@@djphilpot9038 The point is that this is not the day to be criticizing MLS. Look at where Canada was prior to its MLS teams and its academies, and where it is now. That is a team built with MLS players and players who came through it. Its players actually have lived in Canada. Even Stephen Eustáquio lived there until he was 7. The US team has nothing to do with MLS. Half its team didn't grow up in the US. Another portion of the pool never played in MLS. Why on earth would anyone wanting to have an honest conversation about the game or the trend of the US team talk about MLS? It is either ignorant or disingenuous, but either way deserves to be mocked.

@@kem1233 It isn't a golden generation for Canada. It is the first one who was given a real shot. Before this generation, Canada failed to get to the Hex from the 2002 cycle through the 2018 one. They failed to get a win at either the 2013 or 2015 Gold Cups, and failed to score from open play from the 2011-15 Gold Cups. Toronto came on in 2007, Vancouver in 2011, and Montreal in 2012. This is the first Canadian generation to come through those academies. Whether they came through an academy or not, this generation became pros at a time where MLS teams were both stable enough to develop players and had enough teams to be pursuing them. The results are clear. It is something for those players to be proud of as well as MLS.
