My Jurassic Park Kenner Toy Collection! Series 1 and More!

Hey everyone!
Today I dug out some containers from storage and wanted to go through them with all of you. These boxes contain all of my series 1 Kenner Jurassic Park toys from 1993. I had most of these as a child but these were tracked down and repurchased in 2014. I hope you enjoy rediscovering some of the toys from my childhood along with me.

I think I was about 10 years old when these came out along with the movie.
I had older dino toys, and they were very crude.
When the JP toys came out they looked very realistic to me, I remember being very impressed.
The young t-rex was the first one I got, and at the time it felt like owning a real actual dinosaur.
They were very expensive though, a lot of nagging had to be done for my parents to buy me one.

Man I had the same things even the compound when I was a kid too. I left for the military when I was 18 and never saw them again 😪. But you said it, I saw JP in theater when it came out and it just always stuck with me. That and Star Wars lol. 👍

very cool. Had an overwhelming urge to buy a sealed on card series 1 raptor the other day to hang on my wall lol. I just did two Revell Lost World ML350 model kits that turned out great

The raise in value that they do in 10 years is so low that there is no reason to do that. Just put them on display instead of being one of those whiny guys. There are other things to collect if you are about the money -.-

. That book is one of the most pivotal things in my life. It not only got me into dinosaurs and the absolutely best film of all time, it got me into a band called tool. Their guitarist designed the T. rex and other dinosaurs in the film. That kickstarted my interest in music,the arts,the occult(by way of Danny Carey).

This is pretty much what I had as a kid. No longer have those from my childhood which is why I wanted to re-buy them all.

Wow amazing. I all of those too but mine are without boxes. I've never seen the boxes to the vehicles. I have an interesting story of how I got mine. I should post a video about it sometime. I was a fan of the movie from the start. It came out right after my highschool graduation. I was a teen still. I still kept all of my toys and was obsessed with the movie and still am. I was into dinosaurs before but then REALLY got into them after this. Grant is the human hero of the movie. He's easily my fave. As an adult now I really appreciate the human characters. I love them. I never cared for the other series because I didn't like that if they weren't in the movie or looked like the characters I didn't want it. I own a jeep now too because of Jurassic Park but it's not the original from the 90s. Wish I could get one of those.

I have nearly all series one cards, but i can't remember the trike, stego and red t rex cards needing to be cut off the box, but the 3 cards i have are cut? Any information on this?

I bought these about 9 years ago and still paid a pretty penny. eBay and toy shows is where I picked mine up but I would also try fan pages on FB. Just be careful as scammers sometimes take advantage of the fan groups. The first one I rebought was the red Rex. Good luck.
