মধুমতি সেতু @ Madhumati Bridge

After the inauguration of the bridge, thousands of eager people thronged the entire bridge and its two ends till night. After a long period of suffering, the opening of the desired bridge seems to have become one with a different emotion and feeling. He enjoyed the taste of fulfilling his dreams by being able to climb on the bridge. Many walk from Lohagara end to Bhatiapara junction. Again standing in the middle of the bridge and enjoying the beautiful view of the Madhumati River. People from various walks of life are expressing their gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for fulfilling their dreams.
Earlier in 2015, the foundation stone of the bridge was laid. The work of Madhumati Bridge started in September 2018. This bridge has been built with the funding of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at a cost of 959 crores and 85 lakhs. A 150m long steel span is placed in the middle of the bridge which is curved like a bow. The six-lane bridge will be part of the Asian Highway. Four main lanes will be used for high-speed traffic and two lanes for low-speed traffic. The length of the bridge is 690 meters and the width is 27.10
This is the first 6 line bridge of Bangladesh.
