I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail Northbound in 2024, starting late Feb.
The Appalachian Trail is one of the most recognizable footpaths in the entire world. Covering more than 2,000 miles from Georgia all the way to Maine, the route passes through 14 states, climbing the equivalent of Mt. Everest 16 times and taking approximately 5 million steps to complete.

This has been a fantastic voyage. Thank you for sharing it!
Congratulations! Thanks for taking us along with you on your epic journey. I really enjoyed following you. Best of luck on your next adventure. Mountain Goat.
Thank you!
I don't know of any brand of hiking shoes I've owned that the toe caps didn't start to or peel right off!😊
I didn't have any. I was wearing them a half size to full size larger so my toe cap caught a lot of rocks and roots.
Congratulations!!! Well done!
Thank you!!
So amazing thanks for showing your journey with so many. So happy to see that you had family to celebrate your success. Wish I could have been there as well to say thanks for the videos. Good luck with your next adventure.
It was great to be finished! Family showing up made it very special!
@5millionsteps what day did you summit. My friend Sparrow and her dog Mica finished on Katahdin on 9/11. I was able to join her for the last day. Thought we might have been in the Park when you finished. Was so happy for you. Too bad FG wasn't there to hike the last day with you. Best luck to you in your next endeavors.
We summited Sept 3rd
Congratulations! Thanks for taking us along on your journey! Hiking_with_binerman

Watched quite a few of your videos. Saw your beard get bigger and your belly gets smaller. Glad you made it safely. Now go kiss your wife and tell her how much you appreciate her allowing you to go on the adventure od a lifetime.
Thanks! Will do!
Congratulations.
Thank you!
My feet are sore just looking at the rocks
Mine are still sore. Think they say by Christmas they should feel better.

I’ve really enjoyed following along with you and love how you ended the video…so creative. All the best to you in your off trail life! What adventure is next?
Not sure what adventure is next. I'll probably be busy getting the taco truck up and running for a while, before I get dreaming too big. Lol.
@@5millionsteps I think a taco truck will be an adventure….of sorts! Good luck to you! 🌮
Congratulations!!
Thank you!!
Congratulations Taco!! I followed your entire journey…well done!!
Wow! Thanks for watching!
CONGRATULATIONS ‼️ I’m so happy for you. I I shouted and applauded and then cried (I know im weird 😂). I’ll miss your daily videos of the AT. Thank you again ❣️
It's funny. I watched a guy last year and I was more emotional for him finishing than I was for myself! I think I was just ready to get home.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!From Medicine Man.
Thanks Medicine Man!
Congratz I appreciate your vids my friend!
Glad you like them! Thank you!
@@5millionsteps ❤️🤗❤️🤗
Awwww ❤ loved seeing your family greeting you ! Thank you for showing me the bus . Congratulations! And you gained a life long friend on the trail right ?? What a gift 🎁😍😍😍😍
For sure! Gained a friend indeed! Still can't believe family came out to congratulate me. I wasn't even thinking I would get a cake when I got home.
Hi Taco, this is JAKs, congrats! I knew you could do it. I enjoyed the time spent with you and your son too!
Thanks JAKs! Really enjoyed spending time with you out on the trail as well.
Congratulations 🎊 God Bless 🙏🏻 Appreciate you my friend 🫶🏻
Thank you!
Congrats
Thank you! I was watching for you out on the trail at the beginning.
Huge congrats!! Awesome job!! Such a daunting climb to end a 2200 mile hike.
Agree! Thank you!
Must be a great feeling to have completed this incredible journey , thank you for giving us a taste of the trip 🙏
Thank you! It does feel good completing that odd dream of mine.
WooHoo!!!!!!Congratulations!!!! You did it. So very happy for you. Will miss your videos. Great views. Tell FG hello for me . 🦋❤️
Thank you! Will do!
So very happy for you. You had a dream, and you made it happen. I shall miss your videos.😅
Thank you so much!!
I love the surprise ending!
Haha! Was going to do the Forest Gump ending but that wasn't Kansas enough!
Congratulations on completing your great adventure. You were lucky to have a nice day. You mentioned outfitting a food truck. Be very careful about any new business ventures. I don't know what the economy is going to do after the election. It might take a big tumble. There might be food shortages. Be careful. Good Luck, Rick
As always, thanks for all the good advice! We were very grateful for a clear day. We missed a lot of views in Maine, but that one was a special one to get.
@@5millionsteps Thanks for sharing. Good Luck, Rick
So pumped for you! Great job. I appreciate the effort you put into bringing us along. I will miss seeing you. Keep in touch. Thanks and Peace ❤
Thank you! I kind of miss keeping up on videos. Guess it's about time to do gear reviews.
Congratulations 🎉
Thank you!
Congratulations! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey. You are a classy guy and you proved that down to earth grit and determination get you everywhere. Thanks for sharing your 5millionsteps! Best of luck to you always !
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the journey! I will be excited to watch someone from next year's class and cheer them on.
Wonderful day, wonderful achievement! Beautiful pictures! So exciting to see your enthusiasm! Congratulations!
Thank you! I really tried to enjoy that last week. The week before got really tough for me.
Well done - on a “Taco Tuesday”! Your excitement and happiness are so infectious that I can feel it coming from your heart ❤️! Congratulations on this tremendous accomplishment! Keep on charging and shining!
Thank you for all your kind comments and following along! Really appreciated them along the way!
I've enjoyed following your journey and cheering you on. This was my first year even knowing that I could follow AT Hikers. I would have never thought I'd stick with watching videos every day for 5-6 months of at least 6 thru Hikers. I wanted to make sure everyone I watched had encouragement and support, even if I just commented through a video. I wish I could have helped out more with care packages or something. Every hiker hiked the trail differently and vlogged differently. It's been very interesting and informative. You're the 3rd one now to get this far that I've watched the entire adventure. Captain Jack was the 1st, and I think you met him on his yoyo. Now he's moving back north on the LT. Master Splinter and Leo were next and now you. Ben on trail, is right behind you by 100 miles. Stick the Eagle, just finished the Mahoosuc section, and Rebound is flipping up to Katahdin and going back south to Gorham, I think, after running into the mud bogs. And then theres a few that ran out of storage on their phones, and I dont know where they're at. It's been fun, and the time went quickly. Im excited to see your summit video. Bring on Katahdin. You can do it!🎉 ✌️🫶🤜🤛🎉
Thanks for your support along the way. Not sure if I could watch every day, but I'm good at binge watching after missing a week or so.
@@5millionsteps I have skipped videos a few times. But it takes twice as long getting caught up with 6 or so videos of hikers I was following. Lol
What a beautiful day, with gorgeous view of Katahdin, and your smile says so much! You should be proud of yourself. I’ve watched you all the way from Springer and have enjoyed hiking vicariously along with you through your adventure . I’m so excited to see you summit! Hoping for blue skies and great views…
Thank you for following along! We got those great views!
❤🎉 I’m so excited for the summit video! Congratulations ❣️‼️ Thank you for sharing your AT adventure. I’ve been watch you from almost the beginning and I really appreciate because I’ve had to take off from hiking this past few months for ankle replacement. Thank YOU❣️
Get well soon! Hope you are able to get back out when you are all healed up.
Look at that smile ! You look deservedly happy 👍
Have been following your incredible journey from france , 🇫🇷 I didn’t realise until today that only one in four people actually finish the AT , And seeing just how difficult this journey is I’m not surprised , Bonne chance in your future endeavours ,,
Thank you! I hope that number went up this year. The weather was actually pretty decent for that part of the country this year, so maybe that didn't chase as many hikers off.
Congratulations 👏👏👏💪💪praying that you will have the same great weather to summit! Thank you for all the videos. We will miss your smiling face! Glad your back pain has subsided
Going to miss these daily videos! Sad to see it end. WTG Taco.
Thank you H3!
A freelance writer from Maine is hiking southbound with his son. His updates from the trail are published in the Washington Post newspaper. His description of Maine section of AT was exactly as you described it!
Wow ! Good to know . AT is officially main stream I guess now ?
I'll have to find his articles.
Let the celebration begin! What an epic adventure you have taken. Your future grandchildren will love to hear and watch these videos! I appreciate how truthful and mindful you have been in making your videos. What you have accomplished is no easy feat. Be proud of yourself and enjoy that last climb to the finish line.
Thank you! It was an epic adventure! So much excitement at the beginning, still having fun in the middle, and fun but a lot of work at the end.
Congratulations on getting to the park. Have a safe climb and return. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
So close, doing great.
