You talked about Hungary's inconsitsency, and you are partly right, but I think it was mainly because our key centre-back Orban was missing. For the Bulgaria game our striker Varga (39G in 45M) and Sallai were injured. And now finally Schäfer from Union Berlin is back from injury. So I think and hope we can do even better at the Euros than in qualifiers.

People doubted Italy heavily in 2012 and they made it to the final… people doubted Italy heavily in 2016 and they beat 2 of the favorites and lost on penalties. People were unsure about Italy in 2020 and we all know how that ended. Never doubt italy in the euros

Well, as a Belarusian, I’m not surprised that our team did not qualify for the Euro group stage, but I will root for Serbia and Croatia.

I have seen a lot of people putting Albania out, but it is also because Albania fell into hell of a group.
Spain, croatia, italy are 3 very strong teams even if Croatia has been a bit more inconsistent lately.
In my opinion, Austria vs. The Netherlands will be one of the most interesting duels in the group stages. This is Austria's big chance to underline their high claims and solidify themselves as an international name. Austria can upset bigger football nations (draws against France and Belgium, wins against Italy and Germany, just to name a few more recent ones..) and has been playing fantastically with what is their new golden generation. It's either now or never if they want to prove themselves in a tournament. I see them beating the Pot 4 team and putting up amazing fights against both France and The Netherlands. And most importantly, I see them potentially coming out on top in that fight against the Netherlands. Definitely something that can go both ways, but the way the Netherlands have been playing recently, Austria is definitely not without chance. Either way, they need to aim higher than just advancing through being one of the best 3rd placed teams. It's definitely something that is 1) well within their reach 2) their minimum goal and 3) they need to be satisfied with should it turn out that way, but if they don't go into this tournament aiming for something that will be a big challenge to reach, they're in danger of going out like they did in 2016 and 2020.

Netherlands has a better squad now compared to 2 years ago, but Austria too.
And I got to be fair, they have been looking good under ragnick.
But I don’t see them winning, this is still the team that made it to the quarter finals of a worldcup giving the current world champions arguably their toughest game. Netherlands has always been a lowkey top 5 European side.
They still need to grow under koeman, Koeman and van gaal are 2 hugely different managers.
On top of that Netherlands have been plagued with injuries or sickness every period.
Koeman hasn’t had the chance yet to built with a fully fit squad. De jong Memphis de ligt van de ven gakpo lang timber Botman malacia etc etc.
First of all, i would probably say that you are a Austrian. Yes ofcourse they beat Italy and Germany, but Germany and Italy are not the level they used to be, same with Italy. The draw of France was a year ago also.
But i do not say Austria is not dangerous. They have been looking really promising in the qualifiers, but i still think so many people underestimate the Dutch. The Netherlands havent got a chance to play with there full potential due to injuries or sickness in the qualifiers. They were missing 13! players against their 2nd match against France.
If they can play with their best squad possible in that euro, I think they can be a very dangerous apponent for France and Austria, and the whole euros.
No no no! Please Austria, take out France and spare the Netherlands. France has many prices already, Holland but one. We need to team up and kick out France from the tournament if we can.

As a scot, it's definitely possible for us to get out of this group. The only game I'm really nervous about is playing Hungary, as they're a class act just now
I am from Poland and no matter how bad we played recently I still hope we can qualify and get 2nd or 3rd place in the group. We have many young players like Bułka, Świderski or Zalewski that I hope Probierz won't miss out

It's not the consistency that's the problem per se, but the absence of key players due to injuries.

The thing about Germany is that it's different from player to player ofc. Like how Gundogan actually does seem genuinely very devastated at their results.

Well, as Czech I can say we can repeat 2021 again, Schick after injury came back now and is again incredible. Many more players in great form so, with all respect to Greece i dont see them or Turkey defeating us. WE GO THROUGH!!!
Almost the entire Italian back line comprises Inter Milan players - Champions League Final players, Euro 2020 winners, and Bronze winners at the Nations League. Barella is the best midfielder in that entire group of nations. Chiesa, Raspadori, Udogie, Fratessi - all doing extremely well at club level. I know you're making predictions but though Italy are nowhere near what they were at Euro 2020, they still have the winning mentality in tournament games. I would hardly think they won't make it to the knockout round.

I agree with your predictions largely, although I think Italy will come through with their new coach and expect Switzerland to top group A. I expect Scotland will deflate like many times before (hope that's not the case). And I have a feeling that Austria will seal Koeman's fate as Netherlands coach.
Group A is not the group of death in the sense that it is not full of contenders, but all the teams seem to be somewhat equaled, and therefore it is the hardest to predict.

This revamped Greek team has balls of steel. Even in a tough group they managed to put up impressive results against France and Holland, only losing by 1-0 in two games with the goals being penalty kicks. The 2-2 draw against France also indicates how they can go neck to neck with the big dogs again. I can truly see them snagging a 2nd place in their group, given they qualify in the first place

Czech Rep. played the whole qualifiers without Schick, Barák was "unwanted", Hložek didn´t play too much (nobody knows why previous coach Šilhavý kept Hložek on the bench most of the time) and new coach Hašek will surely pick him up back (I mean Barák). Germany is near, so there will be a lot of Czech fans and it will all depend on actual form of players, but never underestimate Czechs, they love this position and I think your prediction will not succeed here ;)

Am a Scot living in Germany 40+yrs and follow both National Teams and I think thats not a bad call you made, if I could have chosen Scotland to beat anyone it would have been Germany on current form but then draw or loose to both Hungary & Switzerland as that is just what our National Team usually do.
Hopefully Serbia can deliver now that I dont have any faith in them, they always seem to deliver when I have more faith in the opponents xD

deinem Optimismus in allen ehren aber ich bin selber stolz deutsch zu sein aberich bin noch nie mit weniger hoffnung in ein tunier gegangen wie jetzt ich mein ja nur aber bei den letzten 4 tunieren 2016, 2018, 2020(21) und 2022 haben wir nur 2 mal die gruppe überstanden wovon es nur 1 mal in das Halbfinale ging (2016) ja und 2 mehr als erbärmliche leistungen bei 2 mehr als fragwürdigen Weltmeisterschaften wo wir als dead last raus sind also no offense aber wer da hoffnung auf ein erfolgreiches tunier hat weiß ich nicht ( und bitte nicht falsch verstehen ich hoffe natürlich trozdem das wir es doch schaffen und erfolgreich die gruppe schaffen nur bitte verzeih mir wenn ich da nicht so an Optimismus zeige )
I don't know if they able to go to the knockouts but damn i'm so excited to watch the Turkey's matches. They produced some magical talents in recent years like Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz. If their coach put them both in the starting 11 it'd be crazy.

Holland , Belgium and Luxembourg have massive Portuguese populations , we’ll have a massive support at the stadiums especially near the border with Netherlands and Belgium .
Germany also has a massive Portuguese immigrant population nowadays.

from croatia's first international tournament they have always impressed its really remarkable. So many semi and finals apppearances. They really do deserve a trophy i do think 2018 was their best team with modric and rakitic in prime but have internationals in playing roles at top clubs in europe and thats definitely recipe for international success.
Think argentina is set to for next couple tournaments to replace Brazil as top club in South america with paz, garnacho joining gonzalez, mac, enzo, romero, lisandro, montiel, molina, dibu, with messi, di maria, martinez , otamendi playing less. While France, Spain, England are set to be model for rest intl sides to follow with youth development probably in that order this Portugal side is really promising as you mentioned. Leao, ramos, jota, felix, bruno, bernardo, cancelo, dias, ronaldo, all playing at top clubs in europe in leading roles they can pass and run though you size, speed, skill and link up play bernardo pulling strings with bruno they can win and do so impressively. although I am from Türkiye , the games that I am looking forward to see is Group A games. Germany is the host but other teams are tough to beat and each match up is promising a thrilling fight. Scotland , Hungar , Switzerland....those teams are not the teams that you can sleep on.

I think Switzerland will be the dark horses for the euros for this year I feel like they are always under estimated but always at least make the round of 16
For Austria i am hoping Sasa Kalajdzic play as he has potential to be a great striker for Austria as Austria do sometimes have a problem with converting their chances

Our biggest issue right now is the injury of David Alaba. Impossible to replace such an experienced player.
