  • Ingredients
    3 1/2 cup
    1/4 cup sugar plus 1 tbsp extra
    1 tsp of salt
    60 g melted butter
    2/3 cup warm milk
    2/3 cup warm water
    8 g yeast
    Filling
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter (room temp)
    1/4 cup bread crumbs
    extra bread crumbs for rolling
    Note:
    After baking just let the spanish bread sit for a while, this will give time for the filling to settle so the bottom of the bread will not be soggy.

    Oh my God im really thankful for this recipe. Im a normal grade 9 student and our teacher said that we will bake spanish bread and i found this recipe. I didnt really expect that many people would like it. Me and my groupmates dont have any experience on baking because like ive said we're just normal students. Then, the directress and one of the bosses in our school loved how it taste! We got 100% grade from our teacher. This recipe of yours is really amazing and it made me happy. Walang halong biro i try nyo to kase ang sarap talaga grabe pramis. Cross my heart. Thank you po ulitt!! God bless you po!❤

    So, I think this video needs a ⚠️ next to the part where it should be cooled down before eating them. I read a lot of comments about how amazing this recipe is and I asked myself if it was really that good. I made 16 rolls and they literally disappeared before they could cool down. The aroma alone brought everyone to the kitchen. I ate four of them myself, piping hot! These are so delicious! 😋. I altered the filling and made a mix of brown and white sugar, cinnamon and butter. I spread it across each piece before rolling so I wouldn’t end up with a big chunk in the middle. I am definitely making this more often. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

    Bread flour has more protein content than all-purpose, which helps with gluten development. Some recipes call for it when an especially chewy and elastic crumb is desired. You can use all purpose flour if you don't have bread flour you can use all purpose flour but expect to have a little bit of difference in the texture it will still work.

    Hi! How come my dough mixture's so thin and won't go thick like a proper dough mixture? What am i doing wrong? I followed all the correct measures of the ingredients...

    • @mysweetambitions
      @mysweetambitions  9 років тому

      donromantiko24 do you mean rise? it needs to rise make sure the yeast is alive, when I am rising the dough I usually put my dough in the oven then I boil water put it in a jug and place it in the oven together with my dough the heat and steam of the water will help my dough to rise quickly and efficiently. You also need to knead the dough quite allot to develop gluten . Hope this help.

    • @christeltiu2225
      @christeltiu2225 9 років тому

      My Sweet Ambitions I think he means the mixture is not even turning into the dough at 1:59 cause it is happening to me too. I can't transfer the dough to an oiled bowl because it is liquid. Tried it twice.

    • @mysweetambitions
      @mysweetambitions  9 років тому

      then you need to add more flour, there can never be an exact measurements for flour because some days the dough will need more flour than the other day, you have to be patient kneading the dough as well. if you cant roll the dough into ball then its obvios it will not turn into a bread

    • @christeltiu2225
      @christeltiu2225 9 років тому

      My Sweet Ambitions I put mine in a kitchen aid stand mixer for more than 15 minutes and it still did not form. I will try adding more flour next time but I just do not know how much extra flour i need to add.

    • @mysweetambitions
      @mysweetambitions  9 років тому

      just add flour a tablespoom at at time if you see the bottom of your bowl is clean and the dough hook has pick up all the dough then you are ready.,

    thank you for this recipe, made it last night and it was perfect. just one thing, i cut the amount of yeast to half, 8 grams yeast gave the dough a strong yeasty smell... i don’t have a stand mixer, so i knead by hand for 7minutes and let the dough proof for 2 hours. i cut dough pieces into 50 grams each, i got uniform and perfect spanish roll.

    I've tried 2x on mixing my 2/3c of warm milk and 8g of active dry yeast and it's not making that bubbles you mentioned. How come? What am I doing wrong? Please help.

    • @mysweetambitions
      @mysweetambitions  8 років тому

      +Hani Mabs what about the sugar? Did you add sugar on to the mix? Water should be lukewarm? Did you check the expiration date of the yeast? Sometimes it takes about 10 minutes or more to see the bubbles, if it does not happen most likely the yeast is dead

    • @hanimabs4521
      @hanimabs4521 8 років тому

      Oh yes, I also added the sugar too using lukewarm milk. The expiration of the yeast isn't till Aug. 2018. I waited and waited, still couldn't see any bubbles. Tried it for the 3rd time and still no changes. So, I ended up using lukewarm water instead of milk and it worked except, it was a mess after baking it. The filling was melted and all over the place. I don't know what I did wrong????
