    Very pretty. I love those designs. I have a lot of acrylic beads my mom gave me & they won't fit on the headpins I got so I think these designs will work for them.

      Yes it’s a great idea! Do you know if it would work with the coloured paper clips? I have some of them. lol 💝🥰🤗

      @@susanroberts The trouble with the coloured ones is the plastic can peel off and get scratched. I'm working on some designs using them and did a few in this video: It's a terrible quality livestream though! ua-cam.com/video/rHx6FDHlW1Y/v-deo.html

    I have my pliers, wire cutters, beads and a Ziploc full of paperclips at the ready. Enjpying this IMMENSELY!! Just found your channel and saved most of the videos already. A weird question for you ..... after you cut the paperclips (or wire) is there ever a time where you sand or try to smooth out the cut edges? If yes, will sanding lead to tiny flakes to metal that could lead to slivers? Told you it was a weird question lol - Thanks again

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  Рік тому +1

      Thanks Leanne: You can file the ends or use a reamer tool. Some paperclips are worse quality than others and the metal can flake off. You can make these with 20 or 18 gauge Artistic copper wire if you prefer a better quality! Good luck. Heather

      @HeatherBoydWire I haven't done any paper clip earrings or paper clip rings I've just done paper clip bookmarks so far with paper clips but I'm willing to give it a try I've just done earrings and rings with normal wire so far but I have done some of your projects already and I love them and I'm having fun with them like the heart wire rings I've done I did a PRIDE ring like I said I did a flower ring like you've shown us people loved that when I gave that a go and shown it and some I still need practice lol but I'm not giving up I'm determined to keep trying 😊

    Thanks for the tut. I tried these and love them. But I have to say Heather, you must have fingers made of steel because after making four pairs my fingers are super sore.

    Can you do how to make earring hooks if you dont have pliers

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  3 роки тому

      Hi Emmalyn: You would need wire that can go in your ears like surgical steel or silver. It might be difficult to make without pliers. I do have a "no tools" video here: ua-cam.com/video/X_8sagNHKHg/v-deo.html

    What can you charge for these do you tell ppl what they are made from if so would that hurt your pricing since you're using paperclips

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Greg. As long as you use hypo-allergenic hooks (I use surgical steel) you can charge a decent amount. Maybe $12 to $15 depending on the complexity of the design. I actually don't sell this style of earrings so I'm not 100% sure. Good luck.

    Why are the beads called miracle beads?

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  3 роки тому

      According to www.jewelrymaking-beads-library.com/miracle-beads.html Miracle beads, also known as Magic Beads, are super-intriguing because they seem to glow in natural light. They also have the optical illusion of having a bead within a bead. Hence the names for these beads.
      These magic beads are a form of plastic beads. They are normally very bright and made from some form of fiberglass material. The bead is sprayed repeatedly with a reflective material and finished with an outer clear coating. It is these layers that create the tantalizing illusion of a bead within a bead. It is also what makes the beads seem to glow in natural light.
