actually believed she was carrying a child, so that made it a tiny bit easier for her to believe. Absolutely batshit insane, definitely. But I think that was her logic at the time.

I am amazed at how patient the staff and Dr. Phil are with people that have no remorse. I honestly feel I lost all faith in humanity by watching so many of these videos with different people and different scenarios, and Dr.Phil is so devoted to this, to helping people. I literally just fell victim to this woman last weekend. It really is as bad as they describe in this episode. Calls and texts every 5 minutes. She wigged out because I “abandoned” her for the 30 minutes I needed to take a shower.
Our adoption network led me to this video after I reached out to them for support. I was a wreck. By the way, “10 couples” is an understatement. I was told she has done this upwards of 300 times.

she reminds me EXACTLY of a girl i met in the psych ward. she would physically harm people and then pull the suicidal card. she was in there for three months before i got there, and didn’t leave during the month i spent there. that’s a gabbie if i’ve ever seen one.

I think they still need to keep the charges, go to court, and see what they determine. She doesn't get a slap on the wrist or a time out because she's "not all there". She does know right from wrong. She knew well enough to come up with all these schemes and scam multiple couples and only apologizes once she messes with the wrong people. She needed this. People need to be aware of her as well. She doesn't get to cause havoc and devastate people. She's.. a monster.
