yo. artists are inspiring, but ppl like you, archivists, historians, story tellers, are equally important. You and some other channels always keep me positive and make me realize I have a 20, 30+ year journey to becoming the artist (aka, just the human) I wanna be. Seeing the chronology of these legends keep me grounded and trust my process. You rock
Are we going to forget he produced one of Kendrick’s best songs on Damn in Fear, made the most uncomfortable song on Mr Morale in We Cry Together and then made Meet the Grahams! Kendrick and Alchemist go crazy and I know he will be on Kendrick’s new album for sure
Loved his production on alfredo and since then ive been a fan of his. I especially love israeli salad and his production on emb with roc marciano I also saw him live in cologne last year and the show was amazing
GREAT video. micro-critique is the fact u didnt include masterpiece theatre when u were talking ab albert einstein and the DRDC album.... masterpiece theatre MIGHT be one of the most underrated albums al's discog. nobody talks ab that project at this point maybe ill make a vid on it 😂😭 thanks for making this. it really makes me happy to see this documented bc living thru that era as a 17-27 year old really was a treat and it went by so fast.... no idols started it all for me
@DefGoldbloom, you the goat for this video. Spot on with the history! Durag Dynasty, Lord Steppington and Israeli Salad (my favorite LP) showcases the best production run in hip hop I have ever heard. Keep underground alive!!!
This was amazing ALC is one of the best producers ever and lays down a beat that makes MCs flourish every single time. Boldly James and ALC…chefs kiss💯
Great job bro! Could you maybe include all the mentioned albums in the description as well? For someone who wants to listen to them, that would be really helpful!
There’s a few projects I left out. Still fire, but with a catalog this deep I had to make some tough choices. If I named every single thing he did I would’ve spent the whole time just listing projects like a Wikipedia page lol
i really hope we get a Fetti 2, that project is one of my favorites to this day. thank good you dint talk about the Yacht Rock project, that was horrible.
Good little doc, you could do a lot for yourself by sounding more confident and fresh, though. It sounds a little too recorded in the boy's room type style.

Al’s work with Mobb Deep made his name in hip hop
You did a great job of touching all the bases in 18 minutes. My favorite Alc project is still that Domo "No Idols" Love that sound
Elimination chamber went wild
