IH-10 south/westbound backed up in Beaumont after roadway damage triggers closure

  • Traffic moves slowly along Interstate 10 south/west bound through Beaumont Monday morning after large crack in the roadway triggered the shutdown of the interstate.

    Westbound lanes of Interstate 10 are now being diverted to the frontage road at Washington Blvd.
    A "significant crack in the roadway" triggered the closure Monday morning, according to a news release from Beaumont Police.
    Drivers are being moved along the frontage road and are being routed back onto the interstate at Walden Rd, according to police.
