Personaly I think the Geneon Dub is the best way to watch Mystery of Mamo in English

My favorite has always been the Streamline Dub, because that's what I grew up with. Having the Blu Ray is awesome, because you get them all!

      @@SomeOrangeCat i like streamline zenigata's voice
it sounds so natural to me

the streamline version fits the best in my opinion. the recent VAs just make it too wacky which clashes with their facial features when they're not screaming

So is there a comparison on Jigen talking about his hat in this movie?

@@MegaMug I think it was at the beginning of the film where Lupin and Jigen are in Egypt finding the Philosopher's Stone when Zenigata catches them in the act before they escaped via a motorcycle.

If you want to torrent it you can find it. Legally though I believe Discotek still has the blu-ray or DVD of it available, if you're from the US that is.

Bob Bergen and Tony Oliver are the best Lupins, Tom Clark was okay, but William Dufries did AWFUL, but he got WAY better in Bye Bye Lady Liberty, also
David Povall and Dan Lorge were also great for Zenigata, Greg Starr was also good, but not my favorite, Sean Barret was a great Zenigata in Bye Bye Lady Liberty, but not here.

So why was Frontier allowed to call him Lupin but Wolf was used for Manga? Just gave the LeBlanc estate more money?

    • @MegaMug

Frontier's dub originally was only available to watch on Japan Airlines flights.

1996 at that time is when USA lost the rights to use the name of “Lupin”.

The Manga dub is like a UK export of the film. The UK has different copyright laws, so while the US could start using the Lupin name (hence why Streamline uses it), the UK had to wait a few more years.

It's probably because the Frontier dub was made in Japan, where the Leblanc copyright wasn't enforced.
