the worst thing about dawns death is that it was a real torture method in the medieval times. The people always started from the groin bc it hurt more, and they would go slowly so the person was forced to endure it before they died.

Wait, the first movie actually played in theaters? I only got to see Terrifier 2 last year.
@@freddyvoorhees4293 it played in some fright festivals and on an online horror centered website that people displayed in little theaters in towns for the first one! I was lucky (or maybe unlucky) to go see it 😭 it’s actually returning to theaters in July I think in about 700 or so theaters too

nah there are worse movies, with this movie you can at least still appreciate the effects & acting performance of the actor that plays the clown. While some other movies are just straight up vile for nothing but shock value.
not to say that terrifier isn’t shock value but that is not it’s main thing like i can see ppl genuinely tried to make art with this although the most extreme scenes always seem to involve women getting brutalized in both movies which is kinda weird ig.
@@justmarlen I mean, the centerpiece gore scenes of both movies involve women, but men are brutalized in both films as well. I certainly don't think it's any more questionable in that respect than other grindhouse movies. Plus, 2 has my favorite final girl in ages.

It doesn’t get easier but I wouldn’t regret a thing cause he was the best dog I could have asked for. Thankfully I still have my cat who is refusing to leave my side to help me through it. ❤️
@@ChelseaCrystina same same same. After soo many years with the same similarly-aged trio of pups, their silver years kind of crept up without me really preparing myself for the inevitable. There was a reeally dark 18mo period of time saying goodbye that left me changed, fundamentally. Not necessarily for the worse or better, not even really wiser... but definitely a different one than before nonetheless.
But you're right, I wouldn't change a thing and just a few years later on, I'm doing it again. Said I wouldn't... _couldn't!_ ... but one rescue needed help desperately, then another was found in a snowstorm two months later. Both the same age AGAIN, jfc 😂

@@DarlingMissDarling it’s so nice to speak to someone who understands. It’s painful, it’s heartbreaking but it’s so worth it to spend that small period of time with creatures so loving and pure. He was an absolute menace that would steal my food, accidentally rip holes in my favourite clothes, get so excited the would jump up on me and cover me in bruises… but he was my menace. I’d give anything for another day with him.

As a horror movie buff, this movie got me, I also went in completely blind. I haven’t watched the second one yet but I’m in no rush, whatsoever! Also being high and laughing through the pain is how I exist lol
I can say the 2nd one was far worse. To all the people that have seen it, you know exactly the scene I'm talking about
I watched the second one in the theater(instead of sitting in rush hour traffic). It was actually kinda fun to watch in the theater. It was a far better movie than the first. The violence is pretty extreme but it doesn't feel realistic. The infamous "bedroom scene" is so over the top you can't even take it seriously. As violent as that scene is, it's so over the top that I wouldn't consider it truly disturbing. The "saw scene" in the original was much harder to watch imo.

@@andrewjudeus6283 I actually saw Terrifier 2 first before going back to watch this one. So, maybe there's a bit of bias going on idk but I also thought the 2nd was better in almost every regard
The "cat lady" is played by Persian trans actress Pooya Mohseni. I really hope to see her in more stuff especially horror bc I thought she was wonderful she has such a presence to her. In my opinion she and David Howard Thornton (art the clown) kind of carried this movie along with the great practical effects bc yeah everyone else's acting was stiffer than Kevin Spacey if he walked onto the set of a Pampers commercial.

I love how this one and the sequel remind me of 80's horror movies at times, yet they find a way to make it their own. Art is unhinged. 😅 Really appreciate you watching this for us and hopefully Part 2 eventually lol.
