That was fun to watch, and pretty educational too. A few months ago, I saw the PBS doc on the history of disco and it ended talking about how House music was born from the remnants of Disco and they talked about the Paradise Garage and such. I feel like this doc picks right up where they left off. That was awesome. Really enjoyed it and wish King Street the best luck with their new deal with Armada.
¡Increíble historia de la música house! 🎶👑🎧 'House Music Royalty: La historia de King Street Sounds' es un viaje épico. ¡Un documental imprescindible para los que amamos la música!
Shout to Kai Alce for hipping me to this documentary. I picked up the Mix The Vibe Kerri Kaoz 6:23 Chandler CD in a small shop in Germany in 1997…After that, I was trying to pick up everything I could on the King Street label. God Bless you for the Music and this documentary. ONE!
Fantastic documentary, of course im sure most people wouldve wished for it to be longer and include more things as well but its get the job done and points across.
Which King Street classic holds a special place in your heart? Big ❤ to our friends and family at Armada & King Street for trusting us with this project #HouseMusicRoyaltyAllNightLong
It's mind boggling and downright disappointing that a documentary about King Street is done with NO mention of or words from Tony Humphries. No mention of his Mix The Vibe compilation, no mention of how many King Street songs he broke in and played on his legendary KISS-FM Mastermix shows.
Thank you for the feedback, there were just too many releases to tell the entire story of everything but we hope it still inspired you and others to dig deeper
@@beatportWith all due respect, that is a bullshit excuse. Not only has Tony been DJing longer than most of the people interviewed, he was playing King Street Records before most of them. One of the most prolific DJs of house music in history and he doesn’t get mentioned, it’s inexcusable. See it’s time that y’all get called out on bullshit especially when you attempt to excuse it.
I am glad to have experienced this incredible time.
Kingstreet, Large, Soulfuric, Nakedmusic, MAW, OMrecords... For the love of House music ❤❤🎉
That House Gospel Choir zoom made me burst into tears... That was a moment I very much wish I could have been a part of.. a moment of pure joy. 🙏👌
Feel the exact same
Many great memories with some incredible artists. We hope you all enjoy the film! 🗽

Great job, a beautiful and insightful documentary with great sound and editing..
There's too many. Choosing is losing
Ultra Naté looks awesome 😊 Blaze / Barbara - Most Precious Love, a mainstream hit in Europe, would nowadays be impossible in corrupt music industry.
Great stuff ❤
Music for the soul great tunes
Soulful. House. Period.
Great documentary.
Yesss! Amazing 🪭🪭🔥
Wonderful track & awesome melodies whole amazing production 💯🔈🔥🎶💙🌈💥

cool!!!
It's hard to believe that such a poetic and wonderful community has become such an ugly business.
Alot of the club footage around the 2 minute mark which is implied is new york is actually from dance 89, an illegal rave near Ipswitch uk :)
