I knew a guy from the Vietnam era with a similar path. 3 tours in Vietnam in the Marines. They told him he couldn’t go back again so he got out, went to Rhodesia and served as a mercenary; barely got out alive during a huge offensive. Flies back to the states and immediately joins the Army and serves 2 more tours in Vietnam. Retired when he got his 20 and became a cop. Retired from LE after 20. His name was Ronald Melgaard. We called him “Muffin”.
@@brandonshuler7820 He was a walking contradiction. Giant of a man with a voice like Mickey Mouse. Ronnie Lee Melgaard. You can see a picture of him on his obit page if you google SFC Ronnie Lee Melgaard.
I live here in Lexington. Have met this guy. Awesome dude. Was a furniture delivery and John bought so much from our store we had to close down for a week. Went to John’s house. Dude would tip out the wazoo Actually was nice and so was this guy here. Crazy experience!!
Hi brothers from the USA - I watched this start to finish last night and it felt like a 30 minute chat - incredibly interesting - interviewed brilliantly - watching Mr Ritlands eyebrows rise and then have a chuckle for me says a lot. Best of wishes to the warrior Jimmy. Thanks.
Been down with jimmy for years now. Touch Point!! Dude has a few stories to tell. Had to piece them together but now a 4 hr. Podcast!! I’m so excited!!!
@ObamaFromKenya I'm don't remember but my uncle knows. I'll ask him and get back with you. I know he told me but he was on several ships during the war and I can't remember which ones
One of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. Had a long drive today and listened to the whole episode non stop. Amazing story from Jimmy Watson and an amazing interview from you Mike Ritland. Keep it up!
I never comment & don’t ever say this, but This is by far the Best, craziest, most incredible story ever.Surpasses any other podcast episode ever.Joe Rogan needs to get this guy on
I’ve said it before, but I’ve got to say it again. Mike, you are the best interviewer out there, bar none! You ask all the questions we all want to hear!
Really interesting so far. About half way through and just finishing up the belt sanding incident. When they are talking about the cheek graft and Mike quips something about blowing yourself…nearly spit out my coffee! 😂😂😂
I'm one who hates the 2 part episodes and an episode like this, is exactly why. This as a 2 part video, would've ruined the flow of the story. This was a fantastic 4 hours, very well spent! Thanks for not breaking it up.
JIMMY BOURNE!! this guy is amazing and to be honest this is the absolute best podcast i have ever heard. Automatically followed you and going now to follow Jimmy aswell. You guys are truly amazing and i am proud of you buddy ✌️
I’ve heard Jimmy tell his story once before…. But not like this: One of the most powerful interviews I’ve seen in a long time. God Bless the journey Jimmy walked and the strength to share his testimony to God. Mike: Well done getting these messages out to the people who need to hear them. God Bless you too!
Heck of a story. He mentioned something to the effect of he couldn't swim once he got to BUDS. I wonder did he make it through one time. Much respect. Continued success Mike.
This guy is from right up the road from me. This part of the world isn't pretty but some tough SOB's come from around here. This area was the last holdout for the Indians before they succumbed in Palo Duro Canyon. Also, lots of Wild West outlaws ended up in this area. People here are basically assholes for no good reason. I wouldn't be surprised to find out Jimmy Watson was descended from some outlaw from that era. This shit was right up my alley.
I am from Northern Arizona. My Grandpa worked on the Cowboy Crew out there. He's got some crazy stories about working on the wagon in that canyon. He worked at a lot of different Outfits & he said his favorite was that one & working at the R O out here in Arizona. Because where he learned the most on how to be a Cowboy
Great listen, what a story . Jimmy keep fighting the good fight day by day, god bless . Mike great interview as always and god bless . Thank u both for service. WARRIORS!!
What a great podcast! Great stories and awesome encounter with God. Two guys talking about how life can humble you sometimes. Worth watching it. @Mikedrop , this one will be hard to top! Thanks to both of you guys for your service ! 🇺🇸🙏
Great story awesome show. Thank you both. I also wish I would've hugged and told my brother how much I love him and am proud of him. He was older and he's always with me waiting for us in heaven. Be safe take care. Love and care for each other. Let your loved ones know how much you love them everyday. Never go to bed angry.
I'm sure the core of Jimmy's following are men but I find his story so inspiring. I pray that God continues to use him in big ways and blesses his new little family I just read about. Great podcast.
Re McAfee sounds like he thrived on chaos around himself. As for his death, no wonder the case against Jimmy was closed, as someone did not want any information to come out.
This was probably the best interview I've seen of this type on any podcast. Jimmy's level of experience makes Stumph look like like a complete noob in comparison..
I watched jimmy on TT before I deleted the app. What a live wire and great spirit. He may not realize it, but he helped many men with their mental health.
1 of the best 4hrs 1 minute and 3 seconds I've spent on a podcast.
The last 3 seconds was absolutely incredible
Maybe in your whole life😂😂😂
word
Right?!!! Heavy stuff. Great interview and warrior!
Finally man. Been pushing his name to all the big channels. Awesome interview Mike. Touchpoint!!!

He's coming to Cleared Hot, where Jimmy and Andy discuss their drama!
Can you elaborate more

I'm sure someone has something to say about Mike Ritland. I guarantee it has nothing to do with not having balls.

I’ve said it before, but I’ve got to say it again. Mike, you are the best interviewer out there, bar none! You ask all the questions we all want to hear!

Let’s gooooo! So excited for this one!! Perfect for a Sunday evening.
after hearing the belt sander story, I will never again think I have bad luck. That would be so brutal.
