    You got the point Sir. To a "realised" Hindu (was he?) there is no distinction of "selves"; you and I or he are the same; divinity is one, and we are all divine. The traditional Hindu greeting "Namasthe" simply means: I bow to the divinity I see in you. The ice cream was perhaps his pooja offering to that divinity he saw in you.

    That's what Indian culture is all about sir...yes you may encounter some filth here too as you will in any part of the world, but other than that, we people are happy to serve our guests. our scriptures, our traditions and our values teach us "Atithi Devo bhava" meaning "guests are gods" and let me tell you that it is the only reason we have accepted every culture and every religion with open arms.
