I am from baltistan...the suuni shia picture and GB not accepting to align with Kashmiris is correct.. Infact there is a deep sunni shia division that goes back to zia era when suunis had backing of zia regime during conflict.

Sir , I think that Kargil should be separated from Ladakh and can be made as UT of Gilgit -Baltistan because people of POGB also want a separate GB within Indian Union and majority people of Kargil are Balti and Shia .

At present Ladakh is going through so many crisis including unemployment ladakhis has highest unemployment rate in India right now.... Present government has failed to provide employment in to the educated youth Ladakh.

Basically it was all MUSLIMS (Pakistani, Kashmiri, baltic, Gilgitians, Hunzis almost all above Jammu) compared to HINDU DOGRAS AND SIKHS and they resisted to be a part of an Hindu kingdom. Rest are details. The Britisher CAPT BROWN was ultimately under the command of the viceroy LORD Mountbatten so how could he start an insurgency against his own child?
