3:40. that children is the sound of silence! their shows are usually sold out, so to get a group of people like that, to be THAT quiet in a LIVE performance?! damn.
Avi co-wrote it. Kevin wrote first verse and most of the chorus; Avi wrote the second verse and flesh-out the chorus. Ben Bram, producer and PTX co-founder put finishing touches on song.
+Laney They're voices are quite amazing together! If you've heard the song Water, it really proves that Kirstie and Kevin can do great things when they work together
You can just tell how emotionally invested they are in their craft. That is so tough to see nowadays, and good Lord are they a breath of fresh air in a world of really crappy music. God Bless Pentatonix!
one of my favorite things about these guys is how many live recordings there are of them where they are JUST KILLING IT. whether at a venue like this or just the 5 of them in front of a mic. they can totally pull all this shit off just right in front of you with no effects or auto-tune. then you add the AMAZING arrangements. i'm just constantly impressed by their musicianship and the soul with which they imbue everything they do.
I still find it hard to pick Kevin out of the mix, and I'm always surprised when I do because he's not where I expected him to be. This song brings me to tears every time. Thanks for posting this.
Love their breakdown. True moments of polyphony (all you Sing-Off fans out there should know what that means - LOL). A total "eyes closed" song. That's how they perform it and how I listen to it. FANTASTIC!!
Love it!! Never heard a group sounding so good together. A perfect match!! And Avi... WOW, absolutely LOVE your deep voice. But who dares to talk while you are singing?!
I know a lot about PTX, I'm a big fan, but I had now idea that Kevin wrote this song! (that's what people are saying!) So I basically had 100% respect for Kevin Olusola and now it's like 101%
Lucy Foster They choose to take a collaborative approach, but yes, I think Avi had a hand in this one. The structure of it fits his background so well, with training in opera and classical music (of course, the last part also fits Kevin).
Yes, yes both of you are right, after doing more research and seeing a Twitter Q&A with Kevin, he said that Avi helped him with lyrics once he had the melody. It's still really cool that they did it together!
I love love love how mitch's voice rises when he sings the last run like he's losing breath it sounds so gorgeous. Usually when I run I run out of breath too we have so much in common
I didn't know Kevin wrote this, but that makes perfect sense. He is pretty religious if I recall from The Sing Off.. And this song is written just like a hymnal... Almost like.. In Rememberance.. By Jefferey Ames
This and the Daft Punk medley are my favourites off the new album, and I have just realised that this is a PTX original. Just stunning. I would love these guys to collaborate with Australia's top acapella group, The Idea of North. They have a much jazzier style, but these five have shown they can adapt to just about anything ....
This is what quality sounds like. Avi clearly heard, Kevin noticeably and distinguishably singing, those harmonies, and a respectful audience that didn't squeal even like I did at 3:35 and waited a good couple of enchanted beats at the end before erupting with applause
This was absolutely outstanding!!! Everybody held their own! I love when Kevin sings, it rarely happens, but when it does, it's always good! I'm done with Avi, he's TOO good!!! #TeamPTX
this is SOOO GOOD!!! at many points in the video, they are all just singing with their eyes closed... the feels ^_^ . Thanks for sharing! Wonderful vid!
The fact that the crowd is absolutely silent while they're singing just shows how good they are
That's just in this video, usually they're all noisy
Finally somebody holding a camera and it not being all over the place and you can actually watch the video without getting motion sickness.
Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh, man, the part where Avi, Scott, and Mitch sing as a trio together? GOOSE BUMPS.
Amanda McClendon certainly was and is and just about always reduces me to tears....just beautiful boys !!
3:40. that children is the sound of silence! their shows are usually sold out, so to get a group of people like that, to be THAT quiet in a LIVE performance?! damn.
I don't think I'll ever be able to get over how amazing Avi's voice is...
I've never seen Avi so calm. He usually dances like in a party.
You know it's an amazing performance when it has the power to silence the audience. Truly amazing
what i love most
that the crowd was actually dead silent during this
THANK GOD
Absolute silence in the audience...then a roar of approval. So well deserved.
Thank you Kevin for writing such a beautiful song!
Zack Serrott Couldnt agree more!Touches my heart in a very big way !
Avi co-wrote it. Kevin wrote first verse and most of the chorus; Avi wrote the second verse and flesh-out the chorus. Ben Bram, producer and PTX co-founder put finishing touches on song.
I want to cry every time I hear this. The bass part is so warm and rich I love it.
I love the pairing of Kevin and Kirstie!
+Laney They're voices are quite amazing together! If you've heard the song Water, it really proves that Kirstie and Kevin can do great things when they work together
D4ncingD4wn54 Yeah I've heard it (its one of my favorites on the album!!) and it does really show there :)
Avi is a very very strong bass! He is amazing! !
I think he's a trained acapella singer/opera singer. He is friggin amazing!
Joshua Horton he can even hum his low notes
This is vocal masterclass. So good you forget this is a live performance.
I feel like this should be a movie soundtrack, utterly beautiful!
Me thinks so too!
For some reason I think this would really suit the Chaos Walking series..?
YOU CAN HEAR AVI
ATTENTION
YOU. CAN. HEAR. AVI.
OH MY GOSH YESSSSSSS
AND KEVIN SINGING!!
+Taylor Nute hey I know your wattpad account! You have some PTX stories on there!!
Actually you can hear Avi too well at some points.
@@musichere3287 there's no such thing as hearing Avi too well
You can just tell how emotionally invested they are in their craft. That is so tough to see nowadays, and good Lord are they a breath of fresh air in a world of really crappy music. God Bless Pentatonix!

Kirstie & Kevins harmony is so phenomenal! They are incredible!
Folks, it doesn't get any better than this!
Love their breakdown. True moments of polyphony (all you Sing-Off fans out there should know what that means - LOL). A total "eyes closed" song. That's how they perform it and how I listen to it. FANTASTIC!!
I can clearly hear Avi's voice and its soo deep ♥
Section E is by far my favorite bit. So powerful, and so intense. Plus, the harmonies are so perfect!
Yeah, the bridge really sells the whole song here.
Kevin sounds amazing
you know they're good when they sound just as good if not better live
Love it!! Never heard a group sounding so good together. A perfect match!! And Avi... WOW, absolutely LOVE your deep voice.
But who dares to talk while you are singing?!
its like a breath of fresh air
Who needs studio version of these awesome people in Pentatonix when you are listening to one of their live perfomances?
Avi... Your voice literally resonates into my soul... and it feels goooood
This is probably the most emotional song I've heard in a long time. If not ever. 👍👍👍
i love the trio and then avi comes in deep at 3:18
I have no words...
i love getting to hear kevin
So beautiful! And can't get over how multitalented Kevin is. Cello, beatboxing and great singing voice too!
It's awesome how great they sound live, and I like how simple and moving this song is. Plus it's an original!
KEVINS VOICE IS SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL
I know a lot about PTX, I'm a big fan, but I had now idea that Kevin wrote this song! (that's what people are saying!) So I basically had 100% respect for Kevin Olusola and now it's like 101%
I was under the impression Avi and Kevin wrote it together?

IbokRock811 very talented man....means a lot to me
I love how their hands move, but each moves in concert with their own notes. it is a ballet of hand movements.
Yes! Whenever I want to know Kirsties exact fit/part in the arrangement of every PTX piece, I watch her left hand. It's all there.
This was live!? I...I...just...(*thud*).
This is so beautiful, I'm in love with kirsties' harmony
avi's voice is incredible. and this song is so touching
It's so awesome to be able to hear voices of Kirstie, Mitch, Kevin, Avi and Scott, not the whole audience during the song
Insanely talented people, amazing performance.
The bridge makes the song for me.
THIS is what they are supposed to be doing. Amazing.
*sigh*... What I would GIVE to see these guys LIVE...
wow that was beautiful. I now have a new favorite band
*Now ?!?
Transfixed by beauty.
Vienna hasn't heard harmony that awesome in a long time.
Their timing is perfect
I want to listen to this always, forever.
Great audio and video quality! And of course an outstanding live performance...
I think it's the best audio and video recording of the whole European Tour for this song ! Thank you so much !
Tadeeeeej :)
Wow , I actually got teary . So talented and what a beautiful song . Chills
About half way through I started crying. It's just a beautiful song, truly amazing singers and lyrics. Perfection.
oh my gosh the chills
CHILLS!
That was fantastic.
That was absolutely exquisite. Between these guys and Rajaton, I've finally got a working anti-headache solution after all the students go home.
Shivers.
I love love love how mitch's voice rises when he sings the last run like he's losing breath it sounds so gorgeous. Usually when I run I run out of breath too we have so much in common
If you do it long enough doesn't everyone though?
Omg SO incredible! This song makes me cry.
i want it to never ever end
I didn't know Kevin wrote this, but that makes perfect sense. He is pretty religious if I recall from The Sing Off.. And this song is written just like a hymnal... Almost like.. In Rememberance.. By Jefferey Ames
In Berlin they sang this off mic in a church. I was magical.
Kevin & Avi wrote it. :) Kevin w/ the melody, Avi w/ the lyrics.
In remembrance is one of my favorite of all time
Me too Tyriana, amazing to sing with a choir
Chills. 'Nuff said. :)
i'm melting!!!! holy gorgeous
OMG PTX that was ABSOLUTELY BEYOUND WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS is plainly AWESOME

i feel like crying after this..
I did.
This and the Daft Punk medley are my favourites off the new album, and I have just realised that this is a PTX original. Just stunning. I would love these guys to collaborate with Australia's top acapella group, The Idea of North. They have a much jazzier style, but these five have shown they can adapt to just about anything ....
Natural Disaster is pretty good as well :)
Thank you for posting! My favorite song on their new album.
Oh my God. So beautifuuuul!!!!
wow....so transfixed by this song....I love when they sing acapella. simply magnifique
This is the first time I get to watch/listen to this live performance (2013... hello!) How is that even possible? Love them. Thanks for the upload.
This was 5y ago! Would have filmed them much better now 😁 thanks!
I was there and they were absolutely awesome!
I love this! It has a Gregorian chants feeling to me. A kind of formality and reverence, yet with an emotional and personal colouring too.
Literally sounds like the track !! AMAZING AND TOUCHING
They were in MY hometown and I DIDN'T NOTICE! Damn it!
That was incredibly beautiful! Thank you!
Makes me smile every time
OMG...This made me tear up... PTX you're great!!!
This is what quality sounds like. Avi clearly heard, Kevin noticeably and distinguishably singing, those harmonies, and a respectful audience that didn't squeal even like I did at 3:35 and waited a good couple of enchanted beats at the end before erupting with applause
absolutely beautiful!!! love them so much
KEVIN!!! 😍😁😍
Dat bass Tho
I think they want to make me cry in the middle of math class
the most beautiful moment of the whole concert
Absolutely phenomenal.
This was absolutely outstanding!!! Everybody held their own! I love when Kevin sings, it rarely happens, but when it does, it's always good! I'm done with Avi, he's TOO good!!! #TeamPTX
