Wow, Alex, the headmaster had your pants down and his cane out half way through that one! Luckily, you managed to get some payback near the end. The real winners are the owners of the house with no roof in the centre of the board, as their greenhouse is undamaged. They will have some lovely tomatoes to enjoy in their new open plan abode!!
Yep, lots of pressure, but I held on as long as I could!
Exciting game! The Brits showing their stiff upper lip. That's an impressive village. I think that matchup is worth a re-fight.
Thanks, it was a good one to play. Maybe a British Attack on German positions in August of 1918?
That did not go the way I expected it to! Dean isn't shy about hand to hand - LOL!
No he isn't. I repeatedly explain to him it's better to go in when they are pinned, but he never listens...
@@StormofSteelWargaming LOL You can only try, Alex. 😛I wonder if the Way of Dean is sustainable throughout a campaign...
Love the dense urban buildings - definitely not the stereotypical WWI battlefield. Like you’ve said, the right rules and opponent are fun, win or lose.
Cheers, glad you enjoyed it!
So, certainly a true to history game.... The Stosstruppen pushed on through, but with heavy casualties, so they'd end up stymied somewherr down the road.
Absolutely, tactical success didn't match the strategic goals.
Great looking village, good game too.
Thank you!
Great game! Really close at the end and good fun!
Cheers, yeah it was a cracker!
Brits got rolled big time. Very Aggressive Stormtruppen, Well done Dean! Great looking table Alex, the town really pops. Many Thanks Gents👍
*stosstruppen, cheers! It was a great game!
@5:41 Tiny trying her best to defeat the Kaiser's enemies by any means 🤣
That was definitely a Nail-biter!
Squeaky bum time!
Stunning looking table Alex!
Cheers John!
Gorgeous table!
Thank you!
Great game with an even cooler setup🤩 but where do you get the army lists from? Are these from the TTMATB rulebook?
Cheers glad you enjoyed it. The army lists are available in the Lardy Christmas 2014 special and the Play the Game pdf.
Lovely Stuff. Nice to see some WWI gaming. Quick question; you maned your cat "Tiny"? Are you by some chance a fan of the Sven Hassel Novels? Or is it just because he's mahoosive?
Then you'll be in a for a treat with the rest of the content on the channel... There's loads of WW1 gaming. Tiny is called Tiny because we had three cats, one was fat and called Fatty, one was smaller than Fatty so was called Little 'Un, then we got Tiny and because she's tiny, we call her Tiny.
@@StormofSteelWargaming That's so sweet. Well, she's not looking tiny now. Or is that just the camera angle!?
@FelixstoweFoamForge it's the angle, she really is tiny.
Looks like fun. Coincidentally I’m working on my Masters Dissertation on the 9th Scottish Division during 1917-18 so this feels relevant.
How does the Chain of Command WW1 rules supplement compare to Through the Mud and Blood?
It was fun, thanks. That sounds interesting. I have a full review video that goes through the CoC version, you'll find it on the channel.
