Viet Cuong is a member of the Blue Dot Collective, a group of seven composers: Viet Cuong, David Biedenbender, Jennifer Jolley, Benjamin Taylor, Omar Thomas, Jess Turner, and Roger Zare, who are “dedicated to composing new works for wind band that are well-crafted, compelling, sincere, exciting, and fresh.”1 5 Currently, Cuong is teaching at Kennesaw State University in Georgia as a music theory and composition instructor while working on commissions for the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics.
