I like the skins, they look great, but these prices are ridiculous for what you get. Even the lower tier one is VERY hard to justify that cost
People keep saying "oh is just optional, nothing game breaking" and I get that, but staying quiet about things we do not accept is how companies keep pushing predatory practices
It is exactly thanks to those retarded defenses that gaming companies can just satiate their greed. I support Digital Extremes, but not this disgusting FOMO bait, cuz this is the kind of thing that turns ppl into actual assholes and tears the community apart.
Hell that's how it started with D2's monetization hell and if we don't push back they will try to cross the line over and over again
In case I am not clear for some reason, I have NOTHING against supporter packs and microtransactions in a free to play game, Warframe and Digital Extremes have to make profits somehow off of a free product. The past supporter packs I've had no issues with, but this time they have decided to lock a WARFRAME DELUXE SKIN behind a FOMO paywall. The problem isn't the pack or bundle, the problem is the price of the bundles.
No one would be batting an eye at $30-40. Especially with plat.
Zero plat at $70 and 600 at $90 is an insult to players.
i bought the largest pack i can. the only problem i have is the measly ammount of plat i got with it.
everything else seems fine to me, infact this is better than their most famous use of FOMO the founders pack, since its cosmetics not stat upgrades.
i dont think this is overpriced for the items i am getting at all, i think this is overpriced for the tiny ammount of plat.
again, i dont really care though, as i have already bought it, and will continue to buy things from DE

Absolutely agree. Right after Tennocon I went to the website with the intention to buy these super cool skins, as both Mag and Frost are among my favorite frames. But when I saw the prices, I was like "nah, ain't paying THAT much". Sorry, but just ridiculous price.

That would've been cool however I think they just wanted veterans to reminisce on the old metas with these cosmetics, since mag and frost dominated in the early days.
If they did that AND had the prime versions along with them I’d think that make an excellent 10 year anniversary bundle.
At least now we know why the 10 year anniversary in-game rewards were so lackluster, the stuff they actually put effort into was meant to be sold for the price of 2 full games. What a wonderful gift to people who supported Warframe all these years.

I agree with this, except... the price choice. The halos are essentially auxiliary attachments (they don't usually count when part of a bundle), and if we're going by how Deluxe skins are normally priced, these together would be around ~375 plat (including everything except the plat and Regal Aya) which would be around £15, if it was bundled with the plat and Aya.
That I would tolerate. £60 for two skins and redeem tokens for their Primes feels like a poorly-thought cash grab, especially when there's already skins like Frost Harka, Mag Penumbra, and Tennogen that could do similar.
The thing I personally find darkly amusing is that this is the only recollectable gripe I've really had with Tennocon. The 'games on your phones?' bit was more of a hilarious, if not unfortunate, callback to when Blizzard did that at their Blizzcon - but it's impressive to see phones capable of running Warframe.
I think the zenith pack is really good bought it. Also Warframe just has good optimziation hood on DE for making the game run on potatoes

@@civrk5221 The Founder's Pack was the 0th Prime Access. This one has Regal Aya instead of the Primes.
While I get the 'yeah it's to support them', the price for two Deluxe-tier skins, an emote most will never see, a sigil and glyph should not be that.
The Regal Aya and plat bumping the price to the level of a Prime Access is what's annoying here.
DE could set the precedent of being able to charge £60 for two skins, 600 plat, and 6 Regal Aya (which is really all it is at the end of the day). If it sells well to them, they'll do it again until people think it's fine to spend £30 on one Deluxe skin.
While I appreciate the supporter's sentiment, the content in that pack isn't enough to warrant its price(s).
Upside is that it's the only negative from this year's Tennocon that I can see.

It would have at least *somewhat* justified the zenith collection as right now its all skins (but they cleverly tied regal aya so players without the base frames can jump into the resurgence program instantly)

@@NovaUmbral they should just make a universal battle pass that gives a 30 day booster so long as the pass is active that makes the most sense loll, boosters, 8 forma a month, a free prime every 2 months, for maybe 15$ a month does not sound bad at all. i already do it with fn though its every season. but this will legitamtely help DE and make em calm down. or even skins with the battle pass active they have too many options

I think what really bugs me is that they said it’s like a celebration of the ten years of a warframe but it’s this expensive and sparse. Literally they could have this exact bundle with exact offerings and pricing and it would probably bug me a lot less if it was for a different reason

I feel the same. I Was so excited for the heirloom Thing, but then I saw how the regal aria increased the price extremely. Excitement instantly died and I'm a bit disappointed in DE. I expected better of them. :(
I actually agree. Considering this content is infinitely scalable for no extra cost to DE it doesn't really hurt them to have a more reasonable price and make up the total revenue in increased sales. $20 skins are too much. You can't ethically charge a 3rd of the cost of a whole game for a single skin. You can try but I'm never going to agree with that concept of value. These 2 skins are more than many entire games. There's no way I can justify paying that. I can afford it. I just draw a line at being overtly ripped off.
If you haven't paid for them how are you ripped off? Isn't it only a ripoff if you have paid and feel you didn't get the value you paid for? Me personally I buy new games maybe one or 2 a year if that and often wait for them to go on sale. So since I love warframe I'll probably buy this. For those that see it as too expensive for what you get then just move on people are so outraged by an optional cosmetic. About the ethics lmao please meanwhile triple a titles releasing with dlc 6 months after release and planned content schedules ethics are so far gone from the video game world discussion.

Value isn't just in the eye of the beholder. Value can be contrasted and compared with other products in the market. £60 buys a whole game. A whole game is better value than 2 skins don't you think?

In another 2 or 3 years will I feel the same who knows but once again it comes to down each person and I just don't think that there is any merit complaining about something that is optional. When the game first came out had I known about it would have I paid the 250 for a founders pack absolutely not. That's my point it's all a matter of perspective and personal value. This argument can be applied to anything really I could argue that a game for 60$ is a waste of money when I could buy food with that money, it's all perspective. Either way I think these discussions are important especially with a free 2 play.

If you want to give DE money there's ample ways to do that. And DE would get my money and probably 1000s, maybe 100's of 1000's of more players' money if the package was priced with a bit more awareness of what it can be compared to.

The numbers will tell DE exactly whether or not it's a worthwhile expense to players if they hit their target for sales they will do the exact same thing with the next round of heirloom skins. Or they will adjust the price and move on. Volume over value has never been how free 2 play games are funded it's been a long known fact that in most free 2 play games they are funded by "whales". This kind of incentive is exactly what the micro transaction free 2 play model is based around.

The 2 skins with their accessories should’ve been $10 each, it’s a lot more reasonable and it’s the 10th anniversary so it’s “thematic” as well.
it should be 10 to 15 bucks for the whole thing, a virtual costume change is not worth more then 1 or 2 bucks max. a ten dollar price tag on one skin is bullshit.

I want the skins, but I won't buy them until DE makes them available for plat OR in a minimal bundle with just the skins.
How they are now is a predatory tactic forcing players to buy a bundle instead of just the thing they want. I do not want to support that type of microtransactions nor can I justify spending that much on cosmetics in a videogame.
grow up dude. it's an optional cosmetic for a free game that doesn't lock you out of any content or strength. they're not forcing you to do anything, and calling it predatory is just delusional. if you don't want to support it, then you can do the same thing as 99.9% of players, and just don't buy it.

What I find interesting between "Zenith bundle" and "Prime access", Is that what's the wisp PA You can wear the sydanna, the tenno outfit, the warframe and all the weapons at once.
While with the Zenith bundle, you can only use mag or frost. Which feels like you're missing out. Just kinda feels bad in general.
Might explain why people are willing to pay $30 or $40 bucks for one or the other.

When i did the math Yesterday (in USD). I came to the conclusion that while Prime Acess and Acessories aren't cheap, they offer about 3x the value of what your spending.
The Celestial actually skimps you a bit by not having the bonus plat/aya that would come from $40 of Aya normally, selling it without any bonus.
The Zenith does end up coming in at about a $120 value (when asking for $90), so a 30% gain. Compared to PAs 200% though, it isn't great.
The actual value of the skins and their signas ends up falling to $15 each if you cut out the Aya that you may not want. Despite the low contents vs other 225p deluxe bundles, these at least have their specialty argument to argue the price.
Now only if you could just get each Frames bundle separately for 15 USD...
and you know...no FOMO.
Hell they could remove the 10yr accolade come next year from the packs and leave the skins.

Crazy Frost got a 90 dollar skin but we’ve been begging for a rework for a long time.
That’s because the gameplay team and the art team are separate that’s why some frames look really cool and but In gameplay they are either boring or weak. And the art team all they do is make good stuff that will sell like skins or warframe helmets or capes stuff like that or primes
Either they lower the price around 70$ with an increase of plat and Regal Aya or have added more items on the bundle that is worth the price, like 5 Warframe slots, 10 weapons slots/any slot, unlocking all normal color palettes on the shop, adding an account buff after purchasing the bundle that every shop in the market is heavily discounted for 80% until December including steam cosmetics too and as well as giving a bundle booster for double resource, drop chance and mod chance.
That would be somewhat reasonable if it's the case but that's just my opinion
people who buy it most likely have enough frame slots, on the other hand loadout slots would be more appreciated

Here in brazil the celestial pack (the cheaper pack with skins) is costing 260 reais this is the value of one AAA in launch.
It's been pretty common recently, The old prime vault pack you could get both frames and all their accessories and 1200 plat for $60 US. But the new prime resurgence complete pack cost $80 and only comes with 1200 plat
I would've loved had it been just the skins for $30 or you can actually choose an individual skin for $15 each
I do not care at all for regal aya and I will never play frost in my life -- I just want the mag skin. But I cannot justify $70 for a single skin, no matter how badly I want to support DE

Well this sucks. I wasn't able to tune in the tennocon but when i heard/saw the new skins i was hyped(especially the mag one). But until now, i has no idea how expensive it was.

I saw somewhere that this seems less like DE priced this and more like Tencent did, and I agree with that sentiment. Seeing how DE handles most support packs, having fairly representative amounts of plat, this kind of change seems too drastic for it to be something they decided on themselves.

signa extras are all frames, they are just themed mag/frost. essentially they are prime accessories with prime skins + 6 aya at the $70 price point
I get it that they're a limited time item and once they're gone they will never come back but they dont even have custom animations. I expected DE to give these skins the whole nine yards when setting these prices and being non-purchasable with plat, hell maybe even a custom weapon skin tossed in too.
I think they had the concept of trying to rerelease primes at a higher glory with a different look simmilar to a prime acccess price. Probably geared more towards newer players but they include esoteric stuff that the serious players are going to want. I think had they made the pack include 1700-2700 plat in it that it would be a no brainer for the veteran players who already have all the primes but would use the extra stuff an save the aya in case they hit a hiyatus. I think they didnt want to make it have to much plat an ppl buy that instead of prime access or accessories and it seem like they have a decline but at the same time for the ten year pack we are expecting something that leaves us saying sweet, not a bittersweet taste in our moutg
That pack is the equivalent of buying a Lato Prime but instead a prime set (Excal, Skana and Lato prime) you got skins.

I remember seeing the battle these skins caused in region chat after the tennocon reveal.
Before anyone asks, i think that the skins look great and if you have disposable income, you can get them no problem.
That said, beyond aesthetics, it is poor value for money no matter the tier.
The 'Risen' tier ($31 CAD/ $23 USD) has a minimum plat value of 475 assuming the colour palette cost 75 plat, and doesn't include a single skin.
I could buy 540 plat for roughly 1 CAD extra in total, so even if the decals and sigils cost 20 plat each, just buying plat would be more worthwhile price wise since i can buy Frost Prime for 100 - 300 plat on WF Market and use the remainder to buy his deluxe.
The 'celstial' tier ($72 CAD / 53 USD) gets you the two skins and 6 Regal Aya. Alternatively, $42 CAD or 31 USD gets you 7 Regal Aya, meaning the skins are potentially valued at $15 CAD/ 11 USD each.
This is likely why they are not purchasable individually since most people would just buy the sole heirloom skins.
The highest tier 'Zenith' ($93 CAD / $68 USD gets you the skins, all the decals, 600 plat and 6 Regal aya.
For $86 CAD or 64 USD, you can buy 740 plat + 7 Regal Aya. You could get both prime frames for 300 plat, buy deluxe skins for both, and have plat left over.
I suck at math and calculated this before watching the video, so i'm probably repeating old info and/or made a calculation error, but this pack still feels overpriced.
As a 10 year anniversay themed bundle, the dex offerings make a mockery of this.
I felt real stupid wondering why people were so worried about it, i thought they were talking about the Sevagoth and Yareli deluxe skins so I was just like "then just grind the plat out lmao its not hard you don't have to spend money" I completely missed anything about the heirloom skins but now that I've seen the bundles and how much you aren't getting for what you pay, I completely understand the anger

The skins look absolutely amazing but way too expensive, like you guys already have an amazing community who is willing to support the game in anyway possible and making it 20-30$ would probably double the sells
You answered your own question there mate, $20-30 is less than half of what the price of the bundle is currently, so even if they doubled sales they'd still be making less than the price they were selling at

Frost has been my main frame since his prime was first introduced, I normally am a sucker for expensive dlcs, but even both of those are not enough to look like a good deal to even me

I admittedly have slightly less stake in this than your average tenno as I don't play mag or frost enough for these skins to have been on my radar on the first place, but this does feel super scummy. I've shilled out for prime access before , but it wasn't because of the exclusive cosmetics, it was because I loved the frame, and more importantly, the game. It's quite literally the only time I've ever spent my own money on a F2P game, and perhaps I shouldn't be making broad assumptions based on anecdote, but I can't be the only one who was willing to spend money on Warframe because of the goodwill DE has demonstrated up to this point.
Founder packs were one thing, it's different when you're trying to get your game off the ground. But now? They don't have that excuse, and considering the steps they've taken to mitigate FOMO with prime resurgence and limiting cash-only items to attachments and other secondary cosmetics, this stinks of them seeing what they can get away with in the smokescreen of anniversary hype.
I would love to get the Heirloom Skins and attachments but not at that fucking price.

I feel like they were kind about the price because they want to raise up money for another organization, not only that but they have regal aya which people don’t care about but it is there not only that but you’re getting EXCLUSIVE stuff and two very cool skins it is unavailable for some people who really want it but again it’s a supporter pack
They variability of pricing is so weird, in México they go for about 47 dollars
I would deff grab Mag skin, it looks amazing! But the price... too much :// When I saw it, I thought it's gonna be deluxe skins or something, so was ready for the grind for plat or get a -75% coupon discount and grab it, but when I saw the price... Got very saw that they made it so expensive for just skins. Like if they wanted more money or people to spend more plat just should've made it more expensive than regular deluxe skins idk
If they would take the platinum out of the risen collection and replace it with the skins, it would be a WAY better deal
If you do the math for the value of each item individually and add it together your only losing 13.6$ USD in value from the full thing

Seems like they test how far they can go. Instead of fixing many bugs we get new weapons. Then we get incarnons being purchaseble. Now these ridiculous prices. They will continue, if we as a community, proceed buying into it.

And the other issue is that you don't even get at least base mag and frost with the bundle meaning that if you dont have the warframes or the slots to get the warframes then the entire pack is pointless

So, from Brazil here, the pack has the same price as full AAA game... With expansions/DLC. For reference, it is almost the same price as Armored Core VI. This is NOT priced right.
the heirloom collection 90 should come with 5kP the 80 should also the 50 should also like 5kp ok its like 30 for the heirloom everything plus 5k of Plat which is good for about a year or otherstuff so basically you get mag and frost prime, their skins and 5k of plat or +6 regal aya if you dont wnat to spend it or have frost or mag prime already i bought Armored Core 6 for 70$ i got the deluxe cuz i like the art and music. as well they dcould always add in and give the plt to those already who bought, a
Either they put more platinum or drop the price. I’m willing to do 40 or 45 even though that’s still pricey. But this can’t happen again. We have to stop them now or they’ll do it again.
As someone who has irrationally purchased every frost skin, currently owns 5 frost primes for fashionframing. I'm sad to say i'm likely skipping it solely because I can't buy JUST the frost skin
