- The first season of The Mandalorian had wrapped. I have to say, this was the best Star Wars story out of Disney since they acquired the IP. Star Wars should use this show has a roadmap to success for their new trilogy. The biggest thing I want as a fan of this franchise is to be completely invested in a story that remains consistent from start to finish, while also introducing new ideas about the Force and other things we do have a familiarity with.
Baby Yoda, IG11, Din Djarren, Cara Dune, Kuiil, Greef Carga, and The Client all deserve our praise for their excellent work in front of the camera. And every director did a fantastic job.
Can't wait for season 2 of the Mandalorian!

What I love is that Jon wrote the first 4 chapters for fun as a fan until Kathleen told him to finish it. I'm glad she did that because this show is gold. Characters, dialogue, acting, easter eggs and a plot twist that nobody was excepting. I was originally unsure about a live TV series at first but now I want more and I'm glad we've got another 2 on the way even if 1 isn't exactly what I wanted. I still hope for that Underworld series one day.
He's really good at his craft. I'm on team fav. Still support KK.

However with the finale, I don't think I can safely wear my Scout armor at conventions anymore :p

I wish there were more alien characters like Kuiil. I always wanted to see likable Nemoidians or Trandoshians in the Star Wars universe.
I love saying "Baby Yoda" but I do hope that we learn that species' name and roll my eyes when people say "can't we have some mystery?" Because stuff like a species name is trivia not some plot point that has to be hidden for the sake of mysterious mysteries.
My issue is that explaining every piece of trivia can make the galaxy feel a lot smaller

I love the Mandalorian! I can't wait to find out why Moff Gideon has the dark saber and what they'll do with it in season two.
This show brought me back to the Star Wars Universe, after the prequels lost contact for years. Even I could not see it on Disney+ (not available here until March) but read countless descriptions and seen UA-cam videos. It is so amazing and I am looking forward to see it in total. As you said consistent storytelling, and a tale which warm your heart combined with plain SW look - perfect. I appreciate that really, at a time of where the industry thinks CGI makes every tiny story a big movie.

This show was great, I really enjoyed watching the show as it came out, but now the only thing I use my Disney+ for is the clone wars
I gave a huge lengthy review in the previous Mandalorian video but let me extend on it by saying that what I think make this show compelling and stand out and stand up on it's own two feet is because it was something that nobody was ready for. No one was ready for the Mandalorian to bring us to this level of unexpected awesomeness and enjoyment the way it did. And what I think helps is that the show keeps giving us reasons to want to look forward to what happens next I can tell you right now as someone who is a die hard of the sequel trilogy I ask this ....How can we possibly sit around and wait for the second season to come at the end of this year most likely what are we supposed to do this wait is gonna be torture. Hopefully the marketing kicks up to another level whilst we sit around watching fan made baby yoda videos and day dreaming. Oh speaking of which and this is a huge announcement....BABY YODA PLUSHIES ARE AVAILABLE MAY 2020!! [Throwing confetti] OK that's enough but job well done to the whole Mandalorian team all the directors and cast members and a big big thank you and shout out to Jon Favreau [If you read this] You have come a long way since the glorious debut of "Iron Man" in 2008 and your journey as a film maker is only getting better and more exciting thank you so much and good luck.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I just binge watched it on sunday, and it is as star wars as star wars can ever be, they did it, I don't know how, but they brought the charm of the OT back.
They kept it simple and didnt worry too much about how series it all was. I think thats the trick.

Mandalorian is a very fun show, but it was a bit light on meaningful plot. Episodes 1 and 3 are the only ones that really matter for the larger universe, with the rest just introducing additional characters (episode 8 literally ends with the same status quo as episode 3).
Additionally, not enough people are questioning why a group of pirates starts with baby Yoda (I hope it will be explained, but can’t really imagine a good explanation).
Agreed, Nick! I loved it. 💜 Despite its blend of episodic and serialized storytelling (which some might find jarring), I think it's a stellar tale (the whole way through). Plus, it's rife with potential for future seasons. THE MANDALORIAN might herald "television" as the mainstay of the STAR WARS franchise if they can keep up the quality and frequency.
It hit the fantasy marks right on the head. I'm stoked for season 2.

& although I did love quite a few aspects of the sequels. This is what should've been done to create them! 1 (maybe 2) writers who know of Star Wars lore & care a lot about the content & provide CONSISTENCY is what could've made them so much better!

Finally watched it(yes I'm super late) first initial viewing it was good, but didn't grab me right away. Binging it and it gets better 👍 loving it now.
As a lover of the sequels and their flashiness and colorfulness, I have to say that The Mandalorian felt rather weird - slow-paced, in such dark tones, following a guy without a lightsaber. However, even when I found myself a little bit bored with the story, I still stuck to it just because the cinematography and the music are fucking amazing. Knowing that the first season is highly experimental, I'm still giving it a pass and looking forward to see what will happen next.

After the downer that was TROS for me, I can happily say that The Mandalorian is the best thing to come out Star Wars since The Last Jedi. It is what kept me excited for the future and I’m glad it did, because otherwise I may as well have taken quite a bug break from the franchise.
Have you had the chance to play Jedi: Fallen Order yet? I just got it a couple days ago and I can’t stop playing in my spare time!
I’d say my only complaint is that they say ATAT instead of A-T-A-T ;) jk of course

I think mandalorian TVseries are much better than the theater Star Wars. Movie star Wars lost charismatic attraction and poor reference.
