The gladiator has really grown on me. It's now one of my favorite trucks and I want one badly! Especially the rubicon with those big ol tires and wheels!
Love how he says that you can stow away chips, candy, footlong subs etc… into door compartment center consoles, & glove box. Because some people actually do that lol 😂.
That metallic grey really fits the all-black trim on this Rubicon. The only thing it needs is making the fake vents functional or at least a designed crash barrier. Their design is very beautiful and not looking outdated at all. Beautiful and I love it. And whoa the wheels are huge!
Dang they are nice, and is obviously capable with the Rubicon package. I'm also looking forward to the Ram TRX (T-Rex), and will be packing the 707 hp supercharged 6.2 Hemi. I heard that it will have fully adjustable suspension and steering, so it won't be just about big power and bet that Jeep is aiming for the Raptor. Hope that you get one too review, when it is released Joe
Excellent analysis on your part as you clearly walked us through the jeep gladiator. And I agree cool vehicle for sure. The only gladiator feature I did not like (and you pointed this issue out in the video) centers on those fake heat deflectors on the hood.
It is almost done right Joe. To be done "right" it needs 17 or 16 inch wheels, 4.88 gears for the 37's, and a Supercharger so it doesn't take two weeks to hit 60mph. Also, what does this Jeep have that other mid-sized trucks don't? Answer: A solid front axle, disconnecting sway bar, and a front locker.
Stock they are quite horrendous imo if it's not the Rubicon. Just a wrangler with a shitty bed. I'm in the market for a new truck but I can't justify getting a gladiator. (1) I've had an 01 Ford F-150 Lariat 5.4 V8 Triton my entire driving years. Since I don't tow much (use the bed all the time), the V6 doesn't do anything for me nor does that bed look like a suitable bed to haul heavier loads. Plus the rumble of a V8 is unbeatable. Just look at the Gen 2 Raptor. (2) The pricing of the Rubicon or a sport s with after market mods can be more expensive than a full size truck with a larger engine, better tech, and better payload capabilities. That's with the entire mid-size segment but that statement still holds true. In all honesty, they're taking away sales from the Wrangler rather than pulling truck owners from other brands. Lastly, (3) the lack of creativity is shocking. FCA had the ability to truly give them another lane in the vehicle market. Making it a total different experience from a Wrangler. But they basically took a Wrangler, threw a longer wheel base and bed on it and called it a day. Even the badging on it was a lazy attempt. I actually considered this for awhile as my next truck, but I've been using my head instead of my heart. A loaded Power Wagon is in the same range as a Rubi Gladiator.... let that sink in. Enough keyboard warrior from me though, great as always review kind sir!
Yeah. Love the Jeep review with the mods. Try and check out the mods for Jeep, GMC, Ford trucks for supercharged thru the dealers and keep warranty. Hennessy & others for turbo options when naturally aspirated! Love your posts!
I’ve looked at these on the lots and it’s a vehicle that begs to be upgraded! So you might as well add $15k to the list price of stock. I would also pick the eco-diesel option..

Hey Joe love your vlogs, 1 question though, why do people in Florida need a big ass truck like that? Where would they use it, you don't get snow, you don't have monster trails trails in Florida, i don't get it, ilive in Canada, and even where i live we don't need a big ass jeep like that in the winter time. Keep up that great vids i like watching your vlogs.
Hoooooooly mooooooooooly!!!! This is one heck of a beast, Joe!!! I love it!!!! Awesome review my dude!!!! #OnThrottle #RaitisRides #ToTheDoorPanel #TwinkiesForDays #HellcatAllTheThings
Hey Joe, I'm a fan of the Gladiator I know the price of that Rubicon wasn't mentioned. But I feel even without that added dealership goodies, Jeep over prices the Gladiator's. I was surprised the key fob didn't have the Automatic start on it or the heated seats and heated steering wheel. For a Rubicon trim i'd figure those options would be standard.
Do they come with the hard drive for music and videos on that U Connect? I have a 2011 Wrangler Rubicon that has an older U Connect but that 28 Gig HD is rocking... at least 5000 songs in my truck. I'll bet this one does too..
Hey Joe, excellent review as always. Two questions: first, could you possibly take a dealer-modified Gladiator like this (or even a Wrangler) to one of your "undisclosed locations" and drive it off-road for a video? By that I mean a light trail; perhaps an ORV Park with sand and mud, though not rock climbing that could scoff or damage it. I'm not sure if the dealer would allow you to do something like that with an unsold vehicle, but it would definitely be great to see how it performs in its true element with these modifications. Second, are the upgrades from Mopar or a different aftermarket source? Many cheetos, burritos and thanks !!
Hi Andrew! Thanks for asking such really great questions. I will not be able to take these off road since they are for sale to the public. They used aftermarket parts. I appreciate your understanding about the off road and thanks for watching!
@@PimpSolja49 Thanks for the tip! I've already seen that video with the Mojave and it is indeed a nice setup. It's just that I'm considering the Rubicon myself and so I was hoping to get Joe's take on that specific model in an off-road environment.

looks good, but like others have stated, I much prefer a 17" wheel with more rubber, than a 20" :). great review!

I was thinking that same thing how you gonna air down without some real rubber. 🤔 I’m liking the video not the wheels. 😉
