Batman Joker - Perfect Psychopathy

In this scene, the Joker tells Batman that the public "will eat each other" when 'civilization' tells them to do so. While some social engineers are designing for this "reality", humanity, as always, will prove them wrong.

There was a social experiment- an infamous one- called the Stanford prison experiment. It demonstrated that given a position of authority and a free reign, humans basically default to sadistic bastards.

aptom203: Very good comment. Thanks for bringing this up.
But I must say that I've never ever full believed the Stanford Prison Experiement nor trusted the published results. I actually don't think it went the way it was described, as I believe the purpose of the supposed-findings were to act as propaganda to help convince the public that we are barbarians in need of strict oversight. In my experiences and study, I've found humanity to be totally the opposite of this.

Are there any books youd recommend regarding game theory?

It's based on lots of research, but noteably based on John Nash's "Game Theory". John Nash was the subject of the movie "A Beautiful Mind", which tells you the orientation of Hollywood and those people at RAND Corp behind Nash. Funny thing is, Nash's theory was proved wrong because people turned-out to be too compassionate.
