Hi 👋 I had the pleasure of meeting you both last night, when you saved me (lost at the Poly trying to find the lobby) 🤣🤣🤣 what a wonderful channel! I am so happy to follow along on your adventures! My son and children were so excited “Mommy met a Band Teacher” 🎶 🎶 🎶 p.s. that was a HUGE frog 🐸 on that light 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you again! Theresa 😊
You are too kind! Thank you so much for watching! 😃 We’ve got a live show in the works for this weekend, so watch out for an announcement on that soon.
@@TheMagicInTheMusic I certainly will! I offered them $157/point on a 50-point loaded contract. The agent sounded very confident that it would pass. I hardly slept last night I'm so excited, hopefully the process can be done within 90 days so I can book a stay in March :) thank you for all of your videos, your advice has helped me make an informed purchase
Yes, you're right about the tower studio but I expected it to be tougher to book than it is. At least for Riviera owners, it doesn't seem to be an issue to get at 11 months.
I am an original AKL DVD owner, my name is up on the wall and the first few years it was easy to get value units. Not anymore but I am on the computer at exactly 11 months and 8:am and now I generally have to go on a waiting list but I usually get it. The same goes for concierge except I never get it at 11 months but usually within a week I get it. This trip coming up I got it 4 months later. I actually have a value unit and a concierge unit.
Wow! I’m so jealous that you’re on the wall! That’s so cool! 😃 It’s really interesting to hear from you as an original AKV owner about how booking patterns have changed over time. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your perspective. Best wishes! 👋
You can also try a split stay. We are going in April 2022 during Spring Break. 2 nights at CCV and 4 nights at Jambo value studio. Sometimes if you search for dates in the middle of your trip, you find availability. We did book 11 months out and own at AKL.
I just booked 3 days 2bedroom club chased by a 2 bedroom value(staying at the lounge on checkout day) …, felt like I won the lottery. We are very flexible with the times we travel otherwise i never would have got it.Good stuff😀👍🏼
My hunch is it would be at least a little easier to book these rooms if places like David's and DVC Shop didn't own thousands of points where they just constantly walk reservations for their rental clients.
Yes, there are quite a few people who rent out their unused points, but DVC prohibits people from renting large quantities of reservations, so these companies would not be able to own tons of points to rent out. There may be some individuals affiliated with these companies who own some points that are rented through them (I don't know this - I'm only speculating), but the companies themselves would not be able to do this. They would be shut down by DVC if they did. But yes, you're right that a certain percentage of points will be used for rentals each year and that might make it harder to get certain room types, although we've never used any of our points for rentals, so I suspect that the vast majority of points are still used by the owners themselves.
Have you ever tried to book a low inventory DVC room? Tell us about your experience.
This is GREAT information. The reps will definitely talk up those rooms but they don’t tell you how difficult they are to get.
We’re obviously fans of DVC but we think that if people have realistic expectations, they will be much happier. Thank you for watching!

Your videos are just awesome - you are like a Disney planning life coach 🤣 Thank you ma’am for all you do ❤️❤️

I’ve been watching your videos too much! I just put an offer on an animal kingdom contract and it was accepted. I’m so excited!!!!
Oh, wow! Congrats! 🍾👏 Be sure to let me know if you pass ROFR!

Similar thing for studios. The tower studio at Riviera is another one. Good point on budgeting for a category up.

Great advice! We always do split stays.

Congrats! That’s going to be a great trip! I agree that flexibility is key with getting those rooms.
Great video as always Jenn. I previously spotted these value rooms. Some of them appeared to have a terrible view of the car park lol :D
Yes, a few have a view facing the entrance to the resort, but many do have savanna views. Thanks for watching!
