You found a nice friend there with a nice smile !! I’m sure that helps ! What an inviting clear stream !
They sell some nice back braces at drug store and on line that I use when mine goes out and I have to keep moving. Plus Motrin on a full stomach. I take 800mg and I’m 160 lbs . Done it for 40 years . You’re almost done ! 👍

I found that the backpack works as a good back brace and forces good posture. Luckily had good medication to alleviate some of the pain and inflammation as well.

Good video. Back pain can be crippling. If the back gets better with walking, a pain reliever may help. I used aspirin for many years and it worked but I developed an ulcer and had to stop. Have you tried hanging from a bar? You need to consider taking a break before climbing Mt Katahdin. It would be bad to get stuck up there. Heal fast. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick

I don't think I could climb Mt Katahdin with a bad back. That I'd a serious climb that requires some movements I couldn't do with my back being out.

Man can't imagine walking with such pain. Praying for you that this pain will pass quickly so you can focus on God's beauty. So happy that you have been hiking with Nobo Lobo and he has your six. Your amazing young man that will not be stopped. May Godspeed

Sorry you are in so much pain. I can hear it in your voice. I go through that at times but I don’t think I have it as bad as you. Be safe and very careful. 🦋❤️

Back home, I would have stayed in bed. Crazy what you will put yourself through out here.

Hi. Sorry to hear about your back issues. Prayers for you to be healed and provided what you need to finish.
I'm impressed with all you've accomplished, and feel you will finish regardless.
Looking forward to continuing with you to the end.
    God Bless!

I had read somewhere that almost everyone that finishes the trail has major pains at some point. I am fortunate mine are towards the end of the hike.

@@5millionsteps I am very thankful or what you've accomplished. I started section-hiking the trail (small sections) in Feb. 1992. I am now at Caledonia state Park in PA. At 71 with unexpected health issues arriving, I won't reach that original goal. But, I'm ok with it, and glad you are almost there. Will be cheering for you to ontinue to the end.

Way to go pushing on with a bad back. Good thing you're hiking with Nobo Lobo to help you put. Too bad it doesn't seem warm enough to sit in a cool running stream. That would help your back.
    ✌️🫶🤜🤛🙏

I thought that too. So many posts on far out about lots of leaches kept me out of the streams and ponds.

@5millionsteps eww, I see your point. Would have kept me out, too. Lol
