Kayak Fishing In St. Joe Bay ( Catching Redfish and Speckled Trout )

Felt so good to be back in the Hobie in hopes of catching some nice reds and trout. It's been a busy year so our trips have been limited but regardless I was a able to get some awesome footage of our time in Florida and get on some nice fish. Hope everyone enjoys! Thanks for sharing the video. I'm camping at Indian Pass in a few weeks, I know you're fishing in St. Joseph Bay, can I ask where you launched from? I mostly bass fish from my yak but have enjoyed a few trips to Pensacola so looking forward to fishing here. Yet to catch a red fish over about 14" so hoping to change that.

That redfish catch was great. Got a 23 inch redfish there about a month ago.

I’m leaving Friday to take my kayak down to port st Joe rv resort. What do you recommend throwing for reds. And this time of the year is it better for evenings or mornings

I usually use suspended twitch baits. Pink or light green is usually my go to color. It's possible for them to be hitting both but evenings is usually the time I catch the most
