Hi thanks for your review. However, I think you should turn down the background music when you speak, it's too loud. And you said you have an iPad - then it would have been nice to test the screen mirroring. But anyway, I have a nice introductory impression of the Sony player now!
I've installed Plex on a PS3, PS4, Samsung and Sony TVs now. The client application differs slightly between each of these devices. I find the Samsung TV client, which looks the same here, works best. The PS3 client is very laggy and more simplistic.
Lovely player mate.I have one too.Did find though a few issues regarding plex & the inbuilt copyright control.Got a few rips that end up with no sound.I ended up with roku 3 & amazon fire tv units that handle plex better & will play all my rips with sound.Big Kodi fan too.This is a real belter though for amazon instant.I actually prefer the amazon app interface on this to what the fire tv actually offers.Yeah shame it ain't a little quicker but on the whole it's pretty good.Forget the web browser though it really stinks.

Thanks for this review, I got a question about de smooth movements in a Bluray disc or in Netflix, Have you activated the auto motion plus in smooth opcion in both , I mean tv and this Bd H6500 at the same time, I ask this because I love the soap opera effect and I´d like to know if this effect is possible with this Bd model, besides my tv is able to show 240 hr´z but to improve this effect I need a bluray with this opcion.
I bought this a few days ago, but I'm unable to play my Shrek 3D blu ray disc. Why? Is it my TV problem? It plays the other 2D blu ray disc or DVD, and I've update to the latest firmware, but my Samsung BD-H6500 still doesn't play 3D blu-ray :(
I have a QNAP NAS as well streaming to an amazon fire. I am starting to do my movie library all MPEG which my old Sony bluray player played just fine off of my old seagate central system. However my amazon fire lags pretty bad on MPEG formats. does this player play MPEG formats through the plex app well?
+Marshall Custom Models I've never had an issue with playing any video format from my plex server to my plex app on my Samsung TV or Bluray. However, I have had issues with Cinavia stopping the sound after 10mins or so on some videos. If that happens I tend to cast it from my phone to my Chromecast.

I just installed plex on my 2014 Samsung TV and i am not impressed at all, how on earth do you manage to navigate through a large library of films if you can only see 6 on screen at any time (plus what it shows on the deck which i haven't figured out what it is yet). To me the layout sucks, there is a huge amount of screen real estate just wasted and its slow even with a dual core tv. I think i will be going to to KODI/XBMC which i know has its own set or problems but at least i can navigate my library.
MrSeanTownsend "on deck" is content that you've started to watch but haven't finished yet. This can be part of a film, or part of a series of TV shows. If you've watched say the simpsons s03 e08, on deck will display s03 e09 the next show so you don't have to go hunting for it next time you come back to watch more. Personally, I've not found any TV or bluray players that out perform a Roku box... but yeah the Roku isn't much better at the moment. There is a new improved menu layout coming (it's in testing for PlexPass users at the moment), but certainly as the Roku stands now, doesn't look like the one in this video. On the roku at least, Plex does provide a huge amount of meta data filtering for the content you have, so you can filter all movies and tv shows with Robbin Williams, for example, or find a horror via genre, even by date or director.
I don't really use any filtering, even on KODI, i prefer to scroll through my content to decide what to watch. I have already moved back to KODI on my Raspberry Pi2, i just need to buy another Pi2 to use as my NAS. I was hoping Plex would be as good as the KODI UI but i guess i was wrong, SMART TV's still have along way to got if you ask me, in fact i doubt i'd buy another, all the smart functionality can be brought in from other connected devices as a much cheaper price with better functionality.

Do you know if the H5900 Samsung Blu-Ray player has Amazon Instant Video yet?

Can the plex on this player stream videos in 24p and dts HD or dolby truehd? Im planning to get this player.
Can you get sky cinema app downloaded on to this bluray player? Also can you get virgin tv go app downloaded on to this player?

+BublzMedia sorry took ages to get back - you can access media on your network.. was surprisingly easy actually.
Can you also change the plex skin?
