This is hilarious that you can go from riding a s1000 to a giant boat! You are the man.
He might ride a man too
@@nipnope8729 How nice of you to share your hopes and dreams
@@nipnope8729 hey! A free ride is a free ride.
Don't watch his moto2 racing you might learn how stupid stuff like this is putting the usa futher and further behind in the world of racing Ricky Bobby.
B.O.A.T = Beast Of A Thing!
I’ve been so pumped on this event since it was first announced. I’m not even a Harley rider. I just think it’s going to be awesome watching some of America’s best road racers banging bags (saddle bags, you delinquents) and dragging hard parts on 800lb machines that sure as hell aren’t supposed to be ridden like that.
"road racers" ? ......looks fun but ...ROAD racing it's not ...try Tubes of You hole of rabbits for..ROAD WARRIORS IRISH ROAD RACING ....even Josh may park the "bagger" for that one ?
@@tonypate9174 Not sure why you have "road racers" in quotes. Josh Herrin, Ben Bostrom, Hayden Gillim, Cory West, Travis Wyman. All racers of the road variety racing on a road course. This might be news to you but the term "road racing" also applies to closed circuits. Not just Isle of Man.
@@skwidvids Sorry looks like circut/trak to me ...Bob
@@BillNiersbachChap ...."on a track"......"called".....but it's not ROAD racing as in REAL ROAD RACING is it ? Wilhelm that's a whole different game and not the 650ib "epic" street kind.....bless him ...in slow out fast and keep it shinny side up....er Dude
@@tonypate9174 You're correct, Anthony. It is a circuit. Like I already said, the road racing term also applies to closed circuits.
I'm backing it.. can't wait to see the race. Shit is going to be rowdy with these things dropping down the corkscrew.
Good shit man. I love my '17 cbr1000rr... but I also love my Ironhead. Bikes of all types are what make riding and the sport interesting. Glad to see this type of content.
It's so badass that you're wiling to try out a totally different type of bike in a race scenario like this. Doesn't seem like there are many open-minded people like that in the world, and I think that's a super respectable quality. Awesome man, keep doing you!
Excellent reply. My hats off to these bad boys !
I’m not sure what race scene you’re in but almost all my track events people loved the idea of non sport cars/motorcycles racing
I gotta admit i thought this event class was gonna be lame. But when i saw that guys like ben bostrom, tyler ohara, and you were doing it made me think this might be kinda cool. Thanks for signing up for it Josh!
I’m loving everything about this event! Send it!
That wobbling on straights and just before entering corners looked scary!!
That bagger was wobbling like hell on straight line and while entering the corner
Even when modified 🤣, its a fun project but its clear that even with modifications these bike are not made for this.
@@drifterxl12 I think it's great for street bt not for track
@@drifterxl12 the issue is almost certainly the frame, those older frames weren’t stiff enough for that kind of power and handling. If they stiffened the frame I bet it would ride on rails with all those other mods
@@arcandarnold8084 I had a 2011 street glide and now a 2019. They are better in the straights, but a handful in a corner. They want to gallop and then wobble
@@drifterxl12 I mean, obviously. If they were, they would be the bike of choice for MotoGP. 😂😂
That being said, it would be kind of cool if they were all racing on fully stock Street glides just for shits and giggles. From my understanding, it's just going to be him on the street glide, right?
Oh man, I saw this on IG - that is so freakin' badass. You are such a demon, dude. Bravo.
That back end weaving at speed looks sketchy AF.
The bike is more "racy" than I expected though.
Right! Imagine going down the road at 100 mph while it wiggles. Lol my harley does it, scary stuff.
I noticed that too. What is causing that weave? Weird aerodynamics from the fairing or bags?
@@metalheartmachine Mine is a 2008 and from what I understand is that the frame is just an old design and causes the bike to feel "loose" they make stabilizers that fix it for about $200. Or in other words old frame and not very rigid mounting from motor to frame. It could also be the aerodynamics, the wind throws me around a bit and causes it to wiggle. But it doesn't feel like the bike would just fly out from under you. It is just scary.
@@metalheartmachine very flexy frames for all that weight. They are made of cheap steel. For how heavy those bikes are they should have a frame made of good chromoly steel.
@@backcountryme so, a good course of gusseting and frame bracing is definitely a must.
I love how halfway through the video you guys just gave up on the bleeping
F'ing A
2:03 look how wobbly the bike is. The bike still wobble even with those upgraded suspension and wheels
That's not a 'defect'. It's a 'feature'.
It's a trick to scare other riders.
Well, she’s a little overweight but you can’t tell her
That means they lowered the front triple clamps to help with tight turns, only draw back to this is head shake at high speeds.
@@ryanweber9897 Isn't the wobble caused by the bike geometry? It not suited for such high speed. Also like BMW 1000XR, it handle great with corners, but at some high speed point it also wobble.
Josh Bad ass. Great to see a bagger hustle around a track. We have a cornering class here in Oregon on a go kart track that I scraped the floor boards of my bagger all the way around the corners. The other instructors just shake their heads and say I'm showing off. Nope just like to be on the edge. Keep the shiny side up.
That's awesome dude! Looks cool, will be fun to watch.
wheres the custom swingarm/triples in the drag specialties catalogue lol
on a real note, this is way cooler than I thought, can't wait to see it happen
I've done track days on a Harley FXDX and by no means was the slowest out there.
Nearly the slowest but not quite the slowest.
How do you think a Honda shadow would fare?
I’ll definitely will be watching. Your a blast to watch when your having fun!!!
Awesome video!!! Love seeing these RV’s on the track!!
This is F'ing great!!!! I laughed my ass off! Love it! So funny to see those big baggers running around the track with the sport bikes! Great idea!
Love the comment about getting on a bike to get other riders interested. A true patriot of the sport!
Awesome video Josh. Need those CapIt tire warmers. Wanted to get into novice racing next season and those warmers would be awesome.
bro, im really happy for the way things had turn up for you. i remember watching your videos doing crazy stuff in the street now you are doing big things. i wish i was this lucky. to go from eating my nails because some times ididnt have the gas money to get pay for do what i love
Great vid!
Classic “Harley Speed Wobble”
you noticed too
This gives me hope with my FXDR I am determined to set mine up for racing, yeah !!
Bro. That was great. Good luck at Laguna. Give them hell🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Bro you gotta hook up one of those silver airstream trailers behind that Cadillac lol lol, you are a god amongst men josh! oh and of coarse that bagger is baddass!
Can't wait!!!
Shoutout j pussman!!!!
You know it’s getting real when Dan Dan the fireman is commenting
On the medical review?
🗣Watching This Whole Thing, Then I Just Seen The Race & He Got Last Place #11😂
Looking forward to seeing the exhibition races!
Every time I watch your vids you are damn positive and smiling! Wonderful to see so much positive emotions, Cheers from Russia
That is badass! Thing rips! 🔥
Anything motorcycles is a good thing. Bagger, Cruiser, Sport, Classic, Modern Classic, Brat, Chopper, Hardtail, Soft tail, Cafe, Tracker ... once you fall in love with bikes, it doesn't matter.
Hella skills Josh, really nice riding... well wishes brother!
Sick bike ! Cheers from Belgium. God bless
Wow that thing looks like it moves around a lot. Can't wait to check this out
Man. Really wish I could sit on the hill with some cold snacks and watch you rip around Laguna on that thing. Next year, hopefully. Good luck this weekend!
We (around 20,000) were able to in Alabama last month at Barber Motorsports and we all lived afterwards.
I watched, excellent race! Couldn’t believe you got to do this.
The bagger race sounds dope. I ride a sportbike, but my dad's been a Harley guy his whole life. Definitely going to check it out. Awesome video
I bought a 48 sportster as my first street bike two years ago. A vicious bloodhound totalled it. I now own a 2019 FXLR and love it. Impressive riding on a 900lbs. bagger. You have my respect sir.
HELL YES I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE ONE OF THE RACERS
Right on Josh good to see you doing it and Great video 👍
JOSH IS BADASSSSS !!!!!
Man that's a beast!
Watched the race. Hopefully y'all can keep racing the baggers. Loved it!!
So sick!! As a guy that rides everything from supermoto’s to hogs I think this is awesome
Awesome Josh ✊🏼🏁🏆🍾
The bagger lookin like it’s busting through the gates of hell coming out the corners!! 😂 💨
plz make more like these I'm loving it
Looks like you guys succeeded in putting on a really entertaining show.
That is complete Insanity riding that bike at that level.
I took my gf's rebel 500 out on the good curvy roads last week and it was a blast any a friend on his 2020 r1 had to put forth some effort to keep up but i love this i would be racing wheel chairs if theres an engine keep up the good work fuxker lol
Man Josh you are a fast guy so kudos to you for making that bike go! I got the chance to ride a Fat Boy years ago after being on sport bikes and couldn't believe how soft it was. just watching the videos of you on the straits and the rear moving reminds me of how I felt on the bike especially in the corners, wallowing is what I told friends. did AMA not have a Harley class years ago? it needs to come back full bags! also cudos to the full access! a bunch of dude bagging each other!! lol.
Fun to watch and also i think this is great to inspire people that you can ride like this on a big twin.
This is why you have to love this guy great personality and will ride anything competitively for the win always!!!!!
Hell yeah!!! 💯🏁💨
I have to go to bed but a Josh Herrin video was uploaded
Atta boy!
It's like bringing a tractor on a race track. 👏👏👏
This is really cool that this race is a thing.
wait this is you !!! DUDE THAT IG PIC IS AMAZING!!! keep it up man you're making waves for the kings!!!!!\
With speeds approaching 52 mph. I smell new lap records
As a Challenger rider this was soo fun to watch and I also hope it grow moto GP!! Keep it up.
Huge fan! Been watching you race for years. My main bike is a Harley bagger rider so I'm super pumped to watch the event. I had tickets but they canceled it to the public, super bummed it was going to be my first AMA race I got to attend. Anyway I'll be watching and routing for you on the bagger and the BMW. Cheers
Much as I love watching SuperBikes, I'm really looking forward to seeing this race.
Awesome bro 👍🏾💯🇬🇧🇬🇧good luck I know your a winner 👍🏾💯
This looks like a blast!!!
HELL YES!!!!!!! I wish i was young enough to get out there on one of those!!!!!
Watching an 800 lb bagger slam down the corkscrew would be AWESOME to see in person...wish we could be there live for this!! Guys have been modifying thier Road Glides more and more to be able to hit canyons and what not...its a LOT of fun. Its way better for my wife too, as she loves rolling the curves but is NEVER gonna get on the back of my Ducati, but will jump on the Streetglide all day long
I built a 2001 dyna FxdxT t-sport. It was lifted 2 inch in the front 4” in the back and I know it could have easily done track days if I could get tires worth a crap
Imagine the carnage with a dozen 800lb HD's trying to brake on lap 1, turn 2 at Laguna Seca?
Don't forget the winners indian
@@RingTuned Harley needed some competition, for decades the only competition Harley really has had is Goldwing riders and that is a totally different style of motorcycle. I am glad Harley will have to push themselves, this style of racing is fantastic.
So,,,, would they dare open this up to all motorcycle manufacturer's? V twin class baggers ? That would be a hoot , it would rival NASCAR
@@littlet-rex8839 I would say all V-twins because if they don't you will have people putting small or large block Chevy V8s in the motorcycles like the Boss Hoss Motorcycles or other 4 and 6 cylinder car engines modified to fit in the frames.
@@Evirthewarrior but they would still have to be baggers, but yeah with a v-twin. My current sport bike is a v-twin. 2005 Sv1000s, and it would easily out do these baggers because it’s half the weight. lol
Glad you've finally got a proper racing machine! :D
Impresionante! Me encanta!
It wiil be a great race.
Congrats.
That is so freaking rad!!
Imagine a bagger at Laguna, what a handful! Good luck!
Even at ........The Bottom of Barregarrow ! .....Even after a "Kipper for breakfast"....
Awesome! 🇺🇸
Josh, I'm watching this to get psyched up for moving a refrigerator later today!
7:45 Josh: "My Dad's probably is so proud"....LMAOO WE ARE ALL PROUD.......LMAOOOO!!!!!!
Love Randy still doing nut shots from back in the willow springs days with race tech
Yo this is so badass!
Great rider. Class act!
Can you put some aero on the luggage cases to smooth out the wiggles or is that a weight distribution issue?
Is there any sort of slipper clutch on there, or is it ALL of the engine braking?
Watching that massive bagger lean that far looks sooo cool! If the manufacturer ever sell such bike, i dig.
I was like, that dude looks familiar. Then I was like, duh, that's Randy. Hella funny. He set my bike up a couple of times, R.T. . Good to see you always doing something new and different J. H. . I can dig it.
Your going to need a longer beard and a bigger belly. Jokes aside anything that can bring in more spectators and sponsors is good for the sport.
You forgot the pretentious and discriminatory attitude.
Anything other than sportbikes would be great.
At least they should have chosen a different Harley model like a roadster series would have been nice. Still is good they have something else besides sportbikes
@@levgtz7814 Oh, I see it's an international attitude 😄 ... unfortunately
And a degree in dentistry
beautiful lines mate ! mustve been hard throwing all those mass around with those gigantic balls
Siiick!!!
This is awesome. What kind of tires are you running on the bike? Slicks? Road tires? Sport tires?
We’re using Dunlop Q4’s.
I'm interested in how Laguna Seca will treat the brakes and tires on these bikes.
Josh was running Dunlop q3 or q4 sport bike tires thats the best tire tech that exists right now. Except full on hard slicks which is what I would think they would have went for. That said all that weight is really going to melt the rubber and boil the brake fluid.
Seeing him closing the gap, catching up on a super bike on a big twin Harley bagger, on a track, is definitely out of the ordinary
What kind of mph are you getting on the straight aways if you don't mind me asking
I used to drag the pipes on the right side and the primary on the left , on my 1971 HD Electra glide.
First I heard of this ... I can't wait to see this. Beemers & Hogs, does it get any better than that??
Omg i see this video on home youtube. Awesome.
😳 holy s*** you get the iron sack award big guy 💪🏿
Well you pushed that bike to it's limits, I can't believe how many times it looked like the rear end was lost, terrible suspension, excellent rider
Sick with it!
funny how the bagger passing those sport bikes ;D
Badass skill level! Building a 150/150 RoadGlide right now. What a thrill!
love this bagger racing has too be the next thing
Cool! Who won the race and what bike?
Always a good sport Josh!
