@@JustinBlazzzee all those that I mentioned were working in conjunction with Nip. When Nip found Iddris (who I know personally) he was coding in a corner at a Starbucks, David Gross was scrambling around L.A looking for someone to back his Vector 90 play. Marquise Harris Dawson was just a nobody city councilman pleading for investment in his district, Nip was able to bridge all those worlds and bring them together. Even when you dissect his fall-back (after a traumatic experience) option as his best resolve, you'll conclude him as a master-contriver. This has many results, including the cloak of "out of sight and out of mind." In this cloak, one can continue without distractions.
Plainly I say that the gems in this interview are going to change the music industry forever. Similar to when RYAN first changed the industry by using pre-sells of his album for budgeting the record by the release date. GENIUS!
Ryan's talent can't be minimized. He is such a gifted musician. 💫
Salute to Ryan Leslie, who recognized early the VALUE of his Intellect, love of Technology, and that of his Business Acumen.... each supercede his artistry(as dope as it may be)!!
Definitely
Loved how you worded that.. & I agree!! Genius-level tingz. Lol
Great expression.
If not caring about what society thinks, but knowing what society needs was a person, it'd be Ryan Leslie.
I have mad respect for this educated and solid brotha. As results of this interview, I am taking theses pearls of wisdom he dropped and running to hills with it and get my whole life together. I hope to network directly with him soon.
I can’t stand CTG in interviews like this. Ryan Leslie has SO MUCH MORE to offer than his past love triangles or what have you. CTG wasted damn near the whole interview talking about petty ish. This guy is a musical genius. Ivy League grad, taught himself how to code, and travels the world making millions and he’s not even on most peoples radar anymore. He is the definition of self made. He took out the middle man before anyone knew there was a middle man. R Les for Pres.
Coatomc speak on it
Coatomc Yea...and he wont mention how dirty of a dude Diddy was for messing wit his girl...
I agree you have an intelligent man and ppl askin dumb questions smfh
Well he calls himself God. What do you expect. Self loathing
He is so mature and well put together. What a great example.
RYAN LESLIE is one of my favourite human beings. The music is dope, he’s mad talented, a genius, so positive, humble af & trying to improve humanity 🐐❤️
Funny how his celebrity friends asked if celebrities should be that accessible, the fast forward just a few years and all their drama is being played out on reality tv. Vision is key and that’s what Ryan has in 2013. Good for him!

Facts
I think of Nipsey Hussle when I watch this interview just Ryan’s thought process and his mind , just not with the bullshit , works hard , low key , and knows who he is
J MTLFIT You serious? You would never say this if Nipsey were still alive. Nispey wasn’t a brilliant mind at all. I watched him speak and he was just another guy that people worshipped because he rhymed words. Meanwhile, Ryan Leslie graduated from Harvard at 19....
JustinBlazzzee ok
@@JustinBlazzzee sorry brotha, but all you saw was the rapper in front of you, you didn't see Iddris Sandu, David Gross and Marquise Harris Dawson behind him.
daboe0909 I researched the first name and saw that he is a brilliant coder. Good on him. That’s a talent and one that will serve him well in a world that relies more and more on technology. But I fail to see how this reflects brilliance in Nipsey.
Most importantly he was able to invision what the second and third phases of what those partnerships would look like, that was his brilliance.
Sometimes u gotta move in silence. I drove a hooptie for 4 years. Then Came to work in a 60k benz.. the said "whos car is this". Haha. They said ,"this u". Yup! "Oh so you put all your money into that benz" "no, i brought a home and my benz after I sold a rental i had for 5 years.. Yup. Moved in slience.. peace!
Thats whats up!
That’s goals right there
Congrats!
K John Pix of Benz and luxurious house
That's how you do it!🙏🏾
This interview was amazing. The focus on ownership, thinking LONG TERM, generational wealth JUST DOPE!! Getting in on technology etc... salute.
02nupe Say it loud for those in industry who are not building generation wealth!!
I watch this interview once every year because it feels like a lecture. I had to like and save it this time.
Most people don’t know this, Ryan scored 1600 on his SAT’s at the age of 14. This dude is a genius.
Yes! I remember that about him. He graduated from Harvard early too. I love how complex he is. Very intellectual & creative
Ama B Me too. I think he was a bit too advanced for them on this interview. I think CTG was trying to shed light on those who copied his style. He’s like, I don’t care, I’m beyond that. He’s looking to be someone people will talk about for the next 6 generations.
Wow! He’s too intelligent, to be limited to just the music industry. Salute to this brotha!
Right! Breakfast Club wasn’t ready for this one!
@@EtcEtcEtcPodcasthe is definitely a role model
This interview was very inspiring. He dropped a lot of jewels.
💯💯💯
T pain should have this he has loads of fans that didn't know about his shows.
They had a Harvard educated, multi-talented brother, that created a new form of technology to empower those without and they asked 30 questions about his ex girlfriend 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏾♂️
Sad
OrganicSoulJazz 💯 levels
OrganicSoulJazz ua-cam.com/video/idhUNswPxV0/v-deo.html
They don’t do any research for any of their interviews
OrganicSoulJazz #facts
This guy is a human CRM, he is legit and strategic.
lol trueeee
I still revisit the making of “Addiction”...one of the best things I’ve ever watched on UA-cam.
Same here. I head back there whenever I need some creative inspiration! :-)
The vid of Ryan producing “addiction” is still one of my fav vids on UA-cam
And the "right there" joint, so dope
X CRUZ as well as the 5 minute freshen up
I like how Ryan didn't dance around any of the petty questions but then ventured off into to why he's not focused on any of that! 💯
He kept it very professional and he kept his poise.
Yup .. numbers don't lie and he schooled them on that!
Not even the Cassie questions, didn't even know that she didnt show up to do the Diamond girl track... smh, She really f'd up
Tristan Charles, exactly. Not cluttering his mind with pettiness is gold.
He operates from a mature not messy ‘place’ he saw them coming from a mile off
This brother is about positivity.
Knowing your worth is KEY! Ryan Leslie knows that, just like Dame Dash.
Um Dame just went bankrupt didnt he
That would be a great partnership
Lmao 😂 don’t compare please.
Dash is stupid bro 😂😂😂
@@lavonnealexander6936 facts
He should be way bigger than he is . Ryan Leslie is super talented.
True indeed, but basically he's like forget the Fame, just give the check.. most ppl want fame over fortune
VERY underrated, I'll never forget when he made when he made beats for Cassie's biggest songs. Most of them he shoulda kept for himself to be honest.
I believe that comes at a price he didn't want to CONTINUE to pay. He's too smart for that and created another avenue for himself. But he won't be on Wendy Williams or anything like that cuz he ain't stupid or suicidal.
He is waaaaay big - just behind the scenes..
He would be if he didn't have such a huge ego. He brought something fresh to the scene and ruined his own style.
The way he explained the “cost” of negative petty energy to yourself and you mind i felt like i was gifted a secret of the universe. . All decisions however obscured even in ones minds have a COST.
Definitely agree!
This brotha is a gem. We need more like Ryan Leslie ✊🏾✊🏾
I like how Ryan did not let Charla derail him.
Brittney Robinson HUGE FACTS!
Effortlessly
Leslie, knows how to respond eloquently. When he said that rapping maybe alienated his fan base, due to how his 10 year anniversary played out which focused on his first two albums. Charlemagne couldn't even go further on that since the was no leeway left since RL admits it cannot be proved even with anecdotal evidence.
@@anthonymarquez1775 Charlemagne has the intelligence of an ant.
He speaks so well and is so positive, he is calm and it is clear he is internally happy and confident
I got to give her props, Angela Yee has great questions.
Ronny Galvao for once... she outdid Charlamagne... lol
Her Right There It’s just new for her to have good questions
Thank god for her cause the donkey guy is killing me. I want to know about what he is doing.
She has the capacity to conduct the best interview out of the three of them. She just be on that messy lip service shit sometimes
Hey Cuz!! Lol
he may be the smartest guy Ive seen interviewed within music. Im talking pure smarts.
Actually Souljaboy was first
intelligent, business knowledege..this man took the back seat and hes making hes money quietly.....he shud give a Ted Talk hope most of these artists can have a chance to watch this
It’s clear that Ryan did not want to sell out
I don't blame him
t breezo hbk and he was too smart for the industry, they had to X him out, he went against the grain
@@dwillwilliams1240 yup they rather him be another sheep
Breakfast club insulted the intelligence of their audience with this1. we dont wana talk abt cassie we tryna elivate as a people bee 😑
Straight up.
Exactly!! This man Ryan Leslie mentioned text message marketing tactics, investing in crypto currency and broke down record deals. I’d much rather hear that
THEY AND CHARLAMAGNE DO THIS OFTEN.... HE'S ALWAYS TRYING TO STEER AND CREATE FALSE NARRATIVES FOR GUESTS INSTEAD OF LISTENING. NOBODY CARES ABOUT 10 YR OLD STUFF WITH PUFF AND CASSIE. THEY DID THE SAME THING INSULTING STEPHANIE MILLS....
You'll have to think that they also have an gossip fanbase too
Real ass comment
Man Ryan Leslie handled this interview like a true boss 👏😁
I’m a RLS fan...he was waaaay beyond his time. I’ve bought everything album he’s made. Black Mozart was an epic movement that started video albums!! Applaud to Ryan
Ryan Leslie owns one of my favorite UA-cam videos, when he makes a song and plays every instrument. That video still 🔥
SARA it ain’t mines tho lol
Back when UA-cam was still raw af
Man ordered a hand trumpet same day shipping before Amazon 🔥🔥🔥
Ryan Leslie smart as hell. Meanwhile people thought he was just tryna rap more and fell off lol he was innovating the whole time.
“Diamond Girl” brings back memories of my high school days. 🏫 Good times man good times! 😌
Mustafa Ali facts I miss senior year 07-08
Lawd I miss it so much 😭😭😞
Ryan Leslie is an intelligent man outside of his artistry. 👍🏾
Toni B Yes he is! I enjoyed this interview! ✌🏾
Inside as well.
I like how he handled all the dumb questions with intelligence. 👏🏾
IKR and there were plenty of idiotic and irrelevant questions to go around.
Ryan is on another level and wave in the Urban music scene! No wonder he graduated from Harvard. Dude always been smart. These new/old rappers, or even bussines men, dont even have a idea this man has!!
They tried to put me in a box.... its impossible!! - R-Les
"Ryan Leslie Makes "Addiction" is one of the best beat creation videos i have ever seen. Dude is super talented.
Tell em again... been watching that video every night for 4 years
Weenie
This was a great demonstration of leadership, forbearance and knowledge of self.....and the man graduated Harvard....he is getting at the money his way.....BRAVO!
Love how positive Ryan was. He didn’t let Charlemagne drag him down in the negativity. He stayed on brand and on task. LEARN TECH people!
I was a big fan of Ryan Leslie in middle school n it’s crazy he looks like a techie I love talks like this technologist and futurists are literally the future 🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
Ryan Leslie is a god damn legend fr... this guy made the one of first ever beat making videos 🤯
Carson Beats seriously, ppl need to respect the goats while we still have them!! He was the first ARTIST I seen in video show himself producing his own music.
If you listen and apply what he's saying here, you too could make millions of dollars without being seen all over the place
