I haven't started driving yet, but I am curious to know why you chose to back next to another trailer. As a new driver I probably would have backed into one off those wide open spots with 2 open spots on either side. Is there a restriction for that? I can see it being good to practice backing but not sure if there is a reason I don't know about.

    What is that dinging noise?

Some of the dinging noises are called collision detection sensors. There's a radar on the truck that will detect if you're on the fog line too much or if you're too close to a vehiclethat's in front of you. All these dings are to warn you to correct your following distance ect. Also he wasn't wearing his seatbelt whle driving up to the office so a ding was going on for that to. Hope that helped out.
