The Prosecution does NOT understand gang culture and she doesn’t know how to explain prison gang culture. In prison, all black gang members fall under BMF or BGF if I’m not mistaken. In prison is the only place black gangs unite against the Mexican Mafia, White Aryan Resistance and other cultural gangs. The defense needs to bring gang experts to speak to gang culture in general and prison gang culture and they really need someone from Los Angeles to be their gang expert. No street gang in the US, in free society, is there space for Crips & bloods to pledge allegiance to the SAME gang, I.e. YSL, SMM. Either you are a Crip or Blood on the streets. You can’t be a known Crip, claiming allegiance to another mixed gang, gang! This is pissing me off. Love is an idiot as are the Atlanta PD gang experts.YSL is a crew that became a label. A crew is NOT a gang affiliated with the “National Blood Gang” like it’s a 501c3 doesn’t operate like a business. Gangs have politics and hierarchy but this is asinine. This case is TRASH!
