Making Cold Weather Spring Splits

We're making spring splits with mated queens. The nightly temps are forecast to be in the mid to upper 30's for the next 4-5 days. So, here is a scenario where a 2 frame split may not work. I increased the number frames with bees to ensure a better chance of success. These splits will need more room in about 2 weeks and be ready to split in 3-4 weeks.

Thank you for watching. What you see is what you get with me lol. I'm too busy to plan or stage anything lol. Yep, Don hooked me up with a bunch of those. Only problem is you really have to paint them good. I've got a few that I only put one cost on, those Shay rotted and collapsed. I think they're 4 years old now. Thanks again
