  • A compilation every College Football team's most iconic play of all time. This video includes one play for all 133 FBS College Football teams. The plays featured include hail mary touchdowns, walk-off touchdowns, and other miracle game winning plays. Watch all 52 minutes to relieve some of the most exciting plays in college football history such as Auburn's Kick Six touchdown against Alabama in 2013 and Boise State's game winning Statue of Liberty play against Oklahoma in 2007. I conducted research before picking the plays, but ultimately the plays were chosen based on my opinion. Some of the teams were pretty challenging to pick a play for, so let me know if there's any that you disagree with in the comments. This was one of the most challenging videos I have ever made and I would really appreciate it if you could drop a like and share the video. Enjoy!

    My mother worked at UL-Monroe in 2012. My family was watching the LSU game and saw on the score ticker that the Warhawks were trying to make a comeback against Arkansas. We watched the most ballsy 4th Quarter of play calling ever and when Browning broke the plane the whole city of Monroe came together. As a fan of the lowly UNLV football team since it was established in 1968, the upbeat moments were few and far between. However, as shown here at the 45:42 mark, this was one of them. Playing on the road against the 'almost' nationally ranked Baylor, who were a two td favorite, UNLV held it's own for the whole game- with just seconds left in the game and Baylor inside UNLV's five yard line, and holding a three point lead, instead of taking a knee and winning the game by the disappointing margin, Baylor tried to salvage a 10 pt win, (polls) and tried to run it in for the td. The rb attempted to leap into the end zone, but lost the ball, which was picked off in the air, and returned for a td- end of game; UNLV 27 Baylor 24. Don't get greedy- take your underplayed win, and count the win, instead of a loss.

And it’s not like the play he chose isn’t going to go down as one of the greatest moments in KU history (at least a lot of us hope so). One could argue Vince Young’s 4th and 18 conversion against KU in 2004 is one of UT’s greatest of all time as well. It propelled them to the Rose Bowl victory against Michigan that year and a national title the year after. It’s most definitely believable to think that had VY not pulled that off against KU, history for the Longhorns goes down much differently.

    • @ComeTakeIt-sh6pf
      @ComeTakeIt-sh6pf 2 роки тому +1

      Looking for an ‘iconic’ positive play, I’d go with the ricocheted pass by RG3. The play selected probably sealed RG3 the Heisman which, with everything else that year, led to the building of McLane Stadium and so it is probably the most important. The goal line stop of OSU is a top play but I do not think it represents much more than a quality (rebuilt) program making a really great play to finish off a great conference season and thus is not as iconic long term. But the ricocheted pass defines the seeming inevitably of how that season would go and thus is more iconic of not only its season in total but also what the program’s future was.
      Our most negative ‘iconic’ play is the one chosen for UNLV. Any long time BU fan still will cringe if UNLV is mentioned in any context.

    The video was an outstanding idea and made even better by telling us in the description where to find the clip from our favorite team! I was a big Louisville fan for many years when I resided in southern Indiana and I was at the game from which their clip is shown! It was on September 26, 2002 and was the ESPN Thursday night game of the week. Louisville was coming off four consecutive minor to mid level bowl games and starting to crack the top 25 once in a while, but still hadn't gotten that breakthrough, program defining win. Furthermore, while we were starting to get road games against marquee opponents, we had a very hard time getting them to visit us. So I was particularly excited about this game when it was scheduled a few years earlier as part of a home and home. We lost 31-0 at FSU in 2000 and entered the game against them in 2002 with a disappointing 2-2 record, but brought out A game that night and pulled off the big upset win in overtime, though that FSU team turned out not to be as good as we expected. They entered the game 4-0 and ranked #4, but ended the season 9-5 and ranked 21. Despite our big win, we finished only 7-6 but have had a lot more good seasons than bad since, and had several periods in which we were frequently ranked, even in the top 10. It rained from start to finish that night, and I never would've even gone to the game, let alone stayed the whole time, had it not been a marquee opponent. It was miserable to watch, but when we won, it was all worth it. It's the only goal post tear down I've ever participated in, and I still have a scar on my left middle finger from a scrape in the huge crowd. I also ended up with a cold and my white T shirt turned red from the sweater I was wearing, but it was all worth it! And making it even more emotional is that it was our first home game since the death of our most prestigious former player, Johnny Unitas. And showing how classy Louisville fans are, at the end of the night, a piece of the goal post was left at the statue of him.
    Thanks again, and I look forward to watching the other clips also!

    If instant replay was around for that Memphis kick return vs Tenn (22:28) the call would've definitely been overturned. The ball-carrier's elbow was down way back at the Memphis 27 yard line.

    Virginia Tech's most iconic play is either the Vick run to get into field goal range against WV to preserve the undefeated season or the punt return by Brian Still in the Sugar Bowl against Texas that basically launched the Beamer era. The play you picked here is the touchdown but the play before it on the catch by Danny Coale was way more iconic to be honest.

      @AlderPeak 10 місяців тому +1

      Agreed. Weird that the TD was the pick for most iconic, when the pass to Danny Coale a minute before is what most VT fans remember about that game. Your Vick and Still plays are in the top 5 and I'd argue the Druck to Holmes TD in '95 against UVA, Vick's flip against JMU, the Vick run against BC and Logan's run against Miami are more iconic.

    As a Tulsa fan I gotta say John Flanders interception in the endzone in final minute to beat Norte Dame in South Bend in 2010 is definitely the greatest play in Tulsa history. Great video though love your work!

    The Johnny Rogers punt return TD vs Oklahoma in the 1971 "Game of the Century" is one of the greater plays in Nebraska football history, but I would actually rank it 3rd, behind "The Flea Kicker" by Shevin Wiggins and Matt Davison in the 1997 Nebraska-Missouri game and "The Run" by Tommie Frazier in the 1996 Fiesta Bowl vs Florida.

      Nebraska has had some great all-time plays. I think the Rogers punt return may have been more significant. But the Tommy Frazier run vs Florida was unforgettable, even if the score was already out of hand by that point.

    I think Miami’s most iconic play was that deflection against Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl that gave Miami their first title

    • @hotrodtodd
      @hotrodtodd Рік тому

      Without a doubt!
      The school wanted to drop football in the late 70s but Coach Schnellenberger promised a title within five years. That 1983 season was the fifth year. Not to mention they upset what was considered the greatest CFB team ever, at the time.
      The Ed Reed play in 2001 is iconic, but Miami was ahead 12-7 when he scored only padding the final margin. And even if they lose at BC that day, they still likely play for a title since Nebraska & Oregon also had one loss each.

    The original audio for Johnny Rodgers' TD is much better. I'd also argue that Tommie Frazier's TD run against Florida with Jim Nantz's commentary is just as great

      He had three plays to choose from for Nebraska with those two and the miracle in mizzou and I don't think he could have gone wrong with any of them. But ya not having Lyell Bremser's call on the clip he used was pretty disappointing. "Man, woman, and child did that put 'em in the aisle! Johnny the jet Rodgers just tore 'em loose from their shoes!" Classic

    I see angles for how Scott's TD and Ringo's Pick Six are both deserving of the spot for Georgia. From the purely in-game perspective, Georgia going from a sure loss to keeping their 1980 championship season alive in one pass play was a thrilling moment. For the other play Georgia was ahead and didn't need a TD to secure the game, but that play was a cathartic moment for multiple generations of Dawgs fans tired of seeing another team and their fanbase reach that summit.

    I think Tommy Frazier’s run against Florida is Nebraska’s most iconic play ever. The man literally broke 10 plus tackles but that Johnny Rogers return is up there. In recent history it’s gotta be the Ron Kellog Hail Mary to Westercamp against Northwestern.
