I think this is the best Day of the Eagle cover I have ever heard in my life. Guitar solo at 2:05 not slavishly copying the BofS record note-for-note but completely nailing the feel of Robin. We need a lot more bands covering Robin Trower music like these guys. Respect
I usually don't like covers unless they are entirely rearranged & presented in a different style, but you guys are actually very, very good. Everything is right where it should be & it's all clean & precise. You will find Trower fans either embracing your effort or calling you wannabes. I think you're giving Trower a wonderful respectable compliment. Of course, if I were Robin Trower I would have to start looking over my shoulder more often to keep people like you from catching up.
Link you are so dead on and a great inspiration your knowledge of great music uncanny. It is such an injustice we all cant be like the greats but for those of us who aren't you of all people should be. You are simply amazing if your not doing a great song you are busy doing a greater song. Fabulous choice fabulous cover fabulous person. Thank you for your efforts
Very Very Nice Take it from one of the top fans of the boys, that waited impatiently for his next release. I was a little sleepy when I clicked into this, not now.
Wow!!! You guys are on fire!!! I agree with "marbleheadband" that this is the best cover I've ever heard of this great song!!! You guys play the song every bit as well as Robin Trower,James Dewar, and Reg Isidore? (drums) did.I saw this great trio perform this great song at Winterland in San Francisco,as they toured to support the release of their classic "Bridge Of Sighs" album in the 1970's.
Damn that guitar tone has balls and those vocals! Your drummer and bass player kick ass too. Gotta go roll my morning joint and will listen again! Thanks fellas.
Great, great sound, really captures the song. Agree with Rexicano that the vocals would benefit from being a little higher in the mix but a really good cover, congratulations.
thanks for sending me this , this reminds me of trower from the 70s , i seen him 7 times , oh by the way , the bass player looks like trower , just saying , great version !
I too play this song and you guys did a great job!! Vocals sounded great! Have you recorded it in a studio yet? I see you are from Helena,I drove through there and all I could remember about it was my first time I ever ate taco treats.LOL! If you ever make to Phoenix hit me up! Thumbs up on the one and only Trower! More, more, more!!!!
Very few bands I've ever heard can do justice to this song. Your cover is not note-for-note, but it is EXTREMELY close, and anyway, I say, so what if it isn't?! Robin would never play it again note for note either -- at least not the solos. What's important is to get that soul into it and CLEARLY you boys got that goin on. Props on the Dewarly vocals also. .
Video VERY cleverly put together like you guys were all in the same room at the time of shooting ...heehee.(yeah, I make videos too) ...but neverthegoddamnless!!!...WOW!!! ..This cover blows the fucking roof off!! Subbed, (hopefully?) friended, and see y'all at the Aspinall Arms come summer perhaps?
To me Robin Trower is one of the all-time greats, and this performance is great! As somebody who grew up in the 60s & 70s I really like this garage-style raw performance-rock done RIGHT! Sometimes studios polish it up TOO much! Live rock is SUPPOSED to sound like this! Everything's just right to me here-this is how I started out! And, as a bass player, it makes me want to come out of retirement!! Check out my bass playing if you like on my UA-cam #100 video. P.S. I subscribed 2 u!
I am not kidding when I tell you guys that these are the best vocals I have EVER heard for this song. Top notch, guys!!!
WOW! Excellent cover. Love this track from back in the days. Drummer knows all the parts and even sounds like the actual recording.

that's a very very good cover, top marks
Super! Robin is my all time favorite and you guys do him full justice.
Impressed. Pat needs a Trower custom shop Strat. He is obviously quite worthy. They play like butter and sound dreamy.
Nice work... cheers.
Welcome back, Kurt & Friends. You are great!!!
Great job boys! Keep up the rocking!

Me likey!
Who else was playing guitar during the solo?
I was playing the drums during the entire song! lol!
Remember, if you want to play like Robin you have to make a lot of faces while you play....lol. Seriously, though, GREAT job, everybody!
NICE POWER ! Tight music with strong vocals! (what a novice concept?)
Got a feeling you never played together Physically. Am I right? Cool as an Alaska breeze!
cool
Nice guitar work, are the other band members virtual? Not on the same stage? But added to video?
