The Boys is set in a universe in which superpowered people are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by a powerful corporation, Vought International, which ensures that they are aggressively marketed and monetized. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt.
The Boys infiltrate Victoria Neuman's campaign event as a sabotage mission. The mission goes awry when Homelander and Ryan arrive. Ryan learns Billy has only six months to live. Victoria's daughter Zoe attacks forcing the group to leave. Homelander recruits Sister Sage as a new member of The Seven. Homelander orders the murders of three supporters while Sage begins a riot, in a plan to blame Starlight supporters.
The series primarily focuses on two groups: the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control, and the Seven, Vought International's premier superhero team. The Boys are led by Billy Butcher, who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander.

@CreativelyAnxious if they show up in season 5 then season 2 of gen v will be a prequel to s5 since 5months have passed I'm guessing the Andre character will have died in that time since its the only way they can explain the actor not being in the universe anymore since the actor himself passed away
@@icrywhenisleep2130they actually wrote themselves an out for his character in the 1st season with his dad’s brain tumor being linked to using his power. Andre leaving school to take care of his dad and no longer using his power would be believable.
They won’t appear until after season 2 of Gen V. Last we seen they were all in that room together. And season 2 of Gen V will likely start in that room

My head cannon for why the virus wouldn’t work on Homelander is because he just has extremely tough skin. It’s verbatim stated in the show that they’ve thrown every weapon on earth at Homelander, probably even Nukes. He was created to be the perfect superhero, so nothing on earth can probably touch harm him except Ryan

And if they had tried nukes there would have been this shit called nuclear fallout, not to mention the massive explosion. Damn some people think with their assholes

Hughies powers was teleportation and he was able to hold down homelander, homelander has to be the weakest superhuman across all the different superhero/supervillain universes, green arrow could probably weaken homelander 😂
I loved that the Shaoeshifer worked exactly like the ones in Supernatural from the skin tearing off to the eyes, it was awesome

The shapeshifter is the grossest superpower i have seen so far it going to interesting to see how starlight get herself out of this mess.

I have a feeling homelander kills Ryan for wanting to be a hero and siding with butcher, and my other prediction is homelander kills a-train infront of Ryan as a warning of not to betray him.

I think the one he cant beat is himself because he is is own worst enemy.
One prediction I heard, which I never thought of and would have been really really cool and well just interesting, was from the channel Heavy Spoilers. I think one of his fans suggested it and he mentioned it briefly. I watched his breakdown of this episode while waiting for yours lol.
The idea is this: What if Hughie’s mom was the assassin/shapeshifter?
Now, I agree with this until I remember the second to last scene with Hughie and Annie, and that kind somewhat puts this down as a probably not going to be the case. But Heavy Spoilers did say mention that we haven’t seen the mom that much recently and how she’s not super close with Hughie and how she works for Vought. Also how the shapeshifter has only morphed into women, which I mean Hughies mom is, that we know of. And yes the argument against that part would be, how we see Sage and what we presume is the shapeshifter through A trains eyes in the beginning spying on them.
It’d be a cool idea and something I wouldn’t put past The Boys of doing, that is the mom/son thing that happened at the end, which would make it even more of a horrible thing to happen to Hughie. Losing his dad, finally reconnecting with his mom, albeit not like hanging out all the time, but somewhat reconnecting. For it to then turn out that the mom was a double agent.
Idk it’s an interesting thought that I truly want to see if that could or is the case.
Maybe the supe is a man but he gets the ability to shapeshift into women and only women cus he feels like he is a women underneath his skin.
Really excited for the finale so many stakes raised to an extreme.
I laughed when M tolled Butcher on his offer of knighting him...
I think Homelander sent Noir and Deep first because the last time he just showed up he ran into a powered Butcher and Hughey and Soldier Boy and almost got deleted so I think he is a little hesitant to do it himself.
I already know the cliffhanger of episode eight is gonna hurt me like oh my God, what happens next?!?!?
I’m glad Frenchie and Komiko got to reconcile a bit this episode. I feel like a lot happened to move the plot along for the season finale and I enjoyed it. It’s gearing up for season 5 really well now.
Love A Train’s arc this season and loved seeing him and Deep go at it. I have zero complaints about this episode (except the octopus dying so fast) excited for the next episode!
one bit that's a little undercooked is a-train and ashley's sympatico bits. feels like they could've become more connected or something.

I definitely think that notebook is a trap. I also think based off of her Black Panther grandma, she ultimately will go against Homelander but in her way.
Man i swear the stakes don’t feel even nearly as high as the show makes it seem, with the newer seasons
there are a couple moments here and then where i worry for characters, but overall so many of them feel invincible no matter the threat
Kimiko too has an insane healing factor i knew she would be fine even with the virus spreading

Sage was saying he’ll never be able to defeat himself. He’ll never be able to erase or overcome the humanity inside him like he wants to. She wasn’t talking about a literal physical defeat.

@@BobaTalks it would be even more tragic if ryan himself ducked between them to try and intervene and ends up getting jabbed. there are some very sad possibilities here if the aim is to have ryan die.
If the injection hits a veins the spread can be fast but still not automatic if it lands in tissue like muscles and fat the spread will be considerably slower.
I’m also wondering how they know the virus won’t effect Homelander .. it wouldn’t atleast make him sick & weak??? like how do they know forsure
What will happen in episode 8
1. Hughie will propose to shapeshifter
2. Neuman will be killed by butchers powers (terrible cgi)
3. Malory dies killed by ryan after they capture him
4. Homelander tells the seven to kill EVERY human in the tower, they lock all the doors and bloodbath begins
5. Ashley tries to save herself and takes the v that she stole from homelander, the noir comes to her room to kill her but compound v has bad effect on her, her skin falls apart and this is the most gory scene in the series,
6. Homelander Releases all the locked up supes from cia facility
7.ryan kills nurse in the vought tower and is happy about it wants to kill and homelander is terrified
8. We see soldier boy being "killed" by homelander, he gets his life supplies turned off by him
9. We see fights as, kimiko vs sam, Frenchie vs cate, starlight and hughie vs cindy and butcher vs neuman,
10. Assasination on singer wont work because when hughie and shapeshifter sit in the bunker, hughie notices that statlight is not "real"
11. Assasination may not be happening but still supes ABSOLUTELY take after the whole city if not country and they are telling people to kill all the starlighters
12. All of the boys have to leave the country
13. Butcher is terrified of his powers and drives away because he killed neuman infront of hughie and her daughter and zoe reminds him of ryan killing his own mother

If ryan dies not only is it homelanders tether to humanity but its is also butchers. Butcher wouldn't be sad ryan died he'd be gone.
Season ends with ryan dead and homelander in office.
Next season kessler(tumour) and butcher do a hand clamp like that in predator between arnie an creed and as the season progresses he turns into a big bulging tentacle mess, a powerful mess.
This leads them both to a fight for death with ultimately both dying and some other team members too.
Another prediction from Heavy Spoilers was how Sage could potentially save Butcher by curing his cancer/disease.
We did hear about her backstory in how she had the cure to her mom’s (?, or was it grandmother) cancer and how it got turned down. And now that she’s been kicked out or removed by homelander, that could potentially be the case.
Other than the obvious reason of not killing her off, would I guess isn’t that obvious, would be to come back and either fight against homelander, or for homelander to then realize he F-ed up and brings her back into the fold.
Idk seems like an interesting idea to do.
And I’m right there with you Boba, I did not see that ending coming with Annie and Hughie. This show has me so locked in that every twist and turn has me shocked every time it happens, even if they are obvious, i.e. Morgan’s character being a figment of Butchers mind or past, and not actually being there in person for the rest of the team to see. I genuinely did think of that or see that one coming.
Love the channel and I love the breakdowns man, keep it up. Entertaining to watch.
I honestly think A-train is safe until the end of season 5.
I think it’s gonna be a final battle type deal with an army of supes vs the boys feat allies.
I think the shooter Homelander was referring to was actually MM. The shooter of Sage. I think MM might be finished. Edit: Maybe he doesn’t die but is framed for Killing Dakota Bob by that shapeshifter.

If Homelander didn’t kill Sage in that scene, then it was staged to trick firecracker. Or else this show is so contrived that she’s just going to the boys now
My guess is that Sage has been playing the Game of Thrones for herself and manipulating Homelander and everyone else since he came to recruit her I think she plans on using Homelander to wipe away the current world order and status quo then using The Boys to get rid of Homelander and his soldier supes so she can make a New World order with herself in charge.
