- Lil Woody pleaded the fifth during his testimony in the Young Thug trial Friday afternoon. When asked how old he was, he said, “I’m grown,” then told a Fulton County prosecutor he’d “plead the fifth.” Lil Woody was arrested and taken into custody. Rapper Young Thug is currently on trial for several RICO charges.

They knew he was going to plead the Fifth this morning and they unnecessarily let him get on the stand and do it in front of the jury smh. This case is a joke. Ms. Love is playing dirty.
There are a handful of defense attorneys that have had cases with Mizz Love, who have done interviews stating that she has called them liars and accused them of tampering with evidence. When it has consistently been Love who has not provided discovery until the middle of trials and has tampered with witnesses. She has been reported to the State Bar on numerous occasions.
Nah, yall need to be fair. Did you see the part where the judge asked the witness if he was going to testify? (It happened before the incident in this video). He said yes, he would testify. Then, right after that, he tells the judge "oh, I think I said the wrong thing" because his lawyer signaled to him. Then, judge tells him to go speak with his counsel.
After that, they asked him again if he wanted to testify, and he said yes, again! Then, as soon as prosecutors start asking him questions, he doesn't want to say his age and then pleads the 5th *in front of the jury.* Then Steele calls for the mistrial.
That was all orchestrated...the prosecution is absolutely right about the defense and witness' attorney conspiring to call for that mistrial. They knew what they were doing.

@@melistasyjust my opinion, but i think he only said yes to testifying because his multiple attempts to tell the judge directly that he would plead the fifth, was met with the judge basically saying “No, you HAVE to talk.” Truthfully i thought he would plead the fifth as soon as they started questioning him. First question, “Did you want to be here today?” Are you kidding me?? 😂😂
He comes in Friday pleading the 5th , taking him in and comes in Monday all the sudden ready to testify. Then we hear how the judge, DA, this witness, and the sheriff met without the defense attorney's knowledge. When the defense calls the judge out on the ex-parte meeting, he gets mad and holds the lawyer in criminal contempt if he doesn't tell him how he found out.

It may not have been their first question to many, however, they’ve asked several of the witness “do you want to be here/testify”. Let's review:
Judge didn't want to hear from any witnesses before making his ruling (which is a direct violation of the Georgia rules).
State broke the law by contacting the witness directly without reaching out to his lawyer.
Claims he never asked for a lawyer, no mention of what the state said to him first. No documentation of the conversation at all.
It's the same state that hauled in an innocent woman in handcuffs because she wouldn't date the state's investigator so they deserve 0 benefit of the doubt.
The stated "picked him up" Judge didn't want to know if there was a Miranda warning or not.
At no time does the judge ask the witness if this is his lawyer or not to clarify the question if there is a doubt, or get any information at all from the best source because the order was already given to lock him up.
The judge thinks state rules on immunity override the 5th amendment. Separate sovereigns means the witness is still open to prosecution by the feds or other states, this immunity is near worthless. He has a right not to speak.
The state planned this for a Friday afternoon, meaning the witness gets locked up over the weekend with no chance to take action of appeal.
The state planned this for when the witness' lawyer would be out of town.
The judge should have called the witness outside the jury and asked if he was going to testify, and that should have been 100% on record.
After the state and judge break all the laws, and all the conduct, somehow it becomes the defense's fault.
Yet amazingly, the worst conduct of all isn't any of that: it's the judge constantly interrupting the defense who have a right to make a record. He even made his ruling without giving the defense a reply. This should be the stuff of text books in law school for unethical conduct and why a judge was disbarred.
Ms Love actually argued that the guy's lawyer keep "coming by" when the state was speaking with the witness.
