I just moved in in a new apartment and had these cam locks ,I was gonna go nuts and use different method to screw the planks. You saved my night man ,great video.❤
You saved my life with this video, I was about to give up on my new desk, I was about to ask help from my bf, but with this video I could finished everything by myself
This helped me disassemble my neighbor's bookshelf, she couldn’t disassemble it herself, because she didn’t know how these “camlocks” worked and neither did I, but thanks to you, now I know, and now the bookshelf is disassembled, thank you for the video!
This is the first video recommended after I searched the brand of the screw/nut (whatever it’s really called) I was able to put together my GF’s table. Thank you so much, sir!
Thank you so, so much!! Was really having trouble trying to put desk up, I'd put the camlocks in first and couldn't figure out why they weren't locking!! You saved me returning the desk....now my daughter has a desk!! 🙂
Great video, I have to assemble some cabinets I watched some videos on UA-cam but couldn’t wrap my head around what was happening now it’s simple after watching this. Thanks man.
Are you supposed to turn the nut 180 degrees? That's what my IKEA manual said, but it took a good bit of strength to tighten it the whole 180 degrees, so I want to make sure I didn't budge the lock or something.
typically you turn it clockwise and should lock at 180 degrees. BUT there are camlocks where the pointy tip is at the opposite side -- in this case, you have to turn it 180 degrees BUT counter-clockwise. sometimes, it is hard to turn because you haven't pushed in the screw deep enough and the screwhead is catching/snagging on the camlock tip.
thank you so much for showing me how to use this LOL . I had sat here for a half hour trying to figure it out LOL. Great job ! Thanks you earned a new Sub too.
mate God bless you so much. I literally prayed to find a video that can help me - and look what God can do in minutes! the internet- this video is a life saver. Building my second every desk for the first time. God bless you so much! p.s. child of God
Thank you. We were recently doing this, and the camlock kept releasing the outer frame panel. We couldn't figure out how to remove the camlock to analyze the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated appreciated. ❤
Thank you for the excellent video 😊 The Lord’s love + grace be with you Hope you are all well and resting in Jesus saving love + grace 😊 Blessings friends 😊

thank you very much! i had to assemble a table i bought from shopee and was starting to regret it because of how difficult it was lol
Hello, thank you for the explanation, but why is mine loose after installing it? Even though it has been turned tight

my kit came with pre finished nuts. Are these necessary? the bolts are threaded. the pre inserted nut just seems redundant
Possibly the most useful video I’ve seen
Cam locks are awful
I disagree cam locks are best thing since sliced bread.
Only when you don't understand how to use it. It's pretty awesome.
@@weltschmertzzthey are good for one time assembly. If you want to disassemble and reassemble again then they aren't as tight. They suck
What would you use instead for temporary assembly?
How do we UNDO it??? My ikea one is stuck and i have to undo it but it doesnt seem to work!!!
Superbly & precisely explained!! 👏🏻
Thanks a lot 😊
Thanks for this clear explanation. I was trying to put a flat pack trolley together, took one look at the fitting and thought what do I do with this?
Glad I could help
@@HanDIYman007 do you have a video on these hinges? The flat pack assembly pictures are too small for me to work it out.
@@SargenSmee closest thing I have is this : ua-cam.com/video/z9iBxZ-10Gk/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot .... I just started to break the screw to disassemble my table 😂
Why are the fasteners not going flesh and turning properly?
Tease out an embedded lock catch with a bobby pin & screwdriver
Thank you. This was very helpful!
