His son proceeds to hire his friends, he now frequently buys them lunch and treats them. He is making it very clear through his actions that he wants to get rid of the staff that have been there the longest. I so glad i got out of there when i did.

Like ADR edits to inject audio that wasn't there during the shooting or when Rina listed her accomplishments it looks like she was going to list more but they cut it at one for the shock value. I was very careful about my reaction to that scene because of that. For the most part the restaurants/hotels are actually failing and the show is unscripted so there is value to be obtained. The most egregious things were actual genuine and were actually said.

I worked for a guy who bought his daughter a huge house in Knoxville Tennessee to use as a B&B. Used company funds (it was a corporation, not a sole prop) for the $200K purchase. I discovered it when I was auditing the books. He saw no problem with it. I told his wife to get the accountant and the attorney rolling on this issue. She figured it out real fast what her idiot husband did and the problem was resolved within a few months before the tax returns were begun. He never could understand how he wasn't allowed to just spend $$ like a drunken sailor. He drove that place into the ground. He spent less than an hour/day at his shop, and that was spent calling "friends" to come down and get huge discounts. His customer base was made up entirely of people who wanted free or close to it. He lost $$ on every one of them. His wife's retirement pension as a Teacher was subsidizing the place after I left.
I worked for another guy who claimed he "worked". He'd show up at 4:30 in the afternoon and start drinking in his office. We closed at 6. He was broke and mortgaged everything he had in order to keep the doors open. When the owners don't care enough to be involved in day to day operations, nobody else does.
That's when I decided to do my own thing and opened my own shop.

I grew up in a Third World country, my family lived what is basically the equivalent of being of above-average wealth, yet in spite of that, I grew up never feeling like I earned anything until I was of age. I was used to getting hand-me-downs, because I felt like that was the best I deserved. I was used to feeling like I didn't deserve nice things, because despite living well, I was surrounded by the occasional squalor of poverty around me growing up, and that taught me that other people probably needed it more, and that I should value what I had then and value what I have now.
Now I am an adult, living in the US, and when I didn't have a job, my mom would try to constantly get me nice things and I would politely decline because I didn't feel like I earned it.
But when I did get a job, and earned my keep, and for the first time when I bought something I wanted, it felt good, because I spent something I earned on something I wanted, and that's what it means to actually deserve something.
Growing up in hardship, or seeing the hardship of others, all the time, teaches you to value what you have, to sympathise with those who do not, and it imparts a kind of wisdom in you. Maybe it isn't for everyone, but youth should not be insulated from hardship, they should be exposed to it, or at least know about it, so they can learn about it, and learn from it.

Our supervisor was the WORST, she was always in her office on the phone, almost never helped out when short staffed. Oh and she actually put my life in danger when we had a MRSA outbreak from a client. Was going to make me put on my PPE INSIDE OF THE INFECTED ROOM because people might panic if they see me in my N2 mask (that they never got a custom fit for me) and body coverings. I can definitely back what he says about working for female managers. And I’m saying this as a woman myself. As a general rule, about 95% of the women I have worked under were the reason I ended up finding work elsewhere. At one of the main jobs I had I had a female store GM and female supervisor. Both were tyrannical and treated everyone like machines. I spent almost 2 yrs being called lazy by my supervisor multiple times a week. Yet I was responsible for the most stations during my shift while being the least senior person. She would constantly criticize that I wouldn’t work past my shift. Even though I had told her time and again it was because I had a second job. A job was at half her age I was in the same supervisor position. Oh and I worked 80+ hours to her 40. But I was the lazy one.
Compare this to my other job, the one where I was a supervisor. My manager there was a man. He was kind but firm. Supportive and mentored me into more responsibility til I was able to build myself up into the supervisor role. And once there he continued to mentor me and show me how to stop being a boss and start being a leader. I loved working got him. Knowing he was the guy I was working for and that he had my back and wasn’t gonna talk down to me all shift made feel good about going to those shifts. I was willing to constantly go the extra mile for him and take on more responsibility. To take the shifts no one else wanted.
Something I would never be willing to do at my other job.
And, unfortunately, the same trend holds true now in the military. I know very, very few female NCOs I would look to as an example of a good NCO and leader. They constantly talk about how us women have to stick together and look out for each other cause no one else will. And in that same breath will tear their fellow female soldiers down in ways I’ve never seen done by male NCOs. They will scream and yell about everything you are doing wrong but then never show you how to do it right. It’s sad honestly.

@Sesshomaru Uzumaki - Fair comment. This isn't my quote. He drops it at the end of the video, and I thought it was the most impactful statement in the video.
I believe what you said is indeed the case. I'm sure it varies from individual to individual.
This next part sounds ignorant to say, and I'm sure someone will misconstrue this statement, but I wonder if it's accomplishment in the same way and in the same direction. I believe there are good women out there. I've worked with a number of them over the years, but there's a difference between work relationships and intimate relationships and dating.
I'm not sure if it's the times, or a chunk of women, who appear to be the most vocal/most prevalent/most dominant/maybe even the most desired, but relationship-wise a lot of Think Before You Sleep's material lines up. I don't agree with everything he says, but that's another conversation taken topic by topic piecemeal.
In regards to this specific video, I've seen this dynamic play out over the years. I've even seen it to the point where I've heard other women tell me they prefer male to female bosses. I've even worked with a manager like this who went out of her way to be mean/cruel to people and fire them on a dime only to have an entire store fall apart.
My only dogs here are this:
      1. Women should be on the same team, but it seems like women (again the group I alluded to above) seem to enjoy attacking men with little or no regard for men.
      2. I don't hear, nor do I see a significant number of women speaking out or putting a stop to manipulative/abusive women whereas men as a whole are quick to put a stop to manipulative/abusive men. In fact, men are quick to put laws in place to stop the abuse of women and the abuse of power in society (at least attempt to). They'll even go out of their way to contribute to a better society for women through technology/culture, etc.. It's too the point where even the implication of abuse is unspokenly treated as guilty before proven innocent. I've never seen anything amounting to that from women, and it kills me.
