Her arms shows how hardworking lady she is.Not easy to grind using a stone grinder.Love the way they live and cook....everything is organic and plucked from backyard...
Grandma works so hard shes so elegant and slim. I hope her family treats her with great love dignity and protect her from all calamities when shes unable to no longer look after herself.
Don't throw that coconut water I love to drink. Just kidding. Grandma you are amazing cook. Love your cooking and you too. God bless you. Whole family are blessed by God gift, good in cooking. God bless your whole family. Live helthyand happy life♥♥
I am from the Caribbean and we have so much similarities: from the way you prepare food, grate coconut, utensils that you use, for example the coconut grater and the sil (stone grinder). The firesides! My ancestors came from somewhere near South India, but the videos tells me that they just may have come from Sri Lanka. Just goes to show how traditions live on! It is so awesome to see you Grandma. This reminds me so much of my Grandma and growing up with her. May God continue to bless you for many many generations to come!
South Indian's have the same stone grinder.. well nowadays everything has become electronic but some still use a stone grinder!! But i remember my great grandmother (exclusively) and grandmother (occasionally) using a stone grinder.
Ohhh, que peculiar forma de pelar el coco, de rallarlo y ése batán me encanta!!!, quiero uno igual, linda abuelita y su forma de cocinar super, saludos!!!!
The chilly will burns my hands whole day if I do like her... She have a magic hands and the love on the foods she made...I had experienced for this food, but done know how to made till I viewed this video...thank a lot...I will try soon.
I bet not many people know that using the stone grinder produces a more fragrant and flavorful paste than an electric one because the stone grinder crushes the spices and releases essential oils (electric ones just cut the ingredients into fine bits).
I watch just about all of the videos you all post. The recipes are amazing. I purchased a mortar and pestle just to make some of your dishes. I will eat anything you all cook lol. Thank you all for sharing!!
Awesome... The place and the food looks exactly similar to what we have in Kerala.. however we tend to use more tamarind more than lime in our preparations
its same in my vilage to, we call (sambal kelapa), but we put some chope turmeric leave, lime leave n chope of lemon grass. BTW I'm from Aceh Indonesia😊😊
It occurs to me that these ladies are like super heros. I would not last 10 minutes if I had to fend for myself there. If I did not fall on the coconut blade then I would cut my hand off with the knife she used to crack it, or I'd shred myself with the coconut shredder and if by some miracle I survived all that I'd starve because I could not start a fire. ❤️
Oh my gosh just please block colonyofcells! Your family is more healthy than most I've seen, because they WORK, eat home made seasonal and nutritious food and enjoy a family and community. ✅ What a blessing. Thank you for sharing.
I like the way grandma move her hand to get the ingredient back to the grinder center. In Indonesia we had also coconut sambal but usually we add galanga and kaffir lime leaves for aromatic flavor, then we mix the sambal with boiled green veggie, long bean, cabbage, carrot and hard boild egg. The dishes called "Urap" or "Gudangan". It's yummy and healthy, the version of Indonesian warm salad. I loveee it.
In my state this is called chammanthi. coconut, red or green chillies, tamarind ,ginger, curry leaves and salt. grind and mix. chammanthi ready. vary tasty and simple. as usual every thing good except waste the coconut water .miss little cutes in this video.
Los colombianos no preparamos los alimentos tan condimentado ni tan picante. Hi, I from Medellín, Colombia: The colombian people don’t prepare the food as spicy and hot as you, but I enjoy yours videos. Thanks.
Live the old fashioned way of grating coconuts. I used to do that for my mom and grandma, too. Our coconut grater was made in Thailand and it could be folded into a box. The blade was shaped like a cockerel's head.
Proud for u.but u must add location and more informations because we have to spread the word that we have rich culture. Please put the name of our little country on ur channel name.thank u.i love my country.
I have to remember to write down the names of some of your ingredients used. Because some names are different in proper English. No problem. I very much like that your foods are healthy and not very much meat. Much better for our earth environment and not necessary for good health. I worry for the lost jungles and rainforests and natural homes for animals. indiscriminate destruction to make money. Not ALL westerners are greedy, selfish and unaware of needs of others in the World. To live a GOOD LIFE we must work hard and take care of the world and each other, which you do. My respect.
We use lot of fresh coconut daily in Sri Lanka. We prefer to drink king coconuts it’s more sweeter than coconut water. Women have no interest of drinking coconut water as they break at least two three coconut a day
It costs so much here in UK for coconut water its hard to watch it being poured away. I wouldn't know if what I buy is good quality or not I buy occasionally as its supposed to be healthy. Are king coconuts the green ones?
sarani tharuka thanks I have never seen an orange one before. Mostly if you see coconuts in UK they are the brown hairy ones. During the Nottinghill carnival they sell green ones for drinking. They have the top cut and a straw inserted.
Marilyn Capehart you know.. that's because this coconut is already matured..we normally drink young coconut water.when it is matured, the taste is not so good as young ones
So much fresh chilli in srilanka why put dried rubbish. It's 100% more nice with fresh chilli. Better than some of the other wanna be Kalu suda videos. 😋

Yes so true. They don't need to go to a gym.. 😁
The women in your family work so hard for your daily meals. That is a great sacrifice. You should have some men help her

Why waste the coconut water its very healthy to drink
Yes, you are correct. Thank you
TfS Why do they throw away the Coconut Water 7-9-18
Yes, wasting free energy drink. In the early days, they used to have plenty of coconut from their own backyard made them common.
